Since its launch in 1973, the Honda Civic has been one of the most popular compact cars sold in America. Its success can be attributed in large part to its consistently high level of quality inside and out and its long-standing reputation for reliability and low running costs. The competition has largely caught up with Honda, though, and there are now many excellent small cars vying for your attention. Still, we continue to recommend the Civic due to its ergonomic interior layout, wide range of models and high resale value.   Had a huge van before. This car is so easy to drive, park & most of all see out of! Love seeing my speed in big letters! Also, cant miss the gas guage. The gas lasts really long too! It is beautiful, inside & out. Totally happy with it all!

  Great car so far, no problems what so ever. Added some upgrades and have turned this blah looking car into something real cool to look at and drive, really a chick car but worth the money for a reliable small car.

  Not happy - 2008 Honda Civic

  We purchased the Honda Civic Hybrid four weeks ago. We have 860 miles on it and are frustrated and very unhappy with the performance of the car. The average mpg we are getting is 31.5 which is totally unsatisfactory. We are so upset I have complained to Honda of Superstition Springs and was told to contact American Honda Motor Co. needless to say they have not helped. Is there no one in this world that has any integrity left ?

  I got 90,000 miles on my civic, bought it with 52,000. I have had NO mechanical problems, just brakes and tires. Change oil every 3k, rotate tires every 6k. Clutch is still going strong with no sign of backing down. 35 mpg in the city, 42 on highway. Do the maintenance recommended and you will have a car that you will get your moneys worth out of. The ONLY thing that has gone out is the power door locks on the drivers side, but not a big deal.

  I traded in my RX-8 for better gas mpg. I only average 28 mpg city/highway. I like the car but have some complaints. The fit & finish is OK, not great, my subwoofer causes a vibration noise in the car. This car is very hard to judge because you cant see the front or rear of car. The ride is very nice. I like the car but I am somewhat disappointed in some areas. I hope the mpg improves.

  I bought this car approx. 3 months after I got my license almost 3 1/2 years ago, and I was smitten when I got behind the wheel. If your a 1st time driver, or a person who just wants a car to drive, and isnt concerned with "fun" driving this car is 100% perfect for you. But for myself, now I want more power, and huge fun factor when Im driving, so off to the 08 G35x

  I had looked into many other cars in this category, and the Civic EX was by far the most impressive, after learning about the almost non-existant depreciation rate, it seemed like a no brain-er. Love the new dash!

  Bought the car new. Has been in the shop 16 times going on my 17th. I have never had a car with so many problems. This will be my last Honda. Trying to get Honda to buy it back b/4 going to BBB.

  I have only had it a month but pretty much love it so far. Honda is well known for reliability and that is what I am hoping for. Very good gas mileage, comfort is ok..could be better seats and radio system though.
