Model Overview:

Since its launch in 1973, the Honda Civic has been one of the most popular compact cars sold in America. Its success can be attributed in large part to its consistently high level of quality inside and out and its long-standing reputation for reliability and low running costs. Impressive fuel economy and engaging performance have also played a role in making the Civic a top choice for many Americans.

The competition has largely caught up with Honda, though, and there are now many excellent small cars vying for your attention. Still, we continue to recommend the Civic due to its ergonomic interior layout, wide range of models and high resale value. For small-car shoppers in search of a solid used vehicle, the Honda Civic is certainly a smart choice, as its long production run and many variants make it easy to find what you want.

  • It Truly Will Reverse Your Thinking - 2006 Honda Civic

This is, by far, the best sedan out there by a mile. Others do not even compare to the performance of this car and the interior design which is miles from extrodinary. It truly is a car that I will love. I want to drive it all the time even when there is no where to go. Plus the fuel economy is great, so that is a major plus.

  • Civic Fog Lamps - 2006 Honda Civic
    By -

Recently purchased a 2006 EX Civic with the Optional Fog Lamps. Ive had the car for five months about 6500 miles and drive local highways in Dallas/Fort Worth. Both Fog Lamps have been shattered and are no longer functional. DO NOT buy this option. Replacement cost is $125.00 EACH. These lamps dont hold up to routine driving conditions. The glass lenses cannot be replaced and So far Honda nor the dealership wont do anything.

  • Not All That I Expected - 2007 Honda Civic
    By -

I purchased my new Civic EX two weeks ago primarily because of all the great reviews it received. I am very happy with the color (Atomic Blue), for which Ive had many compliments, the interior and exterior styling, the many standard options and the fuel economy. Ive filled up once and figured the mileage at 32 mpg with mostly city driving. But I am not at all happy with the ride quality, which is rough and noisy. Every little bump and dip is felt, and on rough asphalt it almost seems to vibrate. The ride is only smooth when the road is totally smooth. Also, the seats are too firm for my liking. I love everything about my new Civic except those two things.

  • Love my new Hybrid - 2005 Honda Civic
    By -

I bought this new Civic Hybrid due to my 100 mile daily round trip commute. The Civic Manual Tranny has taught me to how to drive again. Shifting is EASY! The prompt light tells me the optimum time to shift. I love the on board MPG calculators. I filled up after the fist week. I had 450 Miles and filled up with 10 gallons of gas. I average about 70 MPH on the freeway. I tested the Civic one day averaging about 60 MPH, I got a 50.2 MPG. Awsome. This Civic lacks some zip and pickup if you follow the prompts, but has it if you need to pass in a pinch. Interior is excellent, power windows, cruise, CD Stereo, side airbags and even a climate control stystem. I love my Civic Hybrid!

  • My 1st Civic - 2006 Honda Civic

I traded in my 04 Maxima which ran on premium gas for an 06 Civic for the gas mileage and boy am I saving at the pump. I love the unique design inside and out. I still am not really used to the speedometer up so high. I love the responsive sterring which allows me to do things i never did in my Maxima. The stereo has a subwoofer which is nice, but remember it still is factory so it rattles sometimes and the speakers never seem to play at a high level. Also I was a bit disappointed that there was just one cd instead of 6... seems like Honda wanted to save some money. It also seems that when the car is in the 5-10mph range the car transmission bumps up or down very noticeably.

  • Good lil hybrid - 2009 Honda Civic

Im more of the high HP kind of guy but was looking to get as far away as possible from my WRX. So going to a hybrid was quite the step down in the motor dep. I must say Im really impressed in this lil EZ-go car! The power is less then seat pounding but other then that I love it. The inside is well made and theres plenty of storage space. The ride is fairly good. Im looking to up-grade the sound deading abilities... I drive from Houston, TX to Lincoln, NE quite a bit in a given year. I have had this car for about 6-7 months now and Im trying to pick it apart its quite hard to find anything to nit pick. Just keep in mind this IS a hybrid. The tech is pretty new to the market.

  • Great Car - 2003 Honda Civic

This is the best car Ive owned. Honda continues to produce outstanding vehicles. So far I have only done regularly scheduled maintenance on this car. Its fun to drive and great on gas. I will definitely buy another Honda but it maybe a long long time before that happens since this car will probably last me a very long time.

  • Impressive for a small car - 2009 Honda Civic
    By -

This is my 3rd Honda preceded by an 06 Accord and 07 Ridgeline. The Civic is impressive for an economy car and is inexpensive enough that I dont feel guilty about it being my daily driver. When I feel to drive a big, quiet, comfortable vehicle with a V8 Ill just take my 09 Silverado out for a spin.

  • Great Buy - 2009 Honda Civic

Couldnt spring for the Insight because I got a great deal (21995) for this beauty. Just took a 500 mile trip down I95 and back to Northern Va and averaged 51.1 MPG with my wife and some luggage. No hypermiling used except I got in the rt lane behind a slow driver on the Interstate and I tried to coast in neutral down hills and build momentum for the next hill. In the 163 mile stretch from Fredricksburg, Va to Chesapeake I averaged 54.2 MPG. The overall 51.2 included about 35 miles of city driving in Norfolk. The car is solid and drives smoothly and handles better than the 09 Prius. I think Honda does a great job with their cars. The 09 HCH is a stealth gem waiting to be discovered.
