Although I love my 2002 CRV, I am quickly losing faith in my purchase. I grew up in a Honda family. Since purchasing my car I have been having many reliability issues with it. I have had the brake rotor replaced (about 2 months after purchase), the catalytic converter replaced, and it is now in the shop to replace the entire ABS system. I love my car, but I hope this is the last maintenance issue with it. Thank God for my warranty, now if Honda can just give my back my time and restore my faith in Honda, the brand I love to drive.

I purchased my 02 Honda when the 03s started coming out. I still paid MSRP, though because at the time it was a sellers market for the CR-V. This vehicle is perfect for us. Decent gas mileage; decent pep; great crash test results; good features and outstanding reliability made this a simple choice.

  • Great ECONO SUV bargain! - 2003 Honda CR-V

Great handling, great build quality, beautiful engine. Standard equipment list with the EX is extensive including 4 wheel disc brakes w/ABS, Side airbags, PW, AC, PDL, Tilt, CC, Moonroof, Alarm, CD changer, etc... and THESE THINGS ARE A GREAT BARGAIN! SUV is large enough for most use. CR- Vs are more than adequate for the snowy mess we get up in the mountain passes sometimes. You need studs for black-ice however (true of any vehicle 4x4 or not). Most Honda dealers (in Seattle) did not want to discuss discounts, but I went over the border to Griffiths in The Dalles, Oregon, and got a great deal.

  • Incredible Car - 2003 Honda CR-V

I test drove the RAV4, Escape, and Tribute and the CR-V was the best of the lot. Great mileage for an SUV, very reliable, looks good, smooth ride, and fun to drive. Go for the manual over the automatic if possible.

i love the way the cr-v feels almost as if i am driving a car, not an suv. the vehicle has a very roomy interior.

  • Cannot be beat for the bucks - 2003 Honda CR-V

I bought this for my son. I now feel like driving my 11-MPG, overpriced, and already highly depreciated Escalade into a lake and getting a V for myself. Actuallly, I wish I had just bought two CRVs in the first place. Pound for pound, its pretty tough to find a better value.

What fun to drive. Rugged yet plush enough to look sharp. Spunky for a 4 cylinder. I have put it to good use and it even pulled a rental trailer very well. Lovin it since purchase 8 mo. ago.

when my mom first bought this vehicle we were, and still are, impressed about the quality build, makes you feel like driving a pilot or accord, and the taut suspension. it is a nimble car based suv that will give rav4 buyers in awe as you stomp on the accelerator. this is one of the better car based suv with high content and good quality backed up by one of the best car companies out there.

  • Honda CRV Handling - 2003 Honda CR-V

The vehicle was very functional. The interior extremely well designed, materials excellent. The one major draw back is the handling. The least amount of moisture on the road the tires do not grip and spin from a stop. Also the care has a pronounced pull to the right when accelerating from a stop.

Hondas are sometimes derided for being like washing machines: they work all of the time, do their job, but dont give you a lot in terms of excitement. The CRV is a little like that, and while car repairs and quirky gimmicks are exciting, they may not be desireable anyway. One thing I would like to note about the CRV: While the CRV has a four cylinder, it is by far and away the BEST for cylinder available. If youre looking for something with more punch, there really isnt anything else out there. A test drive of the Tribute/Escape six will prove this. The CRV pulls very hard straight from idle.
