A host of minor changes bring the Civic into 2003. On the inside, all models gain improved seat fabrics, rear adjustable outboard headrests and new four-spoke steering wheels. On HX, LX and EX Civics, you'll find improved gauge illumination. There's a new center console for LX and EX, and a CD player is standard for HX and LX. On the outside, the 2003 Honda Civic has freshened taillamps and new wheel designs. Also, there is a Hybrid Civic available for the 2003 model year.

- Antilock brakes not available on DX or LX.

It is fun to drive reliable and really cute. I have had alot of fun putting a few custom things on it and everyone knows it is my car when I drive down the street.

By himtngrl - October 21 - 10:00 amthis is my first ever honda, after 3 toyotas. the toyotas are great for hard driving, they seem to thrive on high rpm shifting. the honda likes more gentle driving, gas mileage suffers with hard driving, so in that regard the toyota is better for me. ive been dissapointed with the quality control of the honda. lots of small things, sun visor drooped, one window is very slow, dealer says it cant really be fixed, weather striping around windshield is not smooth, etc. mechanically, its great, good accel (get the 5 spd)sound system is fine, love the turn radius!

I dont understand the complaints about the paint, Hondas seem to have the best paint appearance in the business. Head room at 6 is tight, rear view in the coupe is tough. The exterior design of the coupe makes this car one of the best looking vehicles on the road. Does seem to have slightly soft suspension(not for slaloms). 39 MPG (mainly highway. Surprisingly large trunk space, and rear seats are reasonably comfortable for 2 people.

Thank god I upgraded - 2003 Honda Civic
By dgkt2 - September 26 - 10:00 amI had been driving a Honda Civic Coupe DX, which I thought was the best car in the world. Thanks to an untimely event with a deer, I upgraded. The new EX is incredibly comfortable. I feel as if I am driving around in a lazy boy recliner. The gas mileage seems to be just as efficient as the DX, but the power and handling of this car makes the DX inferior.
