Model Overview:

Since its launch in 1973, the Honda Civic has been one of the most popular compact cars sold in America. Its success can be attributed in large part to its consistently high level of quality inside and out and its long-standing reputation for reliability and low running costs. Impressive fuel economy and engaging performance have also played a role in making the Civic a top choice for many Americans.

The competition has largely caught up with Honda, though, and there are now many excellent small cars vying for your attention. Still, we continue to recommend the Civic due to its ergonomic interior layout, wide range of models and high resale value. For small-car shoppers in search of a solid used vehicle, the Honda Civic is certainly a smart choice, as its long production run and many variants make it easy to find what you want.

  • Great Car For The Money - 2006 Honda Civic
    By -

Best car for the bucks. Great pick-up and ride. Love all the standard features. Wish the stereo had a little more thump but Ill replace the back speakers with a pair of 6 X 9s and a small amp and enjoy. Other cars in the class dont come close to this one. Honda hit a home run! I went back to Honda this time and wont go anywhere else in the future.

  • Good Car - Not Perfect - 2002 Honda Civic

Drive train and suspension are rock solid after 135K miles. Great gas mileage. Would buy another, but cant say the car is total nirvana. Had little things go wrong, fuel sender and interior light switch malfunctions at 40K and more usual stuff fail later on, but overall a decent little car.

  • Excellent buy - 2008 Honda Civic

Ive owned my Civic for about a month and am extremely satisfied with my purchase. I test drove a Toyota Camry and Honda Accord, but the Civic was a better sized car for me and still has the features I love.

  • Excellent - 2005 Honda Civic
    By -

I drove this car for three years before I traded for a Honda Civic 2008. Worst decision I ever made. I wish I have my car back. The Civic 2005 is an excellent car, I never had a problem with it.

  • Definitely would recommend Civic Hybrid - 2006 Honda Civic

Car rides smoothly and is very stylish, I drive about an hr to go to work and dont use much fuel. Its very economical and cost effective. 4dr sedan is roomy and comfortable. Its a must see for single guys and gals like me or small families!

  • Exceptional vehicle - 2007 Honda Civic

I have been very pleased with the quality and performance. I average about 35 mpg in a normal weeks driving on the interstate and in town. I do tend to drive a little faster than most people. I have got up to 41mpg while driving an average speed of 73 mph for over 500 miles but I was heading towards the midwest from the rocky mountains. A lot of compliments on the cars outside looks and inside looks. Everyone loves the navigation and I would not purchase another car without it. I am 63"215lbs and find plenty of room in this car. I dont think that I would be much bigger and drive this car though. I do not like the ipod hookup becuase it does not display song title or does not play all songs

  • My Baby - 2000 Honda Civic
    By -

I wish all if the choices here went to 1000 so i could give the car 1000 in everything! This is the best car we have ever had. Anyone looking for a car, stay away from General Motors and Ford. Hondas are the best. This is to the ceo of Honda: DONT EVER STOP BUILDING CIVICS!

  • Perfect commuter - 2008 Honda Civic
    By -

I drive about 20k which is mostly commuting and a mix of city and hwy driving. I traded in a Toyota matrix for this car and its really made the commute much more enjoyable. Although road noise is cited as an issue with this car, I find it far superior to the Toyota in that aspect. Instrumentation very handy and intuitive. It is clean, economical, commuter at a good price. Theres plenty of room and it actually feels like a midsize because of the dash and windshield configurations.

  • Reliable gas miser - 2007 Honda Civic
    By -

After driving my SUV into the ground, I decided to quit spending so much at the gas pump. I wanted the most reliable, fuel efficient (somewhat) inexpensive car I could find. At one year and 8,000 miles, it has fulfilled my expectations. I would highly recommend this car.

  • Pros and Cons - 2003 Honda Civic
    By -

This car is an excellent small car, with the emphasis on small. If you are over 6 ft. tall you cannot sit in the back of this car without hitting your head on the roof. Also, the sunroof cuts off another couple of inches in the front, so once again 6 ft. + is very tight, but you can get another inch or so if you lower the seet all the way. Apparently, the 2003 have a rougher idle than the 2002s or at least that is what the dealership is telling me. I have not had it in yet, but the idle is annoying.
