In typical Honda fashion, the Civic receives a number of minor changes this year in order to keep it fresh. For the coupe and sedan, there's new exterior styling, including restyling for the front and rear bumpers, hood, headlights and grille. Inside, the audio speakers have been upgraded, extra sound deadening material has been added and floor mats are now standard in the LX and EX. The LX trim has slightly bigger wheels this year (15 inches) and standard keyless entry. A new value package contains air conditioning, a CD player and a new center console. For the Si hatchback, there are new headlight and taillight designs, larger 16-inch wheels and flashier interior trim. Like the regular sedan, the Civic Hybrid has updated styling, standard floor mats and improved speakers. It also has a new interior console with an armrest, adjustable rear headrests and a manual driver-seat height adjuster. Finally, all 2004 Honda Civic sedans and coupes have a new seatbelt reminder system.

By RomeoWu - September 19 - 10:00 amThis car is awsome, only one thing sucks. The performaance is horrible. Everything else is perfect. Good price ,good mileage, no more worries of it breaking down. I just wish they made a 4 door Si model like in Japan.

By Morbid2600 - August 12 - 2:00 amCan someone tell me why the Hybrid has very few options? The colors are limited along with things you cant get, like a sun roof and spoiler. And why is the antena in the middle of the roof toward the front? The normal rims on the hybrid look horrible.... Why couldnt they just put the technology in a normal civic with the same standards, and sence they didnt why is it more money then one with all those other options... This factor just ruins the hybrid part for me, Id rather just stick with a normal civic and get all the cool extras.

Great car, not-so-great mpg - 2004 Honda Civic
By karenrose - August 2 - 10:00 amOverall love this car. Fun to drive, fast and agile. First Honda Ive ever owned and I love it. Great styling, nice interior, love the stick shift on the dash. Honda should make a convertible model. This car will get me my first speeding ticket. Cant help but race it on the highway.

BUY IT! - 2004 Honda Civic
By C and R - May 18 - 2:00 amWithout a doubt...this is one of the best vehicles we have owned. I only wish more models were available to choose from. The mileage is great, but the surprising aspect is that id drives like any other vehicle in the city and on the Interstate. After owning a hybrid, we will not own a non-hybrid vehicle again.

Something So Small Yet Wonderful - 2004 Honda Civic

The car is great,I drove it a few times and its terrific. It takes off fast and stops smoothly. Its a perfect compact car for anyone who is into compact cars.

By lkernish - May 18 - 2:00 amI love my hybrid, its a great car, I downsized from a larger car and felt insecure at the beginning, but once I drove the car I felt secure in it. I highly recommend this car for its look and for the fuel economy.

A/C problems - 2004 Honda Civic
By BRobins - May 8 - 10:00 amThis car would be great for a climate that never reaches over 100 degrees! Anything over that the a/c is terrible. Everytime you accelerate no matter if you mash the throttle or have an egg between your foot this vehicle blows hot air at you, which translate to the fact that in stop and go traffic the car never even comes close to getting comfortable inside the vehicle. According to my selling dealership this is a normal condition and nothing can be done about it. My recomendation is not to purchase this vehicle at all untill they have a fix for thier "normal" problem. Also the dealership also told me that all of the honda vehicles do this so beware!!

By Fintago - February 7 - 10:00 amI only had to take it back once in 34000 miles. The plastic right front windshield post covering was rattling after 20000 miles of dirt roads. Fixed in about an hour. I get 43 to 44 mpg at 80M.P.H. on Interstate, and 49 to 51 M.P.G.around town. The best I got was in the Keys (54-56 M.P.G. (flat land below 55 M.P.H.) And yes, I would buy another one, my other vehicle is a 2003 Dodge 1500 Quad Cab truck.(17 to18 M.P.G.) 15 M.P.G. on the Interstate.

get what you pay for - 2004 Honda Civic
By 04lx10533 - June 26 - 5:16 amI bought this car as my 02 accord v6 came off lease. With the price of gas figured the civic would treat me better, and it has. My complaints (which seem to be redundant) come from the cheap bits and overall inexpensive feel of the car. After 7000 miles I also have "heel holes" in the drivers floor mat. The passenger window doesnt close (started after 4000 miles), the cloth armrest is beginning to form a hole where my elbow goes, and, after being hit in a parking lot, I am looking at replacing the rear bumper. Hey things happen, but at nearly $400 estimate for the rear bumper ... come on ... I thought this was an economy car! By the way, there is no power lock lever on the passenger side?!?!?
