Model Overview:

Since its launch in 1973, the Honda Civic has been one of the most popular compact cars sold in America. Its success can be attributed in large part to its consistently high level of quality inside and out and its long-standing reputation for reliability and low running costs. Impressive fuel economy and engaging performance have also played a role in making the Civic a top choice for many Americans.

The competition has largely caught up with Honda, though, and there are now many excellent small cars vying for your attention. Still, we continue to recommend the Civic due to its ergonomic interior layout, wide range of models and high resale value. For small-car shoppers in search of a solid used vehicle, the Honda Civic is certainly a smart choice, as its long production run and many variants make it easy to find what you want.

So far I have had 3 Sis. A 1992, 1993 and 2002. I love the feel and styling of the 02 hatch Si. Great car as usual. Thanks Honda for doing what American car manufaturers have failed to do.

On my first long distance trip, an impressive 40.5 MPG, and it cruises quietly and comfortably at 75 mph on only 2400 RPM. Honda got the perfect formula for a small car. I was considering bigger cars, but end up with the Civic for the mileage and absolutely happy with the choice. Its as quiet as the mid-size car with the near hybrid milage performance and Honda reliability. You cant go wrong buy this car...Love it

This is my second civic, being the previous a 2001 which served me well and never gave trouble. The change is dramatic. This generation is a bit upscale. Some features in security, the performance and the building quality are better that ANYTHING on the market for the same price. Handling feels better, even though I still miss the handling of the models previous to the 2001 when the fron suspension was redisigned. The only awkward thing found so far is the location of the parking brake release, which I was not very comfortable when the cruise control is activated. It comes with "extras" not advertised like the automatic lock of doors after 9 mph and the CD player that works great with wmas

After purchasing this vehicle I drove it from the Calif central coast to Oregon and the Seattle Washington area and back to Calif. The car drove effortlessly thruought the trip giving me and average of 39 mpg in open road and city driving. The car was comfortable and has enought power to cruise at ease. Im very satisfied with the overall performance of this car and would not hesitate in purchasing it again. The only problem is that there can be excessive road noise when driving on certain asphalt (worn/marbled) surfaces.

I bought my black si after my white 96 aAccord sedan was stolen and totaled (I love ya RIP). The car looks like a spaceship inside and out. The interior layout is real cool and has lots of convenience and comfort features. The seats really hug you. The mp3 sound system with sub is a nice touch. The car has good acceleration & quick handling. The engine sounds great. Buy driving gloves & get the windows tinted. The shifter burns your hand when hot & freezes it when cold. I get the same rattles as other folks but its not that bad. Its due to the stiff suspension. What do you expect? The interior is a lil bit delicate but I think folks trip out b/c black makes scuffs more noticable.

  • First New Car In Ten Years - 2006 Honda Civic

I love this car! The last time I bought a car was ten years ago. My family has always bought Ford vehicles so I initially looked there but was not impressed. I researched and test drove vehicles over two months before I decided on this fantastic car. Great ride. Excellent gas mileage. Convenient dash controls. It looks sleek. It is suprisingly spunky for a little car!! Love all the standard safety features.

Good car for the money...but still need to work out a few kinks

  • Civic in the Sun - 2001 Honda Civic

Great commuter car, not for a long trip. Quality has not been what I expect from Honda (Interior molding loose, drivers side light switch failure, very easily dented by parking lot mishaps). Seat adjustment limited.

  • I LOVED my Honda - 1995 Honda Civic

I loved my Civic since day one. Only thing Ive had to replace within the year and a half that I have had it was the CV shaft. Nothing expensive, and easy to fix on your own. Dont put money into this car though. Its most likely gonna get stolen sooner or later, and you cant expect anything from insurance. So if you have a Honda, park it in your garage, even if you have a "nice" neighborhood.

I have owned this car for 3 years I honestly can say its one of the best cars I have ever owned. I have 89,000 miles on it, never once have had any major issues. Aside from a few minor repairs from wear and tear, nothing major has happened to it. I must say that Im very pleased with the outcome of this car.
