  • Great choice! - 2007 Honda Civic

Get in this car and drive it like any other car. You only notice its a hybrid when you check out the mpg --- 45! As fun to drive as much more expensive cars.

  • Perfect Commuter Car - 2007 Honda Civic

I bought this as a 2nd car solely for commuting. I like it so much I now drive it as my main car. Although slightly underpowered, you never feel worried about your ability to enter freeways or pass. The auto is very quick to find the gear you need. I average 33-35 mpg in mixed driving. The turning circle is very good, which makes parking and maneuvering in the city a snap. Seats are very comfortable. Navigation is better than Jaguar & BMW. Very useful when detouring traffic jams or finding city addresses.

  • Love, love, love this car! - 2007 Honda Civic

I replaced my 1999 Civic coupe with this car in May as a little college graduation gift to myself. The more I drive it, the more I love it. Everything about this Civic improved over the one I drove before. The most notable things are the vastly more supportive seats, the odd speedometer that I have come to appreciate and the butter-smooth clutch, which only my boyfriend has managed to stall (and he drives a truck with a stick). Its got more than adequate highway cruising and passing power (though I would have liked to have been able to afford an Si) and a smooth, though somewhat noisy, ride. It handles great in heavy rain. I have not had the pleasure of driving it in snow yet.

I have recently purchased my Civic not too long ago, and so far it has been great, but it can be better. It looks great inside and out. Though it would be better inside if they used better quality plastics and made it more solid. Performance-wise, it delivers! Very zippy around urban streets and easy to maneuver in parking lots. The Vtec engine provides ample power smoothly. However, I am not getting good mileage in a car that is rated to do a around the mid 30 mpg range. In normal driving (with little heater/AC, non aggressive driving) I am getting a little less than 20 mpg. No repairs was done or needed, and the only real gripe is a bunch of rattling noises coming from the interior. Great car!

  • Perfect for me - 2007 Honda Civic

I needed a vehicle with great gas mileage, yet big enough to hold luggage, two keyboards, stands, an amp, a large box of equipment, a large dog crate and a bicycle. I can fit all of this and more into my little Civic Hybrid. While shopping I actually had salespeople attempt to load my music equipment into a Prius but it would not fit. This little Civic is a joy to drive, looks great, is quiet and comfy and has all of the safety features I have come to love and trust about Hondas. I get anywhere between 43 to 57 miles per gallon, and find this to be a zippy little machine. I previously drove a Chevy Malibu and loved it, but for the savings in gas the Civic wins the day. Sweet little car!

  • 2007 honda civic EX a/c failure - 2007 Honda Civic
    By -

Bought in Feb of 2007. I am now faced with a failed a/c. Since Ive had the car, the a/c button when engaged emitted a clunking noise. when the car would idle, it sounded like a fan was rattling. I took it in for servicing. I was told that the drive belt needed to be adjusted (?), the car was still making the noise. Now about 8 months later, my a/c will not blow cold air nor will the compressor or clutch engage.I was told that something must have punctured my compressor and the freon has leaked out and neither Honda or my extended warranty will cover the damage because it is considered a road hazard and my fault. Honda will not fix my car. I will never by another.I am prepared to fight this

  • MPG not as good as they say!!! - 2007 Honda Civic
    By -

I leased my 2007 Honda Civic almost one year ago and I am very disappointed with the MPG on this car. I am averaging about 20 and that to me is ridiculous. I bought this car because of the great fuel efficiency it was supposed to have and it has not met my expectations. I was told that it would average around 28 city and highway combined. I have not seen 24 or higher yet. Of course they told me that the engine needs to be worked in and then I will get better gas mileage but after 6000 miles I have seen anything yet. I also saw someone else on a discussion board say they recommend 10-15k before you see better gas mileage. My lease will be up before then. I am very disappointed in Honda.

  • Mileage as advertised - 2007 Honda Civic
    By -

I was skeptical of the mileage, but I was getting approximately 40 mpg in the coldest part of the winter and 42 mpg when the temps were in the 40s. Recently the temps were in the 50s - 70s, and Ive been getting 49 mpg. The Civic is my commuter vehicle and I drive 42 miles to work and back each day on country (45 mph) and highway (65 mph). Im in Ohio so its generally flat. I also do not accelerate rapidly.

  • Impressed - 2007 Honda Civic

Leased for my commute to work, but found that this car is a good weekend car as well for every day tasks. Happy about the comfort, looks, reliability, and handling. Disappointed with the performance, the clutch, and lack of a 6th gear for cruising. My gas mileage has suffered because when driving above 65 mph on my commute, the small 1.8L, 4 cyl engine is working extra hard with the rpms at 3800-4000; which is why a 6th gear is needed. The clutch needs improvement and I know I cant expect much from 140 HP, and 128 ft-lbs of TQ, a few more ponies should be added. Interior dash is eye catching, and the mp3 capability is welcomed. A/C vents need to be moved. Get rid of hubcaps please!

  • Great Car - 2007 Honda Civic

This is a very good car. After having tested several other vehicles, I decided upon this car as many have told me that it is reliable. I commuter about 100 miles a day, and I average close to 35MPG. The interior design is nice, yet I feel it is a bit extreme. Seat comfort is good and I have no problems driving for more than an hour. My wife took this car to work one day and she loved it. It must be great considering that she drives a Mercedes E320. Once gas prices go back down, I am planning to buy a Mercedes ML 320. I used to have one, but the gas bill was excessive.
