Model Overview:

Since its launch in 1973, the Honda Civic has been one of the most popular compact cars sold in America. Its success can be attributed in large part to its consistently high level of quality inside and out and its long-standing reputation for reliability and low running costs. Impressive fuel economy and engaging performance have also played a role in making the Civic a top choice for many Americans.

The competition has largely caught up with Honda, though, and there are now many excellent small cars vying for your attention. Still, we continue to recommend the Civic due to its ergonomic interior layout, wide range of models and high resale value. For small-car shoppers in search of a solid used vehicle, the Honda Civic is certainly a smart choice, as its long production run and many variants make it easy to find what you want.

Sporty, long trips comfortable, great mileage, needs more power for passing and entering highway, what is the little window for???? Tire noise, have to change tires.

I purchased this vehicle due to ever rising fuel prices and I just dont like handing my hard earned money over to the middle east. So far I am extremely satisfied with the perfomance and fuel economy of this hybrid. It rides pretty good for a smaller vehicle and handles very nice. I dont know if I will come out ahead of the fiel costs due to having to replace the main battery in 8 years or so but having the peace of mind that my money will go into the vehicle battery instead of polluting the environment satisfies me. I also have peace of mind that I am in a very safe vehicle every time I get behind the wheel too. Overall I feel that this is one of the best new vehicles that I purchased.

i am very impressed with my civic coupes style, performance and sporty feel. however, due to the roof design, there are significant "blind-spots" in the rear/sides of the car and after three months of driving, i still have no idea where the front bumper is exactly as the slope of the hood drops off... but the good news: excellent front seating that hugs your back. no fatigue on long trips! simple, smart dash controls and layout. very quick and responsive. beautifully designed exterior. large trunk with fold down rear seats. its an awesome car for the size and money. glad i purchased. highly recommend the civic coupe lx.

  • Great Car - 2008 Honda Civic

This is a great car. There is nothing to it. Great gas mileage, comfortable, nice interior and exterior, and I love the features, especially the navigation system. Although the windshield wipers dont work well dry, the only other complaint I have is the lack of heated seats.

I thought this was my dream car. Traded in a 2001 Nissan Altima. (Miss it) I bought this car on Monday and its been in the shop since Wednesday. Car broke down on my way to work, once I got it started again, engine light came on, took it to dealership and they couldnt duplicate problem. Broke down again the next day, on my way to work, car still in shop. They state it wont be fixed until Monday or Tuesday, have to install a a whole new assembly? Refuse to give me money back, no offer of another car to made good on bad Civic. First new car in 20 years and thought Honda was the best. The exterior is awesome, love the dash. Cant comment on mpg, havent drove it or had it long enough to know

  • A fun to drive compact sedan - 2007 Honda Civic

The Civic Si is a well-rounded economy sedan with some great performance features...a 4-door S2000 it clearly is not, but you can easily see the design influences throughout the car. Ergonomics are fantastic for a car in this class...the steering is very good, shifter is better than 90% of all sporty cars out there, and handling is better than I expected. Seats take some getting used to...I almost yanked mine and installed Recaros during the first week of ownership...but got used to them after a 1600 mile drive. Overall, I am very pleased with the car.

  • Excellent Car - 2004 Honda Civic

I have had my mt hybrid just about one year and I am highly satisfied. Over the 30K I have driven it, I am averaging 51.4 and have had tanks at 56 or more several times. I never have problems with acceleration as I keep an eye on the battery gauge and love trying to make one tank of gas exceed the next. I strongly recommend changing the air filter even before recommended interval, as a modestly dirty filter will drag down mpg by 10 percent.

  • 2008 Civic Gas Mileage - 2008 Honda Civic
    By -

My 2008 Civic LX has 18K miles on it. Wintertime gas mileage around town is about 34, summertime 36-37. Today I filled up full and got 40.1 mpg with all around-town driving. With highway driving, using the cruise control and making sure that RPMs dont exceed 2,000 (so about 60 mph)I can regularly get 47+ mpg. If I increase speed to 65 mph, mileage drops to about 42 mpg, so I lose about 1 mpg for each mph over 60 mph I drive. Im glad I didnt spend the extra money for a hybrid. This car is a gem.
