  • The Price makes it great! - 2007 Honda Civic

I have owned my civic for 10 months, it has been very, very good to me. It has the typical 3rd gear issue, but if you go to the dealership with this (08-020) Service bulletin they will fix it free of charge. I average about 28 mpg in NYC which is great. In Ohio i was getting closer to 40 mpg on the highway. The MPG is better then my co-workers smart car, and it is much better looking as well. It has terrible blind spots, and the factory head lights are terrible. The stock radio is "ok" and replacing it is a nightmare. But for a stock car at the 20 grand mark. There is nothing more fun, or better to drive. It can use some more torque.

I put a lot of miles on any car and purchased soley on the gas mileage. Traded in my Element which now I wish I still had. After driving the Civic for 9 months now, I am not so thrilled. Gas mileage average 38-42 mph, but the car is not comfortable at all. The seats are hard and very limited adjustments to try and make them comfortable. No cup holders in back or arm rest in back. What was Honda thinking. Basically, I feel this is a way overpriced commuting machine. Not kid friendly, not long trip friendly. Honda also falls short in the "fun to drive" catagory. Corners horrribly, tire squeal. Listen, I dont drive like Mario Andretti. I was suprised at the poor handling.

  • I love this car - 2007 Honda Civic

This car has a little bit of everything - looks, style, sportiness, power, comfort, electronic goodies, reliability and fuel economy all for about $20k. Looks very sporty. Initial pickup is a bit sluggish, but beyond about 3000-3500 rpm, it will surprise you with its power punch (torque). More than adequate power for most driving situations. Very nice and user-friendly nav system, more than decent audio system. I was quite a bit disappointed with the mileage (actual: ~26-27 mpg with 50/50 city/hwy) as opposed to the stated 29/35, but it could be because i like to step on the gas pedal a lot. Overall, still very good value. This car was made for teenagers/young adults. Go test drive it !

  • SINCERE, HONEST REVIEW - 2007 Honda Civic

This car is fun to drive, has a lot of sex appeal, and gets good gas milage (about 30 mpg) Quiet engine, and driving experiance. You might feel tiny at a light sitting next to a Ford F150. This was a step down for me. I owned a loaded 02 Impala LS since new. So, I added almost all assesories except front and side spoliers.I miss Traction control,Lumbar support, ONSTAR, heated seats, ashtray, lighter, heated side mirrors, but this car rides better, handles better, better fuel milage, the differance in horse power is not that notice able from a 200HP v- 6 to a 140HP DOHC 4. the Civic is surely peppy, and fun to punch the throttle open. One of my concerns will be this winter in the snow, and ice. Well see

  • Good little car - 2007 Honda Civic

Good car fun to drive love it and love the looks I get in it. Im 23 years old first car I have bought, not gonna mod it out. But have replaced intake with Injen Cold air intake and put in my own diamond mesh grill. Good car would recommend for anyone. Only problem is there needs to be more power, other cars in its class have more power, cobalt SS turbo is around 260 hp, and lancer ralliart is around 237 hp. only car it really beats out in its class is the Nissan Sentra R. Sound system is good but subwoofer and interior is great but it attracts lint like no other.

  • Bad Fuel Economy - 2007 Honda Civic

Car drives and runs great. Good handling. The only issue I have is with the fuel economy. No matter how I drive I only get between 25-29 MPG now. This is not even near the 30-40 MPG sticker amounts. I was getting 33 MPG when I bought the car.

This is probably the best car I have ever purchased. Excellent fuel economy (42 mpg), extremely fun to drive, all kinds of airbags make a safe car and the quality and engine are outstanding. Im sold on the Civic and on Honda.

  • Best mileage, fun car! - 2007 Honda Civic

I love this little car! It has as much room as my 96 Camry did. I can fit my 10 speed bike in the back with the seat down. It was a good buy pricewise too. I am planning to put 300,000 plus miles on it.

  • Dont Trust the Mileage - 2007 Honda Civic
    By -

Dont buy this car for the gas mileage. My car is getting 19 MPG 50% Highway 50% City driving. Dealership says not their problem, Honda of America says not their problem either even if the actual mileage is half the estimate it is not their problem. Extreme glare from the dash on the windshield. IF you buy this car you better be lucky, some get 35 MPG some get 19 MPG and if your one of the lucky ones to only get 19 Honda doesnt think there is any problem. I owned a 2003 KIA Rio Cinco before this and it got better gas mileage then this car, cost $10,000 brand new and was only rated at 25 city 32 highe .. and it got better. Do NOT buy this car for the mileage you will be sorry

  • Great car so far. - 2007 Honda Civic
    By -

I bought the car 2 days ago,I own a rsx- s as well, which is also a great car, but i needed a car with good fuel economy since i drive 140 mi. round trip to work most days. I like leather but the cloth seats are so comfortable i could fall asleep. the clutch works great and it shifts smooth as well. I am used to a short throw transmission, but the EX is fine. The drive by wire throttle system takes some getting used to, i am not used to the rpms "hanging" while i shift, but you get used to it. so far Im at 220 mi, and i still have half a tank! Im 63 and its hard for me to see the speedo because my hand is in the way, so i adjusted the steering wheel lower.
