  • Was great, but after 15k problems appear - 2007 Honda Civic

I have 15k on the car. AIR CONDITIONING IS HORRIBLE. I live in Colorado where we have had 20 days of 90+ heat. And when I drive the car home, the AC STOPS BLOWING COLD AIR whenever the car is stopped (w or w/o autostop). Honda manufacturing & my local dealer have confirmed "THIS IS THE WAY THE CAR IS DESIGNED. In order to get the AC to blow cold air, the engine must be above a certain RPM." Do you have any idea how uncomfortable it is to be sitting in the blazing sun at 5200 ft with no AC? It sucks. Thats why I bought a car WITH AC. Turns out I must rev at the stoplights to have AC. Really disappointed with Honda. wish I had known this before buying.

  • 2 problems - 2007 Honda Civic

This Civic (07 Lx coupe, 5 speed trans) is fun to drive, peppy, has no problems handling the Ozark mountains, at or above the speed limits. Is stylish gets very good gas mileage, but the seats headrest sticks out to much and always seems to bump into the back of my head. Also the a/c vent for the driver is almost directly behind the steering wheel which blows cold air onto your hand. 2 very minor things. You get a great little car for a reasonable price

  • Great disapointment - 2007 Honda Civic

I didnt do much research on this car before I purchased it, however I wish I had. I have had my radio serviced 3 times! It just shuts off, or doesnt start when I start my car. I would have to restart my engine at red lights to try and turn it on again. Another serious issue is BLIND SPOTS!!! In both the front, and the back. Horrible vision, must always readjust passenger seat after passengers get out so I can see. Car slide out a lot, and forget about trying to keep it on the road in the wind. Very disappointed, called Honda yesterday about a trade in!

  • Practical, but fun to drive - 2007 Honda Civic

Just picked up my hybrid last week so it is too soon to know quality/reliability. Hoping Hondas reputation for building reliable cars holds true. Car is fun to drive and so far I have been getting about 35 MPG in town (I almost never do highway driving). Car takes a little getting used to as the hybrid system can be a little jerky at slow, coasting speeds as the regenerative braking system charges the battery. Other than that the hybrid system is seamlessly integrated and the result is a nice ride with ample (not great, obviously) acceleration. The seats are a little uncomfortable and really lack lateral support.

  • I love this car! - 2007 Honda Civic

I, like so many others, turned to fuel efficiency once gas prices went decidedly north. I love the looks of the car, comfort, and handling has been a pleasure. I thought the new wave dash would be a distraction but turns out to be a really nice feature. Has nice pick up in the higher rpm range, however sometimes pick up in initial take off can seem sluggish. Im getting about 32-35 mpg driving about 85% highway.

  • Best car Ive ever owned - 2007 Honda Civic

I leased this car in June of 07 and so far I have had a few minor issues, but overall its a great car. You dont see too many of these on the road and thats a good thing. Engaging VTEC is very addicting.

  • CNG Honda- feels good to drive - 2007 Honda Civic
    By -

Cannot choose which I like more, driving by the gas stations with $5 per gal displayed, or looking at the exhaust pipe after 10,000 miles and it looks totally new! The "feel good" factor is strong..stronger than when I drove the Honda Insight, and far more comfortable too! The Civic body styling is light years ahead of the older Civic along with the functionality too. Only one complaint to those who are 510" or taller. That emergency brake hits you just below the right knee and after longer drives is a total pain! Think Im going to remove it, then all is very, very nice. Range is a little short, but my daily drives are not that far. In short, the US should get on the ball and CNG more.

  • Civic Hybrid Delivers - 2007 Honda Civic

Purchased it to get CA carpool sticker before they disappear. I have been very pleased so far. With 4 tanks of gas, I seem to get around 45MPG overall. The dash calculated values are a bit lower than when I do the miles divided by gallons purchased calculation. If you keep under 70 mph, you seem to get closer to 50 mpg. If you go closer to 85 mpg, it goes down into the low 40s. Stop and start commute traffic gets you in the highto mid 40s. Nothing I do results in the mileage leaving the low 40s. The radio sounds great with my Ipod. Im not thrilled by the tranny but it seems to get the job done in terms of mpg. Acceleration seems fine as long as you dont stomp on it. Overall, Im pleased!!!

  • Nice car, concerned about windshield - 2007 Honda Civic
    By -

This car has been very nice so far. I like the performance, spacious interiors, the fact that it is not expensive to buy and operate, and the 6 airbags. However 3 weeks after I bought it brand new, the very same day that I was to put the license plates in place, I noticed a chip in the windshield, and I feel confused as it is big enough to not be noticed when it happened. I am in a debate between repair or replacement but Im concerned that a poor quality replacement installation can lead to bigger problems. I honestly think it is too soon to have problems with this car, and Im starting to believe that the windshield is weak.

  • 2007 Honda Civic EX - 2007 Honda Civic

Purchased new 2 years ago. Previously had a 2001 Civic, and the gas mileage is slightly less, but this is a much better car with more power. Average 30 MPG town, about 36-40 hwy. Only problem was driver window came off track, but dealer repaired at no charge. Have 41K miles on it, very reliable, excellent in traffic. Highly recommended, if you are looking for a low cost, economy car with a lot of safety features.
