Since its launch in 1973, the Honda Civic has been one of the most popular compact cars sold in America. Its success can be attributed in large part to its consistently high level of quality inside and out and its long-standing reputation for reliability and low running costs. The competition has largely caught up with Honda, though, and there are now many excellent small cars vying for your attention. Still, we continue to recommend the Civic due to its ergonomic interior layout, wide range of models and high resale value.   As reliable as they come - 2003 Honda Civic

  Have owned my Civic for over 3 years. Never had a single problem with it. I was rear ended a couple times for minor damages. The rear bumper is sturdy and does its job well. Gas mileage is good averaging about 28 mpg. Car is extremely responsive to weight change, you will definitely feel a change in how the car handles with extra weight on-board. Sound system is slightly above average.

  This car always been there for me. For a full tank of gas could get me to far away places and never did complain. Except for a change of struts It never stayed in repair shop too long. And now that Im passing this car to a friend, I feel like Im losing a friend.

  Green, less green($) and just a cool car - 2003 Honda Civic

  Ive had my Civic Hybrid CVT for 3 months now and have had no problems, lots of questions from others and now I dont think as much about my new found driving habits. The car makes you want to drive better (and slower too) so you can improve your mileage.

  Overall Happiness - 2006 Honda Civic

  Overall, I am very pleased. I was afraid it would not be roomy enough, but I was pleasantly surprised! Much more room than I thought. Only negative thing is you cannot see the front of your car. Makes it hard to pull into garage , but I will adjust! Many more positives! The reputation of HONDA, also is a great plus ~ the maintenance of the vehicle is easy also! Plan on keeping it for many years!!

  I wanted a vehicle I could move some band equipment around in but still be sporty and great on gas...SI is fantastic! Very quick, suspension is sporty, steering is tight and leaves you feeling like you are driving a race car not an economy car. My only complaints are it is a little high priced for other vehicles in its class and the Honda Factory Performance kit is very cool but way overpriced...

  A good buy - 1997 Honda Civic

  I bought this car late 2000 as my first car. It had about 69,000 miles and I have since run that up to almost 127,000. The cost of planned maintenance is low, tires are inexpensive, and oil changes at 4,000 mile intervals dont seem to matter. I have only had two unplanned maintenance issues: the ignition coil failed and the car shutdown. This was due to old spark plugs that I had not changed at the needed interval (my fault). Second, a CV joint cracked, although this was probably from normal wear and tear. Bottom line, very few unplanned issues over a LONG life :). Good reliabilty! The car (127 hp, auto trans) is not fast, but it handles well.

  Dont buy if you live in cold climate. - 2005 Honda Civic

  Everything is great about this car, except the climate control. I love the car, but the "heat" and a/c are very lame. It gets great gas mileage and easily holds 75 mph on the interstate. Fortunately not too much has gone wrong.

  The Hybrid With Style! - 2007 Honda Civic

  I have about 5000 miles on my Civic hybrid already and I am averaging 55MPG according to my calculations, and 53MPG according to the on board computer. I drive mainly highway miles with a little city. Car is grear, fun to drive, and handles great, and being able to drive 600 miles on one tank is awesome. Much better handling than the Prius, although I think it has a little better pick-up.

  Great car, Great price - 2007 Honda Civic

  I purchased this car 4 days ago and really love it. It has a sporty look and feel to it. Car handles well. Note: I did get Goodyear tires on mine. Depending on the location where you buy, you might get Bridgestone. Dont know if this makes a difference, but someone else was complaining about the Bridgestone tires. I drive 100 miles per day. This car gets more and more comfortable the more you drive it once you find your spot.
