This is my first Honda and I love it. My previous car was a Cadillac DeVille and we bought this to tow behind a motorhome and for my work car. It handles beautifully and I love being able to manuever it so easily, especially into small parking places. And the "real time 4 wheel drive" is perfect for me and my driving requirements.

I just wish it got a little better gas mileage. For a four cylinder car, it should get better then 22 miles per gallon

Good SUV! If you want extras such as a roof rack or running boards, getting them online and installing them yourself will likely be a better deal than your local dealership. Ive checked my mileage twice and have gotten 26 and 26.5 mpg. If you leave your keys in the ignition you cant accidentally lock the doors (take THAT, on-star!).

First Honda ever and after much research definitely made the right choice. Great styling, very good handling and lots of interior room. High seating position is very nice and gives a great view over smaller cars. AWD is reassuring. Short throw shifts are very sporty as are the seats. Fold down, reclining and sliding rear seats are fantastic.

  • Great design, terrible gas mileage - 2004 Honda CR-V

Love the car for its utility and versatility. it can carry three mountain bikes in the back and is great for our big dog. But the low gas mileage shocked us - 15 mpg for largely suburban driving (school runs, errands etc.) Has done really well off road when weve needed it to, and handled very well in snow and ice, with and without chains. The super expensive ($500) oxygen sensor went out just after the warranty expired and that was a disappointment.

  • Fun to drive, great car - 2004 Honda CR-V

Traded a 1999 Olds Bravada for the CRV. Wanted a car with better mileage and better reliability. I found it in the CRV. I was afraid that going from a loaded luxurious SUV to the CRV might be a mistake, but after driving it for the last 3 months, I am far from disappointed. The CRV handles better than the Bravada, feels much more secure at highway speeds, and is simply a joy to drive. It’s handling in city driving is excellent. It feels tight in turns and starts and stops quickly. The ride is not as soft as the Bravada, but then again, I didn’t expect it to be as soft. I’m very happy with this car. I intend to keep it for several years.

I bought my honda crv ex AWD 1 month ago, and its not so great as other reviews, Pros: great engine, fun to drive, Cons: bad windshield with distortions on the right side, bad off road capabilities, bad gear shift handle on the way of radio, bad seats very tight.

  • Never another Honda - 2004 Honda CR-V

Gas mileage much lower than what I was originally told, too frequent on the fill ups. Acceleration weak but tolerable, car runs smooth. Speakers make a buzzing sound. Car jack difficult to crank, panel that holds jack regularly opens and jack slides out. At 62,000 miles radiator, engine heads and all radiator hoses all broke at once just months after the full 60,000 mile service overhaul.

I absolutely love my CRV. I had a car before I got my SUV, and now I will never go back. The CRV has great gas milage and is so comfortable. I drive every weekend a total of 4 hours and I love my ride home. I will always have a Honda. Thanks

  • I Rave For Rav - 2004 Honda CR-V

Lot more get up and go than the Toyota Rav. And seems quieter. But a little bumpy on rough roads. But tested them all and seemed the best for the price!
