A host of minor changes bring the Civic into 2003. On the inside, all models gain improved seat fabrics, rear adjustable outboard headrests and new four-spoke steering wheels. On HX, LX and EX Civics, you'll find improved gauge illumination. There's a new center console for LX and EX, and a CD player is standard for HX and LX. On the outside, the 2003 Honda Civic has freshened taillamps and new wheel designs. Also, there is a Hybrid Civic available for the 2003 model year.

Pros:
  • Fuel-efficient and environmentally friendly engines, roomy interior, reputation for durability, impressive crash test scores.
Cons:
  • Antilock brakes not available on DX or LX.

  • Loved this car! - 2003 Honda Civic

I got this car brand new with 2 miles on it in April 2003. I traded it in last night after 13.5 years and 196k miles. Awesome car! Only issue was temp gauge that no matter what was replaced, kept acting up. Thats reason why I got a new car. But other than that it was an amazing car, reliable.

  • Best Car - 2003 Honda Civic

Best car on the road, however little small for 66 guy. Can not beat the quality, gas mileage, and depreciation.

  • Honda Sis forever! - 2003 Honda Civic

This is the third Civic Si and the 16th Honda (not including my Honda motorcycles) that I have owned. It may be viewed by some as a kids car, but I am not a kid. To others, the exterior design may seem a little "funky" but I love it. Best of all, I really like the performance for the price in combination with decent fuel economy and the complete relability of a Honda. My last Si had 180,000 miles on it when it was "retired" by a careless driver. Otherwise, I would still be driving it! Dollar for dollar, you cant beat them!

  • Stickin w/ the hondas - 2003 Honda Civic
    By -

Ive owned an 87 prelude, 87 crx, 95 civic hatchback, 01 prelude and now a 03 civic ex sedan and honda continues to make cars that fit my needs. Ive owned my new civic for 6 months with 4400 miles. My wife was broadsided in it 3 months ago and the car flipped over. She walked away from the accident w/out injury. Caved in the entire passenger side, and flipped the car over onto the drivers side. Car did what it was supposed to do and protected my wife. Ill be stickin w/the hondas. The car also handles good, and gives me great gas mileage and reliability. I dont need anything else. Thanks Honda.

  • Si Grows Up ! - 2003 Honda Civic
    By -

No longer a high-strung peaky hot rod, this new Si is aimed at a new market. This is the most European Honda ever sold here. Designed in Germany, built in England, this car is all a GTI should be, but isnt. The flat torque band pushes drivability far beyond any prior Si. The new 2L is perhaps the smoothest 4-pot made today and the 5 speed is the best of any FWD Honda. Other hatches may be hotter, but none can beat the refinement, smoothness, reliability and precision of the Si. If engineering excellence matters more to you than loud exhausts, slamming your ride or drag racing, this is the Si youve waited for.

  • Traded my S2000 for a Civic Hybrid - 2003 Honda Civic
    By -

After my first 1000 miles I cant find anything I dont like about this car. Next month It will be loaded up with wife and 2 dogs for a road trip to Florida. It will be nice to pass by all those gas stations. This car could use a few more options, but Im not complaining. It is well equiped and Im adding an aftermarket navigation system and MP3 player. There is no sunroof option. Suddenly I have alot more uses for it than my S2000.

  • Much Better Than Expected - 2003 Honda Civic
    By -

Honda Civic Hybrid far exceeded my expectations. Its got a surprisingly smooth and quiet ride, excellent acceleration, and a different sort of "feel", -- hard to describe, you have to test drive it. It just doesnt feel like a small car, and sometimes doesnt feel like a car at all. For example, it NEVER shifts, or you can say it always shifts (the continuously variable trasmission), but you never feel anything.

  • Great Value - 2003 Honda Civic
    By -

Tested quite a few cars, Civic, Jetta, Accord, Focus. The civic seemed to be the best value for the money. Got rid of a Toyota Tundra (pricey, horrible gas mileage!!!). What fun it is to drive a car again! I had a 94 Civic at one point and should have never got rid of it. It feels good choosing a Honda again.

  • Love it! - 2003 Honda Civic

This is my very first car as I am a new driver. Ive been driving it for a month now and I love everything about it except for the tires. The EX model is equipped with cheap firestone tires that dont do well in snow. I recomend it to other young drivers especially because its easy to drive, comfortable, great gas mileage, and quiet.

  • Fun and well priced. A drivers car. - 2003 Honda Civic
    By -

Ive had the privilidge of driving many cars from Geos to Ferraris and NSXs. The Si is hands down one of the most fun and solid-feeling cars I have driven. It feels like its on rails. Picked mine up for $16k and would do it all over again if I had to. Its Reliability, fun factor, efficiency, and performance far overshadow its few shortcomings. After having had 4 other Hondas I considered other makes, but few lived up to my 98 Prelude that I was replacing. For anyone looking for a new car I would highly recommend you at least look at this car.
