Overview & Reviews
In typical Honda fashion, the Civic receives a number of minor changes this year in order to keep it fresh. For the coupe and sedan, there's new exterior styling, including restyling for the front and rear bumpers, hood, headlights and grille. Inside, the audio speakers have been upgraded, extra sound deadening material has been added and floor mats are now standard in the LX and EX. The LX trim has slightly bigger wheels this year (15 inches) and standard keyless entry. A new value package contains air conditioning, a CD player and a new center console. For the Si hatchback, there are new headlight and taillight designs, larger 16-inch wheels and flashier interior trim. Like the regular sedan, the Civic Hybrid has updated styling, standard floor mats and improved speakers. It also has a new interior console with an armrest, adjustable rear headrests and a manual driver-seat height adjuster. Finally, all 2004 Honda Civic sedans and coupes have a new seatbelt reminder system.
- Fuel-efficient and environmentally friendly engines, roomy interior, reputation for durability and quality, impressive crash test scores.
- Top-of-the-line models are pricey, antilock brakes not available on DX or LX.

Happy Shopper - 2004 Honda Civic
By Gr8t Kar - April 15 - 10:00 amFernandez Honda is a new dealership in San Antonio, TX. They have a very professional establishment. I did a lot of research prior to buying the car and did very little negotiating. I set a price and stuck with it. The facility has free internet, popcorn, vending and movies availiable if you need any maintenance. A+ for the management.

Pitbull of Compacts - 2004 Honda Civic
By Raja_Naga - March 19 - 2:00 amI got my first Honda and drove home from the dealership in 4 inches of snow...Michigan weather. It was a test that showed me how the car handles. Great manuverability in changing lanes on slippery, wet roads, the ABS kicked in. Good stopping at lights and great acceleration and traction on turns. All the while my kids slept comfortably in the back seat. Performed admirably...I give it an A-1 and Ive driven a lot of cars over the years.

im in love! - 2004 Honda Civic
By lannabug - March 14 - 10:00 amThis honda is my first car, Im a 20 year old college student. I couldnt decide between a civic or a corolla. I test drove both and decided that the honda was the better choice for me. Im in love with it! Its beautiful inside and out. I have it in the new color for 2004 (magnesium metallic) and the interior cloth is gray. It rides nices, the sound system is decent, everything about it is perfect for me! We shopped around on the internet and used the TMV price to settle on 15,200. The dealer we bought from was great, but the dealer we test drove from tried to sell us an $800 package that was unecessary. Dont fall for an extra fees!

Easy on the wallet - 2004 Honda Civic
By Master Sargeant - February 5 - 2:00 amI bought my Honda Civic DX after driving the same Explorer for the last 13 years. I wanted a good car a fair price, dependability, good safety rating and somthing that would be comfortable for a family of 5 to buzz around town in. I was very impressed with the mileage...I went 450 miles, before I had to refuel. THe 2 drawbacks to the car have been road noise above 60 mph and a vibration type sound coming from the drivers door around the mirror area...cant figure it out. Overall it is a wonderful ride. I will take it in a have Honda check it out.

Cant Lose With A Honda Civic - 2004 Honda Civic
By Abraham White - January 8 - 8:36 pmThe wife and I had our hearts set on a Toyota Corolla. We test drove one, sat down to negotiate the price, the salesman was playing their games so out of spite I told him we were going to go to Honda. We did, and test drove the Civic, out of spite, but fell in love with it. Better handling than Corolla, better stereo system, much more comfortable ride, less road noise, and better overall fit and finish. And best of all to the wife, it was better priced than a comparably equipped Corolla. After all it was Consumer Reports Car of the year in 2003 or 2004 I cant quite recall but you can look it up. Cheers.

Best Well-Mannered Car for the Buck - 2004 Honda Civic
By amangle - December 24 - 2:00 amIf you are reading this review you already realize the quality and value of this vehicle. I dont want to beat a dead horse, but your not going to find a better car for the price. You cant go wrong with great relability, safety, gas mileage, resale value, etc. Drive it, I did, and you see what I have now. The transmission, ride, and engine are smooth as silk. Great Car. No hassle buying, wonderful experience. I recommend Rob M. from Herritage in Westminster, MD. Great laid back guy. Third Honda (Oddessey and Civic Si Hatchback) from the dealership.
