  • Great little driver - 2004 Honda CR-V
    By -

This a great vehicle. I have owned it only for 5 months and have just hit the 15000 mile mark. Bought it certified used with only 11124 miles on it. Love the AWD system. Can really feel the difference in the rain. Wish the driver seat would just give a little more behind the wheel. Not crazy about the small gas tank..only 15gals..makes a big difference..getting 21 mpg in the city. A little disappointed in the lack of engine power with the a/c on..having to run premium fuel in the summer.. But over all...man I love it!...

  • THE Small SUV - 2004 Honda CR-V
    By -

Ive had this CR-V for two and a half weeks and actively seek out trips to take and errands to run. Its that much fun to drive. In my opinion its sets the bar for its class. I poured over ALOT of research before this purchase. Low road noise, good engine pickup, roomy and lots of room for big items and that great Honda reliability and re-sale value. Try it yourself!

  • Great CAr, but needs bigger gas tank - 2004 Honda CR-V
    By -

After 2500+ miles a two long trips I love my new CRV. I am 63" and have no problem driving the CRV for 3+ hours without stopping. The trunk just swallows up luggage and the storage under the picnic table is great! The only complaint is the small gas tank that is only good for about 300 miles.

  • Great value - 2004 Honda CR-V

Unbelievably roomy - feels much bigger than it is. Plenty of cargo room and a very stable ride thanks to independent suspensions. Even on the LX, theres a few more bells & whistles than what youll really need. If Honda can keep the design and the weight balanced correctly for a CR-V Hybrid, without sacrificing its performance, bring it on!

  • Three problems - 2004 Honda CR-V
    By -

This is my third Honda. Ive been surprised at the decline in quality. 1) Increasing number of rattles (still under 6,000 miles). 2) Extremely uncomfortable front seats - cannot use for commuting or long trips. 3) The "fire issue" - my first oil change at the dealer resulted in a "double- gasket", an oil leak, and smoke (but no fire, thankfully)

  • Smartest Buy In Its Class - 2004 Honda CR-V
    By -

I thought long & hard before purchasing my CR-V. Other models considered were the Tribute, Liberty, Sorento, and RAV- 4. Along with Toyota, Honda has superior reliability in this class. My CR-V has the perfect balance of what I need in a vehicle - high build quality, excellent drivability, AWD when I need it, good looks, and a spacious interior. Power could be better, but the VTEC makes the most out of what the CR-V has. Weaknesses? Stock tires are junk. Radio is weak in performance and reception. Auto trans selector is located right behind windshield wiper controls, causing the grabbing of wrong controls at times. Gas mileage is not as advertised.

  • Reliable, Solid, but not comfortable - 2004 Honda CR-V
    By -

I really like how well this car performs and how solid it feels. Superb fuel economy, solid engine, trans... BUT, its not really comfortable. The seats are hard and awkward. Honda needs to put more foam in those seats.

  • My new SUV!!!! :) - 2004 Honda CR-V
    By -

Although it is an almost perfectly comfortable drive for the driver (some things could be changed), it could definitely be more comfortable for the front passenger. The seats in front do not go back far enough for us long- legged folks, and the arm rests are not long enough to be of any use. The backseat passengers have more comfort though and like the fact that the seats are adjustable.

  • i would buy another one - 2004 Honda CR-V

i like my crv alot, use to drive a civic and hated it . but the crv is alot better car ,only bad things i have noticed is tire wear isnt that great and gas mileage is no where near what they say

  • Great Choice for First Car - 2004 Honda CR-V
    By -

This is the first car I ever bought myself and Ive been VERY happy with it for the past year, racking up almsot 20K miles. The engine is powerful enough for a 60 mile round-trip daily commute on the DC Beltway & I-95, but not so powerful that it gives you poor gas milage (I get 26/27 mpg). There is no need for a V6 with this car, despite what other reviews say. Its a nice size, handles well, and is easy to park -- no problems getting into a space in any lot, garage, or street location. Its a great commuter car and road trip car rolled into one. Safety features are great, and it was certainly worth upgrading to the EX to get them.
