Model Overview:

Since its launch in 1973, the Honda Civic has been one of the most popular compact cars sold in America. Its success can be attributed in large part to its consistently high level of quality inside and out and its long-standing reputation for reliability and low running costs. Impressive fuel economy and engaging performance have also played a role in making the Civic a top choice for many Americans.

The competition has largely caught up with Honda, though, and there are now many excellent small cars vying for your attention. Still, we continue to recommend the Civic due to its ergonomic interior layout, wide range of models and high resale value. For small-car shoppers in search of a solid used vehicle, the Honda Civic is certainly a smart choice, as its long production run and many variants make it easy to find what you want.

Car so far has been pretty awesome. Vehicle drives smoothly and I receive many compliments. I have to say overall I am very satisfied with the car. It has hot heat and cold a/c. Test drove many other cars for many months and feel in love with this one. Really love the placement on the digital speedometer. Has a pretty decent sounds system, get about 37 mpg on the highway and 23 in the city.

So this is my third civic. 1st one i totaled 2nd one was a 2004 civic sedan and now the 08 EX-L coupe. Love the leather. Love the handling. I have a lead foot and this car just flows with me around the turns. For example, theres a turn thats legally supposed to be taken 35 but this car goes 60 on it easily without even a skid of the tires. Hugs the road perfectly, great suspension. Fun to drive. If your like me and love just letting it all loose on the road and having a great time. this civic is for you. The leather trim steering wheel.seats, seat warmers and great interior doesnt hurt either.

This car once again proved its reliability. I have over 140000 miles on my car and i havent any problems beside tires, brakes and shocks (depends on where you live). Only con about this car is the hp.

  • My 3rd Honda Civic - 2001 Honda Civic

I first had a 93 Civic coupe that lasted me 8 long years, then an 04 Civic hybrid, and now I bought this one in March 07. I bought it used with 72K miles on it, and I now have about 84K. When I bought it, I put new tires on it, new alignment, new water pump, and new timing belt. It has run perfectly the entire time Ive had it.

  • The Si isnt as good as I expected. - 2006 Honda Civic

When I bought the car I loved it. It was much better than the 1991 Si it replaced. Sadly my Si was plagued by many rattles and the dealer never could seem to duplicate them. Rattles seem to be a common problem with the 06 Civics. The car handles great, and makes good power from 6 - 8k. You have to work the 6 speed transmission when youre in traffic to keep the car in its power band. The 7 speaker stereo is the best Ive seen in a stock car. The Si is a good compromise between performance and economy.

  • Fun/practical the perfect mix - 2009 Honda Civic

Ive had my Si sedan for only a week, but I can tell you that this a special car. The suspension is both compliant and firm, brakes are excellent, steering is quick and precise, clutch and drive-train are easy and smooth in stop and go traffic or in spirited driving. Mid-RPM range power delivery is good and it keeps getting better as you pass 5000 rpm. The engine is marvelous.

  • Great Buy - 2005 Honda Civic

Ive owned my Honda Civic VP for 2 1/2 years and have to say it is great on gas, comfortable (Im 275) and needs nothing...ever. I get around 450 miles before I fill up and it takes about 12.5 gallons each time, so gas is brilliant. The seats are wide enough for my back and shoulders when almost nothing this size seems to be. I think the car drives as good as the day I bought it and could easily do 200,000 miles. I bought it for $13,400 and its worth #10,500 2 1/2 years later? Unbelievable resale value. I just wish I bought the four door not the two door, but the manual is zippy not like the automatic.

  • Better than expected - 2006 Honda Civic

After driving off the lot, stopped at the first stop sign and the car died. Then I realized (ding!) thats reality- the gas engine is off! I am so impressed that the technology is real. Gets an easy 45mpg without effort in city, max city/hwy after a week is 48. Car is quiet- comfortable, great stereo (hydrid has 6 speakers) and seats dont look cheap. doors are so light you have to remember not to slam them. Convenience of cruise and stereo controls on steering lets you keep eyes on the road. This car looks great from the outside but impressive looks within dont stop. Wife just bought a Scion TC a few months ago, now wants to trade it in as her 28mpg is now not good enough.
