Model Overview:

Since its launch in 1973, the Honda Civic has been one of the most popular compact cars sold in America. Its success can be attributed in large part to its consistently high level of quality inside and out and its long-standing reputation for reliability and low running costs. Impressive fuel economy and engaging performance have also played a role in making the Civic a top choice for many Americans.

The competition has largely caught up with Honda, though, and there are now many excellent small cars vying for your attention. Still, we continue to recommend the Civic due to its ergonomic interior layout, wide range of models and high resale value. For small-car shoppers in search of a solid used vehicle, the Honda Civic is certainly a smart choice, as its long production run and many variants make it easy to find what you want.

Great car, fun to drive, good on gas with that same 2 door coupe engine. Turns heads everywhere, plus plenty of room for my teenage sons and they just cant wait to drive it too, but not just yet, I got to have my fun. A 4 door that everyone will love.

I love this car and I can personally vouch for the safety ratings. A month after I bought this car, I was in a head on collision. My daughter and husband were in the car and we walked away without a scratch. This car handles well, has lots of storage space and I get 33 mpg (combo of city and hwy). Not to mention, it looks better than the Corolla, Sentra, and Mazda 3. Hondas last forever and for the price, you cant find a better deal. Not to mention, the resale is better than any other.

I like the car because its economy and a small car that I can park anywhere it will fit also very economic.

  • Lovely little hatch - 2005 Honda Civic

Whatever the Civic Si lacks in, the originality of the car and the distinctive styling makes up for it. People can make fun of it by calling it a mini-mini van, but in reality, they want it so bad. The interior is unique, with awesome seats manufactured by Recaro (for those of you who didnt know) and the steering wheel manufactured by Momo. Some people may think that $19K is too much for the car, but you have to realize that Honda didnt use any cheap parts or even cheap plastic to build this car. Love the car, love the styling, love the orginality.

  • Fun Car To Drive, Best SI Ever - 2006 Honda Civic

Bought the car new in 2006, didnt really want a car with the Navi System in it, but now I cant live without it. The performance of this car is great. I have owned other Hondas in the past, but they really outdid them selves with this model. The car really starts to perform above 6k rpm. The power curve is great, its like the engine kicks up to another level. Glad I wanted for this years model to come out!! Very Low maintenance, I have only had to buy tires, and normal oil changes for 49k miles. Great fuel mileage for this model. Compared to a Acura RSX with the same engine, the SI averages about 8-10 miles per gallon more.

  • Hondas are the best - 2005 Honda Civic

I have two 05 Civics, one a 5 speed manual, the other is an auto. The 5 speed has never has any mechanical problems except the clear coat started to peel off the rear bumper after a visit to the car wash. Honda fixed it under warranty and I never had another problem. That car has 70K on it. The auto has 32K. Although they are slugs power wise, I am getting high 30s in the winter and low 40s in the warm weather. Driving a stick can be a pain in traffic, but it consistently gets better mileage than the automatic trans. The Hondas feel like they have been gone over by engineers until they have it right. Drive the car gingerly and dont beat it, get the maintenance done and they will hold up

  • The Gold Standard - 1999 Honda Civic

I adore my Civic. The ride is smooth and enjoyable shifting is a piece of cake (I have a manual) while not powerful, it will give you a kick to pass someone if need be. Not a lot of frills, but utterly reliable. Were at 156k miles, and I imagine my toddler inheriting it when hes driving age! Take care of your Honda--follow maintenance schedule, change the oil, fill it with Chevron, Shell, etc.--youre in for a treat. And did I mention that I consistently get 37-38 mpg in mixed city driving? Incredible. Who needs a Prius?

  • Finally the Civic of Dreams is here! - 2006 Honda Civic

I just recently purchased the 06 Civic EX coupe 5 speed Auto w/o Navi. This car rocks! Handling is amazing, so much fun to drive. The interior is packed full of ergonomic features. The exterior is stylish and modern. The cars wider base gives it a heavier feel and makes it seem like the vehicle hovers over the road. Love the 2 level instrumental panel display. I like seeing the speedometer reading with my peripheral vision. The seats offer great lumbar support for those long drives. I had friends ride in the back seat and they said that the ride was comfortable and smooth. This awesome, new and much improved Civic can do no wrong & to think I was going to buy a Scion Tc!

  • Horrible car, Horrible deal. - 2007 Honda Civic

Horrible. Horrible. Horrible. My 2007 had the engine crack issue. Dealer and Honda wont replace it. They want to charge me $4200 dollars. If you are thinking about it, please dont do it. Dont buy any Civic from 2006 to 2009./
