Model Overview:

Since its launch in 1973, the Honda Civic has been one of the most popular compact cars sold in America. Its success can be attributed in large part to its consistently high level of quality inside and out and its long-standing reputation for reliability and low running costs. Impressive fuel economy and engaging performance have also played a role in making the Civic a top choice for many Americans.

The competition has largely caught up with Honda, though, and there are now many excellent small cars vying for your attention. Still, we continue to recommend the Civic due to its ergonomic interior layout, wide range of models and high resale value. For small-car shoppers in search of a solid used vehicle, the Honda Civic is certainly a smart choice, as its long production run and many variants make it easy to find what you want.

  • Great commuter car - 2000 Honda Civic

Bought this car new and have put 230,000 trouble free miles on it. Seriously I have only done oil changes, tires, brakes, and the timing belt. Although I am still getting 36 mpg in mostly highway driving, it is getting a little long in the tooth and am looking for a new car. Want to by domestic, but cannot bring myself to not buy a Honda.

  • One of the best in class - 2008 Honda Civic

I love this car. I love it when the engine hits the 6000- 8200 rpm. It makes me want to Pound it everywhere I go, and I still get 24 mpg. The transmission is smooth. Some people complain about third gear but I havent had any problems. I would like to have more power, but who doesnt. The one thing about this car you have to be in the right gear to get the most out of the engine. Not a perfect car but very fun to drive.

Im unsure of why people conplain about the wind noise and tires in the 2001 Civic. I have driven my Civic for a few months now and have yet to hear or expierence anything bad with this car. The gas milage is great, but some complain about the sticker mileage to the actual milage they recieve, this all depends on the way they drive there car. (Going 80 mph will not give you 30 miles to the gallon) The features inside of the Civic are nice and it has great exterior looks. I added the alloy wheels and a spoiler, these add to the good looks for a relitivly low price. Its a great car for a comutor.

  • 2017 Honda Civic LX Sedan 6sp Manual - 2017 Honda Civic

So far I have put on 1100 plus miles and I do not have any complaints. The car handles well and is roomy (Im 62") with plenty of space for passengers. I think the price I paid was fair and I would do business with my dealer again. Lots of cargo room too. The 6sp manual transmission is quick and responsive and fun to drive.

  • Great Machine - 2007 Honda Civic

Honda has kept with their roots and made the most impressive car in its class. there are a few cars that may go faster becasue of larger engines and/or turbos. this 2.0 dohc i-vtec engine screams all the way to 8000 rpms and will smoke the competion that hasnt cheated by adding v6 or forced induction motors. The torgue is low for a performace car, but nontheless the car is zippy and the speed sneaks up on you. The 6 speed has short gears and pulls in all of them. The interior is very unique and some may not like it, but I feel right at home. Its a performance car, not meant for the average driver. Obviously I just got this car, so I cant say how the reliablitly is, but its a Honda..enough said.

  • Honda is poor quality - 2007 Honda Civic

I have taken my car to dealer to replace the following since I leased it: 1. The battery. 2. The stereo, 3. Transmission torque converter. 4. Steering wheel peeling off. As you can see HONDA HAS DECLINED QUALITY lately and reliability is 0%. Plus dealer doesnt supply you with loan car.

  • Do your research! Wouldnt recommend the new Civic - 2016 Honda Civic
    By -

Let me tell you a story of a man who bought a brand new 2016 Honda Civic Touring on 12/15/16. Since they day I have had nothing but issues with this car. Out of the past 80+ days, my car has been in the shop 50 of those days. My bluetooth does not work, my infotainment screen goes in and out, the emergency breaking goes off randomly, etc. I have 29 issues all together with my new car. The first 2 Honda dealerships told me they have seen these issues before and did not want to get wrapped up in legal issues so they would not try and repair my car. Honda corporate will not even talk to me about taking my car back and have been completely disrespectful. Honda truly is NOT the company they used to be and I WILL NEVER buy another Honda again. Dont just take my word for it, DO YOUR RESEARCH! You will find thousands of other Civic owners with similar issues.
