Model Overview:

Since its launch in 1973, the Honda Civic has been one of the most popular compact cars sold in America. Its success can be attributed in large part to its consistently high level of quality inside and out and its long-standing reputation for reliability and low running costs. Impressive fuel economy and engaging performance have also played a role in making the Civic a top choice for many Americans.

The competition has largely caught up with Honda, though, and there are now many excellent small cars vying for your attention. Still, we continue to recommend the Civic due to its ergonomic interior layout, wide range of models and high resale value. For small-car shoppers in search of a solid used vehicle, the Honda Civic is certainly a smart choice, as its long production run and many variants make it easy to find what you want.

Love the car: comfortable, big for a "small" car, good gas mileage (37 mpg combined), smooth riding. One big worry: navigation system has problems - either get stuck in a "searching" mode or it shows the car completely off the road. Wondering if anybody else has a similar issue - resetting the system didnt fix anything.

The 04 civic is a basic Quality small sized car. Nothing dramatic about it, but fairly dependable. medium quiet ride. Good on gas!!!

If only sliced bread could be so advanced. The car knows what to do and when to do it. My last fill up I got 50.86 MPG. From the begining I got a min. of 45MPG to 48 MPG depending on weather, road conditions. I drive a combination of roads and speeds. My morning commute is 42 miles of highway which is either moving 70-80 or total stop and go. During the day its city and short hwy exposure. I still get great mileage.

My 2002 honda civic has endured my harsh driving with very few repairs. I drive over 35,000 miles per year and usually try to get places as quickly as possible. I have only performed routine maintenance on my car with the exception of wheel bearings on the front. I would definitely recommend this car to anyone!

Bouncy ride. Weak performance. Gas mileage not up to par. Seat material cheap. Has strange steering feel and handling. Our new car delivered with one door a different shade of silver..not immediately noticed, and not a repaint. Waiting for factory determination. Huge scratch on rear window..glass to be replaced free of charge. Where is the quality, and the ride and drive?

I have only owned my Civic Hybrid for abaout a week. I am very impressed with the comfort and the ride that it gives for a compact car. The drive is smooth and the interior room is quite surprising. The layout of the instrument panel is effortless when driving. The stereo/sound system is above average. The visual appeal of the car is very pleasing...it is simply fun to drive! I have been extremely impressed with the mileage so far...averaging 45.25 mpg on my first tank and I anticipate this to go up as the engine is broken-in. I am in my care on average of about 3-4 hours a day. I couldnt be more pleased.

I just bought my Rallye Red EX Coupe today. I LOVE it. Awesome handling, great pickup for four cylinder, awesome stereo system, feels solid and secure. I know many complain about the handbrake, but Im 510 and it doesnt bother me at all really.

Excellent ride and handling. Very good acceleration. Rear seating OK for kids, but cramped for adults.

  • Best car weve ever owned... - 2005 Honda Civic

We brought this car for a number of reasons, all of which are on the Lefty side of the political spectrum. We are not disappointed. I drive this car 56 miles every day to and from work, most of it is highway with a ten mile jaunt through a small semi-rural town. In the summer I was getting 42 mpg while in the winter it fell all the way down 31 mpg. You will find that the cars engine will not shutdown at stops when it is cold out which can be a bit of a problem up here in Minneasota. Further, when you have the defrost on the econ system, which makes the car shutdown at stops, deactivates. All in all Im overjoyed with this cars performance on the winter roads, it handled like a dream!

The new body style and more powerful engine make this Civic the most fun car I have owned in years. Steering and suspension are nice and tight, the car has the feel of a much more expensive European coupe. Honda has defenitly raised the bar with the 2006 SI.
