No styling, content or trim changes for the 2000 Honda Civic. The performance-oriented Si continues for 2000, and there have been paint comings and goings: Taffeta White has been added to the CX and DX Hatchback, and Dark Amethyst has been dropped; Titanium Metallic comes to the DX, LX and EX Sedan, and Vogue Silver is gone. Vintage Plum is now available to the LX and EX Sedan, and Inza Red has been eliminated.
- Roomier than many cars in this class, agreeable levels of comfort in any trim level, powerful Si engine.

By icvci - September 18 - 2:00 amMy 2000 DX hatchback is the perfect car for the price. Fold the rear 50/50 split seats down and the interior turns into a 21 cubic foot cargo area. Things I have taken home in my Civic Hatchback - 32 inch TV in its box also in the car at the time, my wife, two empty 5 gallon water bottles, a small tool box, and an unassembled stand for the TV. 1 Maytag Neptune washer My 2 dalmatians, my wife, golf clubs, and luggage for a weeks vacation. All this while getting from 32 to 42 MPG!

Best Car - 2000 Honda Civic
By Mr. Tup - August 26 - 2:00 amCar is very comfortable, has great pick up and is great on gas. Perfect 1st car!Inside is comfprtable for 5 and the seats are supportive. Has power everything (LX) and has a great list of standard items like cruise control, a/c, and rear defroster. I would recomend the Civic to anyone looking for a cheep car.

By J the hustler - August 3 - 2:00 amthis is by far the most fun to drive car i have ever owned and i have had many different cars in my life. the handling is amazing and the power that you get out of a little 1.6 liter engine is unbelievable. plenty of affordable mods for this car available. i plan to keep this car as long as i can.

By ThaDC511 - June 11 - 2:00 amI bought this car used in January of 2004 with a shockingly low 20k miles on it. While car shopping, I said that I wanted a 4 Door Car and a car that was not a Civic. And look what I ended up with? A easy to drive car that gets you from point A to point B with no trouble at all. I had a 1996 Accord before this and I enjoy driving the Civic more. It hasnt had a problem, which is great for a college student like myself. Decent looking car with excellent sight lines for lane changes or parallel parking, but I do worry about it being stolen. After 6 months with the car, I found myself saying "I know why theres so many on the road."

Almost Perfect! - 2000 Honda Civic
By T.C. - May 16 - 2:00 amI bought my 2000 Civic Si brand new. I have never had a single problem with it mechanically. Just followed the recommneded maintenance - thats it! I have driven it through fairly heavy rain/snow with no problems - that is, AFTER replacing the stock Michelin XGT V4s, which were downright DANGEROUS on any wet road conditions. I am now running Yokohama Avid T4s, which are not as high-performance but they increased the ride comfort considerably - at the cost of more body lean in the turns due to a softer sidewall. A fair trade-off, because their wet-weather capability is outstanding.

A good car with some problems. - 2000 Honda Civic
By Tonisama - May 16 - 2:00 amGood: Interior build quality and control layout is hard to beat in a car of this price. Controls are all well placed and materials are high quality. The car is very comfortable to drive. Bad: Engine is noticeably loud in the upper RPM ranges. Automatic transmission is not very smooth between shifts. Engine downshifts as soon as I take my foot off the accelerator, then abruptly shifts back up into previous gear. Causes car to lose speed even when traveling downhill! Strange black trim pieces gave me pause. Why didnt Honda make the EX exterior trim, which was integrated and color matched, a standard on all trim levels.

awesome car - 2000 Honda Civic
By Kristeye82 - May 12 - 2:00 amI bought this car after having a car that broke down all the time. I was pleasantly suprised that I have had absolutely no problems with it, even after a whole year. I have a half hour drive to work everyday and my civic is extremely reliable! I would recommend this car to anyone and everyone.
