Model Overview:

Since its launch in 1973, the Honda Civic has been one of the most popular compact cars sold in America. Its success can be attributed in large part to its consistently high level of quality inside and out and its long-standing reputation for reliability and low running costs. Impressive fuel economy and engaging performance have also played a role in making the Civic a top choice for many Americans.

The competition has largely caught up with Honda, though, and there are now many excellent small cars vying for your attention. Still, we continue to recommend the Civic due to its ergonomic interior layout, wide range of models and high resale value. For small-car shoppers in search of a solid used vehicle, the Honda Civic is certainly a smart choice, as its long production run and many variants make it easy to find what you want.

  • Car for the me - 2009 Honda Civic

I love the new LX-S version. It has the seats of an Si, and the leather wrapped steering wheel that you have to get an EX to get. I would suggest this car for anyone that has a little sporty nature, but wants to keep the gas tank full. Remember, its no V8, it is however a peppy I4 thats why I gave it the 9 on performance. The Brakes are also impressive. There are also little things that I like too. An auxiliary jack for my iPod, good cup holders, tilt/telescopic wheel, and the cool speedometer.

The manual transmission on this is easy and fun to drive. Great gas mileage, and comes with a lot of features for an LX. The only thing Im not used to having from the accord is the remote trunk release and volume controls. Other than that, Im pleased with the 08 civic coupe. Rides smooth, and has a nice dash design.

Great little car that makes me feel like Im making a statement to the US car manufacturers. Why dont we all drive cars that enable us to reduce our dependency on imported oil? Why car Japanese companies make them and American companies cant? Maybe they like the oil companies...?

I am just a little disappointed in the MPG as my Civic Hybrid is only averaging about 40.9 (calculated). I purchase the car new in 06/2002 and now have 33,400 miles on the car. The overall quality is wonderful, the design is nice and the interior is great too.

I went from a Yukon Denali to a Honda Civic as my main vehicle with no problem. I was hooked on a Honda once I drove my friends Accord several times. It felt heavy and handled the road well even though it had over 125,000 miles. I am very pleased with my purchase of a Honda Civic.

  • Honda All the Way - 2004 Honda Civic

I have owned my 04 EX 4 door for four years now and I cant say enough about the kind of car Honda builds. All I have done is regular maintenance and tires. Averaging 32 mpg and the car is still worth $10K on trade. What a car, my wife has a C-RV and my next car will be an Accord. HONDA ALL THE WAY!!!

The Honda Civic EX COupe is one of the most reliable, fun to drive, and good looking cars around for the money. The automatic has a good amount of pick up, but the 5-speed is highly recommended for you driving pleasure. The driver side has an armrest which is nice for long commutes. Finally, this is a perfect car for college kids. I was able to fit an entire one-bedroom apartment from ikea in the trunk with ease thanks to the 60/40 split rear seats. FOr a sportier look, add a spoiler. :)

  • Turned me into a Believer - 2006 Honda Civic

All I can say is wow! The transmission is quite possibly the smoothest Ive ever had the pleasure of shifting. Gas mileage has lived up to its name. The worst tank Ive gotten so far is 28 mpg, and that was all stop and go traffic. Average has been 34 mpg with mixed driving. Engine is very quiet, hasnt burned a drop of oil yet. Lots of pickup for a sedan, screaming to red line every once in a while is quite fun. Handling is superb, control layouts are intuitive. Everyone gushes at the deceivingly large interior. Great looks, reliability, performance, never thought Id drive anything but Subaru. Honda changed my whole outlook. Excellent car Ill recommend to anyone in the future!

  • Why can,t they all be 90 Civics? - 1990 Honda Civic
    By -

I bought this car from my brother-in-law with 75,000 miles. It has been a great car. In summer I get 40+ mpg although I do mostly highway miles. No gizmos just basic transportation. The mileage is comparable to hybrids but this vehicle was built 18 years ago. I wish Honda would offer an updated version of the 90 Civic with simplicity, convenience, and quality in mind. This is probably the best car I ever owned.

  • disapointed with gas mileage - 2004 Honda Civic
    By -

I lover the vehicle. It rides real nice. Handles the road well and looks sharp with the spoiler. I love everything about it except that I was very disapointed with the mileage. I ride mostly highway and have filled up the tank several times and I am averaging 27-28 miles to the gallon. This I found very disappointing because I only baught the car to save gas and I thought that I would get better mileage than this. But I do love the car.
