We bought a CR-V the frist of January in 2000. We have had it ever since the car is just amazing. Its fuel efficient, looks great, has lots of low end torque, the smoothers ride and just the reassurance of Honda quality. We just bought the lx model nothing special, front wheel drive not the real time. But I have gone over hills and rocks and steep slopes and everything in this car and not once has it ever failed.

I just bought this from a dealer for gas savings and family purpose. I have not a chance to do anything to it yet but only to drive it. So far, its been an excellent ride. Ill be replacing all the fluids out of it and if needed give it a tune up. Ill be back for second review maybe after six months or so.

No worries. Replaced tires and brakes, oil and windshield washer fluid ... and of course gasoline. Thats it. Like Timex, it just keeps on ticking. My husband wants me to get a new car, but I love my CR-V and dont want to change!

Runs well, always starts, easy to work on, drivers side window motor failed after a few years, otherwise no problems except the A/C compressor self-destructed this summer (2007) and contaminated the entire HVAC system. Dealer wants $3200 to replace everything. I disconnected the drive belt instead. We are seeing much better fuel mileage since then.

No 8 off the production line for year 2000. Got it in Dec 1999. We had our first repair at 145,000, the hydraulic shifter, its a stick shift. Runs great and we are at 155,000+ now. Seat fits my wife fine but a little small for me though we both can drive despite the difference in height. It is noisy, but the best vehicle We have ever had. The all wheel drive is a big plus. typically get 24-25 miles to the gallon.

The CRV is a fairly comfortable car. Not bad to look at. Comfortable interior. Gas mileage is also decent (24-25mph). Thats about where it ends. The all-wheel drive chews up tires, the dinky 4 cylinder engine barely pulls a gentle hill. There is a problem with the stock radiator that caused the engine to run consistently hot (not indicated by the gauge)which led to almost $3000 in repairs. Honda parts are spendy!

Very good, dependable car. Great gas mileage and very roomy. would highly recommend for a small family or single person.

I love my Honda CRV. I have driven two types of vehicles my entire life. The Honda is and always has been the most comfortable, safest, dependable.

I purchased this as my first car and its fantastic. The 5-speed was one of its major selling points for me but the excellent quality and safety record were important to my parents. I have had no problems with this car thus far, even with 85k miles on it. The car isnt blazingly fast but the 5-speed makes it fun to drive anyway. I agree that it needs more power though, if the engine is under 3500 rpm, good luck moving with any ounce of agility. The only other downfall is the goofy auto-window switch placement. Its right on the dash hard to get used to. Overall the car is excellent and very roomy, even for my 65" body and my equally large friends. Kudos to Honda for the large backseat.

My CR-V is now 6 years old and I have been very satisfied with its performance. Routine maintenance is all that has been required, except when I was rear-ended. Thankfully, after a rear bumper and the crumpled exhaust system was replaced, it was fine.
