  • MY THIRD HONDA - 2003 Honda CR-V

HAPPY WITH THE OVERALL PERFORMANCE OF THE CRV. BUT THERE ARE SOME THINGS THAT I DONT LIKE VERY MUCH. THE MIDDLE BACK HEADREST IS TO LARGE AND IT MAKES IT DIFFICULT TO SEE OUT THE REARVIEW MIRROR. WHEN YOU APPLY THE BRAKES FOR THE FIRST TIME AFTER STARTING THE CAR, THE BRAKES MAKE A LOUD CLUNKING NOISE ON FRONT END.

I went form a sportscar to this car because of a need for room and fuel economy. I have both in a great car that rides like a car. I have all the room I need to transport the stuff I require for work and play. I love the fact i can see what is going on too! It sits just high enough but I dont feel like I take up the whole road. I do wish the fuel economy was better.

Was looking at getting a Ford Escape until I test drove the CR-V. Build quality, wind noise, fuel economy, interior layout and price all favored the CR-V. Decent power and better gas mileage than the 3.0L V6 in the Escape. After 3200 miles my mileage in mixed driving is up to 25 MPG. Sound system: The speakers look like paper plates with refrigerator magnets stuck to them. Putting in decent speakers involves fabricating new brakets from scratch. Reccomend hondasuv.com and hondacr-v.org for instructions and hints/tips on adding accessories. This is my first Honda and, based on my impressions so far, it wont be my last.

I think the Honda CR-V is a great little SUV, it drives comfortable, with a hip sporty look, not to mention plenty of room for family and cargo. I am enjoying it tremendously.

  • worth every penny - 2003 Honda CR-V

We were in the market for a midsize to large sedan and were considering the Toyota Avalon, Camry, and Honda Accord, but passenger comfort just wasnt quite up to par. Not enough leg room in the back or an annoying center hump kept us from buying. Then we looked at the 2003 CR-V, sat in the back (all 3 of us) and we were impressed! The CR-V has as much leg room as the Avalon, which is 4 inches more than the Camry or Honda, and the person in the center can really stretch out. Very comfortable, decent gas mileage, powerful engine, and great handling (even for an SUV)..Very happy!

This is my secound suv the first being a Subaru Foresster. Both were bought not for off roading but for safety in driving during in our NH winters. Both suv had and has all wheel drive so we do not have to but it 4 wheel drive.I purchase the honda this time because of first, hondas reputation, I thought it was sportier than the foresster and also roomier than the subaru. Also for the money the Honda was a better value. I purchased the EX model and I am extremly pleased with all of its features and performances.

Assembled in Great Britain first strike worse car for repairs I ever had . 5 warrantee recalls for cables ignition key cant remember them all. 3 throttle bodies replaced, and a/c under warrantee so no cost, in az. U need a/c. Bought it primarily to tow behind rv ,for that it was great . Mileage good acceleration so,so. Kind of a slug. Still have it after 13 years so all the problems were tollererable . And will get another one its perfect for my wife. had the o-2 sensor replaced car running like new . a/c struggling in the 100+ heat in az.

  • GREAT OVERALL PICK! - 2003 Honda CR-V

We initially looked at the CRV more than a year ago. We were all but decided to purchase a Ford Escape but decided to test drive the CRV. It has less fun stuff than the top model Ford Escape BUT it did bring the cost down from what we were looking at. Cant beat the Honda Quality and the engine is very peppy for a 4 cylinder. OH, and the gas mileage is better than the Escape which would have added to the price of the vehicle in the long run! GREAT all weather vehicle for a small family and does not have the "minivan soccer mom" stigma going for it.
