It isnt the quickest vehicle on the road, but it is fun to drive, easy to maintain and is definitely worthy of the "best selling compact" title. This is my third Honda and I have no doubt that it will hold true to the quality and reliability of its predecessors.

My first Civic purchase and Im enjoying it. The ride and handling are far better than the Lx, Ex line and the interior is as attractive/comfortable as youll find in a twenty thousand or less car.

  • The One Year Review of the Civic Hybrid - 2003 Honda Civic

Ive owned my hybrid for just over a year now. With the honeymoon phase over, I still enjoy my hybrid. Ive not had a single problem with it. Ive averaged almost 53 mpg (calc). After 8K, the mpgs jumped some, so hang in there, folks. I have very similar feelings about the car as others, so Id just like to add that this is an economy car. Dont expect leather, GPS units, entertainment packages, power seats, etc, etc. I do think it has a nice array of features, though, and ones that youll use the most. Also, remember that Honda doesnt have anything to do with the EPA estimates-- although they do promote them in their ads.

Ive had my 2003 Honda Civic since November 2002. The pick up isnt as fast as I expected from a vtec engine. Its an attractive car and in general is the car is overall a good package. The price is good and the car is very reliable

A Honda Civic is a good economic car for a student. It has good gas mileage and I have not had any problems with it besides the crappy Firestone tires that came with it.

I am happy with the vehicle. But, when I was exploring which one of my cars to sell, I was extremely disappointed in the resale value.

While the engine and gas mileage are good on this car the rest of it is not up to typical Honda standards. Right after purchasing it the trunk was leaking due to a seam that wasnt welded properly. The little bit of metal that is used on the body is cheap- dents very easily. Had light bulbs burn out in less than a year. Original tires are cheap-had to replace after 2 years and thats with snow tires on at least 5 month/yr. At not quite 3 years old new shocks and brakes. Oh and my favorite the turn signal/4 way relay switch I believe its called just died for no reason-replaced at my expensive of course. And now the cd player decided to stop working. It loads and ejects w/o a cd in it.

a great car in all aspects.gives excellent fuel mileage and superb handling.nice interiors and styling. gives you value for money.

  • Transmission - 2003 Honda Civic

Make sure to check transmission every 25,000 miles. Mine went out at 140,000 Mi. Honda doesnt stock them one week to a month to get a replacement. They do not rebuild CVT transmissions, $3,000.00 to replace and $375.00 shipping. Front struts also go out easily.

Finally the hatch is back, with the added convinience of a beefy engine powerplant. This car likes to be reved up and kept up there, afterall thats when it all comes to live. Hit 5000rpm and the beauty of Hondas i-VTEC propels you to the end of the rpm red line. Nice little car, but a bit pricey for what it is, no wonder people opt to pay a couple of thou more and get the Acura RSX.
