Model Overview:

Since its launch in 1973, the Honda Civic has been one of the most popular compact cars sold in America. Its success can be attributed in large part to its consistently high level of quality inside and out and its long-standing reputation for reliability and low running costs. Impressive fuel economy and engaging performance have also played a role in making the Civic a top choice for many Americans.

The competition has largely caught up with Honda, though, and there are now many excellent small cars vying for your attention. Still, we continue to recommend the Civic due to its ergonomic interior layout, wide range of models and high resale value. For small-car shoppers in search of a solid used vehicle, the Honda Civic is certainly a smart choice, as its long production run and many variants make it easy to find what you want.

  • Great Student Car - 2001 Honda Civic

This is a good first car. I bought it off a family member. Fuel economy is EXCELLENT, highway driving can see upwards of 45 MPG. The engine is weak at low RPMs, and passing power isnt the greatest. This isnt too big a deal for a relatively gentle driver for myself. Steering is EXCELLENT; the car is very nimble and easy to steer, with a very logical and intuitive feel to the wheel. I always feel in control of the car.

I bought this vehicle as a replacement for a 95 Ford Contour, and from now on I will forever buy Hondas as long as I live. The performance of this car is awesome!

So far I had the car for 2 months, and I absolutly love it. My best gas tank has been 28 mpg in city driving .I have no problems with it and I always look forward to driving it.

  • Love it! - 1998 Honda Civic

I love this car so much that Ive kept it for 8 years! Ill probably have to get a new car soon, because of space issues in the back seat (its too difficult for elderly parents to get into the back seat!)

  • Great car for everyday use - 2013 Honda Civic

We brought this car at the end of 2016. It was a 2013 EX PZEV certified pre-owned. It is almost new inside and out. The cabin noise is very low, almost quiet with the fan off even at highway speeds. The acceleration for merging is more than adequate, the handling fantastic. This model did not come with navigation but has 2 usb, and an aux port. The back seats are roomier and comfortable than a kia or mazda. The outward visibility is the best. I am averaging 27-28 mi/gal in the city.

  • DO YOU WANT TO DIE - 2016 Honda Civic

Several times the hesitated upon acceleration. Almost hit several times crossing streets infront of on coming traffic. The seats are great if you are a little little tiny person. Do not curve very will for a comfortable ride. more to follow

  • Quick Steering - 2007 Honda Civic
    By -

The Civic has very quick steering and at highway speeds you need to concentrate. It hanles very well is comfortable, peppy, and good gas mileage, 27 city. Compared it to a Mazda3, but the mileage, styling and dash sold me. I do not regret it at all. A bit too much road and wind noise. My other car is a BMW 5 series, and I prefer the Honda. This is my 4th Honda since my 1986 Accord. The new civic is exactly the same size.

  • Love the Car and Driving Green! - 2006 Honda Civic

The only thing I didnt like were the beige cloth seats -- they show the dirt. If the civic hybrid would have come in a hatchback, I would have purchased it instead of the sedan.

  • What a great little car. - 2005 Honda Civic

We bought it because were trying to get good in-town gas mileage in a car that has comfortable room for 4 adults. We havent been disappointed. Im the engineer, but my wife routinely gets the better mileage around town (41 vs my 40 on the trip odometer). Our mileage on the trip odometer is actually a couple mpgs low, because it over reads gas consumption a bit and because the speedometer reads 1.5% fewer miles than we really travel (measured on 100 miles on I95 in SC) (this also explains why it understates speed by 1.5% as well). Actual gas mileage, with 1000-2000 miles on the odometer: 37 @ 80mph, and about 44 @ 65mph.

  • Near perfect - 2006 Honda Civic

I recently purchased the Honda EX 06 automatic transmission sedan. I am very pleased with the car. I shopped this car and a few others. I was suprised how bad the Cobalt ran, it was awful in my opinion, noisy cheap feel. The next one was the Mazda 3 2.0. It was nice enough but was not as good as the Honda. What is love about the Honda is how quiet the car is on the road, the doors close with a luxury car thud. It handles and accelerates very well. It is roomy inside,is well-made and well thought out. The Sat radio is excellent The Nav System too although takes time to figure out. Living in New Jersey, the one thing I would have wanted was heated mirrors. Thats about it. An excellent car
