Model Overview:

Since its launch in 1973, the Honda Civic has been one of the most popular compact cars sold in America. Its success can be attributed in large part to its consistently high level of quality inside and out and its long-standing reputation for reliability and low running costs. Impressive fuel economy and engaging performance have also played a role in making the Civic a top choice for many Americans.

The competition has largely caught up with Honda, though, and there are now many excellent small cars vying for your attention. Still, we continue to recommend the Civic due to its ergonomic interior layout, wide range of models and high resale value. For small-car shoppers in search of a solid used vehicle, the Honda Civic is certainly a smart choice, as its long production run and many variants make it easy to find what you want.

  • The Best Car ever - 2006 Honda Civic

I only have the car a short time and it was a lot more money than I wanted to spend but, what a great car. The driving is easy and the fuel economy is great. This is the tenth Honda product I have purchased over the years and I hope to drive it for the ten. Dont think twice about the other car companies, they cant come close to the Honda Quality and ride

  • Very happy with 08 5 spd. coupe - 2008 Honda Civic

My wife and I were very impressed with the awesome styling, high-tech, cool interior, and handling of the Civic Coupe. I was surprised that the dealer was willing to deal on price, so we bought it. $16,936 for the LX coupe. I put a couple hundred miles on it, then topped off the tank for the trip from Anchorage to Fairbanks, 360 miles. Filled the tank again upon arrival, 46.28 MPG!!! Very conservative, economy style driving, not over 60, coasting on hills, etc. The more I drive it the more i like it.

  • Best Little Car On the road - 2003 Honda Civic

One of the best compact cars w/ a 4- cylinder engine that I have ever driven. It is so quiet that you really can not even here it when its running. I switched to this from 1996 Pontiac Firebird because of the Fuel Economy that you get with Civic. I really can not tell a difference between my old car and this one it is definitely an all around better car. I would have to say that it beats the competition hands down no contest.

I dont understand peoples neg. reviews for this car. Its been absolutely great for me. Probably just a few Americans that are jealous because the japanese make better cars.

  • Hondas Done It Again!!! - 2001 Honda Civic

The Civic EX is a great commuter car. Fun to drive, great on fuel, comfortable and low maintence costs. After more then a year of driving and over 68,000 miles, Ive only had to change the tires and the breaks. This is a great car for someone on a budget or whos just looking to have a car that just doesnt break down!!!

  • A Rattle Box!! - 2009 Honda Civic

Ive had no problems with the engine, but everything inside this car rattles...the dash, the door panel....and it drives you insane!! Poor, poor fit and finish. Sounds like loose change is inside the door. Took to dealer and of course they drove it on a smooth road and "couldnt reproduce". Also when steering wheel is in upper position, cant see the odometer. Automatic locking everything also drives you insane when getting groceries etc. out of the trunk and back seat...the doors keep locking (found a way to disable the rear door auto-lock, but the trunk eludes me. When you close trunk, doors automatically lock...then you have to unlock them again!

  • Must buy civic version. Better than 2001 - 2000 Honda Civic
    By -

Driven the car to San Diego from Bayarea and to Reno. Gas mileage 33- 37 MPG is comparable to Civic Hybrid 41 MPG (had 04Hybrid). Do not bother to purchase Civic hybrid cos it will not get even close to 45 MPG let alone 50 MPG. Sold it and bought yr 2000 for the better power and better driving experience than my other 4-dr 01 EX. Not sure bout Civic EX 2002-2008 version of Civic.

  • 2nd Owner - 1996 Honda Civic

Bought this car as my go-getter in Feb 08. The previous owner had neglected this car so I got it at a steal knowing that I would have some work to be done. Whew, $2000 mechanical bill and a $1200 paint job later this thing is awesome. I added some new wheels, projector headlights, LED taillights, and a window tint and now I get endless comments on how good it looks. The stock engine is peppy and seems reliable now that maintenance is up to par. No matter how you drive, this thing never gets less than 30 mpg either.

  • My Best Honda Yet - 2006 Honda Civic
    By -

In the past 12 years, I have owned 3 Hondas (2 Civics, and an Accord), this is the best one yet. I knew just as soon as I saw it on an internet ad that I had to get one, especially since my new job has me 35 miles away from home. The glowing gas mpg was not as great initially but has improved greatly over time. I love everything about this car. It even fits my family of 4 comfortably (its a coupe!)on trips out in town.
