Since its launch in 1973, the Honda Civic has been one of the most popular compact cars sold in America. Its success can be attributed in large part to its consistently high level of quality inside and out and its long-standing reputation for reliability and low running costs. Impressive fuel economy and engaging performance have also played a role in making the Civic a top choice for many Americans.

The competition has largely caught up with Honda, though, and there are now many excellent small cars vying for your attention. Still, we continue to recommend the Civic due to its ergonomic interior layout, wide range of models and high resale value. For small-car shoppers in search of a solid used vehicle, the Honda Civic is certainly a smart choice, as its long production run and many variants make it easy to find what you want.

  We went to test drive the Accord because we wanted a bigger family vehicle. We decided to try the Civic as it appeared bigger than I remembered. It was. The Civic has plenty of room and feels solid and safe. Drives silky smooth, quiet, and is the best looking Civic yet. Gas mileage and cost also won us over. Great car.

  I have owned 3 Hondas before this one, and this one tops them all. I bought this EX used and it has not had one single engine problem in 1 year. I am 511 and it fits me like glove in front and back. Besides the manual clutch jamming very rarely, its a smooth ride. It is slightly loud on the road, but you learn to ignore it because it can keep up with any car on the road. On a trip to LA I drove 70 mph and got 33.33 MPG over 410 miles. When I drive slower I get about 35 mpg. This is a great reliable car! My next car will be a NEW civic whenever that day comes. :)

  I would like to just say that my car is awesome! I love to drive it, I save on gas, and its so cool looking. I customized it slightly to fit my personality, but it is one of the best cars Ive ever had.

  Love my Civic EX! - 2006 Honda Civic

  Bought my Civic EX Coupe with a manual transmission just over 2 years ago and still love it. Not only is it a great looking car, its fun to drive. Very economical on gas and seems to get much better than stated in the reviews. Im averaging about 33 mpg and thats mainly driving around town!

  Unless you have some type of phobia about being on the road in a small vehicle alongside all these SUVs, this is the car for you. It has great gas mileage,is affordable, reliable, and fun to drive. The only complaint I have is the ill designed rubber front spoiler flap which has come off in both our Civics.

  the car has alot of tech. it still needs auto headlights. gm owners are used to having them and honda should look at this.

  First glance I had of the new 2006 Civic was love at first sight. Its even better driving the new Civic. All control are readily accessible and the new "two tier" insturment panel is superb (reminds me of my HUD on my Corvette). You never had to take your eyes off the road. Straight off the showroom I got 38 MPG the first tank. Since they are hard to come by, I see a lot of people eyeing it wondering what it is. If youre looking for styling, reliability, gas mileage, and people staring, buy a new Civic (Im sure youll have to order it), they dont stay on the lot. Love it better than the 2001 2-door Accord I had.

  This is my 4th Honda and I truly love this car! I waited four months to get it and it was well worth the wait. It is beautiful, inside and out. It runs smoothly, has the pick up I need and great gas mileage. I highly recommend this car!

  This car is amazing! Great on gas, soooo quiet. It is great on getting up to speed when you need to and turns on a dime. This car is amazing and comfortable in every way shape and form!
