Model Overview:

Since its launch in 1973, the Honda Civic has been one of the most popular compact cars sold in America. Its success can be attributed in large part to its consistently high level of quality inside and out and its long-standing reputation for reliability and low running costs. Impressive fuel economy and engaging performance have also played a role in making the Civic a top choice for many Americans.

The competition has largely caught up with Honda, though, and there are now many excellent small cars vying for your attention. Still, we continue to recommend the Civic due to its ergonomic interior layout, wide range of models and high resale value. For small-car shoppers in search of a solid used vehicle, the Honda Civic is certainly a smart choice, as its long production run and many variants make it easy to find what you want.

This car is a perfect station car. Good fuel , good reliability, good comfort. The one bad thing is I do not feel safe in this car , because it is so small.I know it got great crash tests but I still dont feel safe.

Just purchased this vehicle today to replace 96 Accord Ex with over 475,000 miles. My wife and I took two test drives and they both went well and the comfort level is outstanding. Stepping up to the EX and EX-L package provides a major leap in comfort and some added safety as well. If it is in your budget, its well worth the upgrade. This car confirms my belief that the civic is the absolute best car in America when taking into consideration the overall cost, value, reliability, safety, fuel economy, and quality. I would challenge anyone to beat it because there would certainly be few competitors.

I was contemplating between Toyota Corolla Sport and Honda Civic for awhile. I finally decided to purchase the Honda Civic due to its great design and well-known reliability and performance. The test drive was impressive. With that said, after a few weeks of driving the car, it has its hiccups. For example, the drivers seat is a bit uncomfortable because of the angle and cheap fabric. The USB feature doesnt recognize my android phone or a USB media device, while the bluetooth capability stutters frequently. Noise cancellation is zero. I can hear the tires going over speed bumps, grooves on the roads, and uneven pavement. The radio does help mask the noise a bit but nothing impressive. Pros: all the entertainment features, phenomenal braking system, and acceleration. Overall, the new Civic offers more than enough for money. Hopefully it will lasts through graduate school and then some.

  • Loved it! - 1993 Honda Civic

Purchased this car used in 1999 with 80K. Drove it daily and never any problems - and I dont maintain cars until 150K. Loved it! Unfortunately so did the thieves - they stole it from my drive way. Cant say enough good things about my car.

  • A stylish investment - 2008 Honda Civic

I was considering the ever so popular Mazda3 in this class, but the 2008 Civic definitely met my expectations. Excellent performance driving for its engine power, stylish interior, one of the highest fuel economies for non-hybrids, and tons of extra features (EX model) has given me a smile every time. My advice for those stuck deciding between a Mazda3 and a Civic: there is a performance difference that Mazda3 wins only for its V6 model. The I4 engines for both give comparable performance but the Civic gives more MPG, legroom for rear passengers, and better quality interior. Save the money on gas to buy a sports car later, if you are in this bracket you shouldnt compromise!

It isnt the quickest vehicle on the road, but it is fun to drive, easy to maintain and is definitely worthy of the "best selling compact" title. This is my third Honda and I have no doubt that it will hold true to the quality and reliability of its predecessors.

  • What a great Ride! - 2006 Honda Civic

We love our new Honda! -- From the incredible interior, to the futuristic styling of the exterior, this car is great. Our first road trip we loaded up our two kids and headed from Greenville, SC to Philadelphia PA! -- We used a whopping 4 tanks of gas (this would have been one way in our old wagon) and had plenty of room for our luggage, kids, junk, etc. This car is more spacious and comfortable than previous hondas. The Navigation system is awesome...we ran into traffic in DC, chose "Avoid Route" and drove right around a 2 hour delay -- and lost no time at all! What a great RIDE!

  • Just a work car - 2008 Honda Civic

I bought this coupe(A/T LX) for my drive to work (130 miles round trip ). Im always running late and drive an average of close to 80-90 mph in the morning and around 75 on the way home. Checked my mileage this evening for the first time and found it to be slightly above 30 mpg. I had to learn to not overdrive the steering wheel, because this thing changes direction quickly. I love it.
