  • Si Sedan or bust! - 2007 Honda Civic

Ive owned Lexus, BMW, Toyota as well as various other cars. Thus far my 2007 Honda Si sedan has been the best purchase Ive made. This car seems to keep on surprising me. Its fun to drive and has remarkable accelleration. Its just plain fun to drive as well as beening a serious eye catcher. All this for around $20k? Who in their right mind wouldnt want it? This car simply rocks!

I originally posted a review in September just after I bought the car. I figured since Ive been driving it for 7 months and 15,000 miles Id post an update. I appreciate this car more each day! Ive been averaging a shade under 51 mpg over the 15,000 miles. Interstate MPGs (75mph variety) drop the car to about 45 mpg so I stopped taking it. I live about 50 miles from my job and it takes me about an hour to get there. Very comfortable car with lots of head room and shoulder room. This car far exceeded my expectations.

Seats are uncomfortable, but other than that, love the vehicle, gets a combined city/hwy MPG of about 32, which isnt bad.

  • Not what I would expect from Honda - 2007 Honda Civic

I bought my Civic Coupe hoping for a car with great fuel economy, reliability, and a good Honda design. The car handles very well, however, I am very disappointed with the quality of the interior cosmetic items. After 2 months the drivers side sun visor broke, then the passenger side visor broke soon after that. Just last month I noticed the drivers side interior pull handle plastic strip was loose. I brought it in to have the panel replaced, went home, and the whole plate came off. I would expect more from Honda. If you have this model, make sure you use your sun visors because I understand many others are having the same problem. The gas mileage for city driving is only 23 mpg.

I have about 5000 miles on my Civic hybrid already and I am averaging 55MPG according to my calculations, and 53MPG according to the on board computer. I drive mainly highway miles with a little city. Car is grear, fun to drive, and handles great, and being able to drive 600 miles on one tank is awesome. Much better handling than the Prius, although I think it has a little better pick-up.

  • Great car, Great price - 2007 Honda Civic

I purchased this car 4 days ago and really love it. It has a sporty look and feel to it. Car handles well. Note: I did get Goodyear tires on mine. Depending on the location where you buy, you might get Bridgestone. Dont know if this makes a difference, but someone else was complaining about the Bridgestone tires. I drive 100 miles per day. This car gets more and more comfortable the more you drive it once you find your spot.

  • Honda wins me back - 2007 Honda Civic

After a wonderful ride with a Mazda Protege -- which I thought beat the pants off the old Civic -- I came back to Honda after looking at the latest iteration. The combination of gas mileage and reliability and the design of the new Civic are hard to beat. Despite my great experience with the Protege, I picked this in a close call over a Mazda 3. You couldnt go wrong with either one -- they are clearly the class of this field for styling, fit and finish, economy and value.

After purchasing this vehicle I drove it from the Calif central coast to Oregon and the Seattle Washington area and back to Calif. The car drove effortlessly thruought the trip giving me and average of 39 mpg in open road and city driving. The car was comfortable and has enought power to cruise at ease. Im very satisfied with the overall performance of this car and would not hesitate in purchasing it again. The only problem is that there can be excessive road noise when driving on certain asphalt (worn/marbled) surfaces.

  • Improve engine and road noise, then A+ - 2007 Honda Civic

Very good handling with ample power. My grade-school boys refer to it as their "Hot Wheels" and love riding in it... quite zippy and fun to drive. The sensitive drive-by-wire accelerator takes getting used to (jerky, hard to launch gradually and smoothly); the automatic transmission feels intrusive or hesitant at times. My only major gripe is the road/tire and engine noise; Honda should add some more sound insulation and it would be the PERFECT choice in this category. Otherwise, its an excellent value and Im very pleased with it overall!

I got an LX Sedan (didnt want the sunroof on the EX) and LOVE the car. Plenty of room for all my friends, well, 4 of them anyway. Car is very comfortable and the gas mileage is fantastic. The only thing I wish was better is the AC. I live in Phoenix and it takes a little while for the AC to overcome some of the 115* days we have. Once it gets going, or on cooler days, it works perfect. Overall I love the car and would highly recommend it to anyone.
