This Year's Model Updates:

The 2007 Honda CR-V is completely redesigned. It hasn't grown in size, power or seating capacity, but thanks to Honda's attention to detail, this small SUV is way up in practicality and refinement.

Pros:
  • Thoughtfully designed cabin with numerous family-friendly touches, high-quality interior materials, comfortable and quiet ride, agile handling.
Cons:
  • Could use more power for passing at highway speeds.

  • Up-Scale Design, Affordable - 2007 Honda CR-V

My wife and I just purchased this CRV after doing our homework. Turns out that this one is affordable and best outfitted in its class. I really liked the 5 speed trans, and the upscale interior. My wife loves the design and the way it drives.

I love my Cr-v, but I dont get the gas mileage as I thought I would. I only get around 20 miles to the gallon and that is city and highway driving. I love the way it handles, it is just fun to drive. My last car was a Ford Explorer. The honda is so much more fun to drive! Honda should have the headlights go on by themselves and have lights in the vanity mirrors.

  • Another great Honda - 2007 Honda CR-V

We havent had a Honda for a while - last one was a Civic in the 90s. I loved it then and I think the CRV will be even better. We bought the car as a dinghy for our motorhome as it is one of only a few cars that can be towed 4 down without mods. It was recommended by my motorhome friends. I am surprised at how nice and fun it is to drive around the city. I am averaging 27-28 MPG with careful driving - mostly highway on my SoCal commute. Its too new to comment on the AWD but next year we retire back to the land of ice and snow in Canada.

  • Car for college - 2007 Honda CR-V

Bought this car for my daughter to take to college in the mountain west. AWD gives me confidence that she will be able to get around safely. Also the ground clearance is excellent for weather worn roads and the occasional pot hole or low dips. Reliability is solid on Honda. The car is 10 years old now and not a squeak or rattle to be found, and the engine is smooth running and strong. Great car for our needs.

  • They make it simply...marvelous - 2007 Honda CR-V

Looking for a roomy (interior), compact (exterior),high gas mileage, low maintenace, low insurance (5-star) vehicle that can compete with the luxury brands for just over half the price? This is it. Honestly, I wasnt expecting much with a compact Crossover, but everyone comments on how nice the this vehicle is. How upscale it looks...Weve put 3k miles on it in the last month going across the midwest and back. Excellent travel vehicle with 4 adults and all the luggage. Drives like a sedan,(better visability),hauls like a minivan...amazing. We did all the research everyone else did. We went with the CR-V. No regrets at all. Another outstanding effort by Honda.

I have only owned it a week and love how it drives--so smooth, quiet, responsive. Cant comment on mpg yet. I like the shelf in the back versus a privacy screen that rolls. Very good looking vehicle too. I waited for this new model to come out. My daughter owns a 2004 CRV which she loves but now she is in love with mine, especially the young, sporty look, the better radio sound the 6-CD changer and the moon roof. I was also comparing the CRV to RAV4 and chose the CRV due to the new styling, big door handles inside, and hatchback. I didnt need the moon roof and would prefer back-up sensors, automatic headlights, automatic soft closing of hatch. Still it is great value for the money!

  • well built reliable vehicle - 2007 Honda CR-V

having tested Lexus, Toyota, Volkswagen, Subaru, & Volvo, this little Honda, dollar for dollar seems a wonderful buy, took it for a ride in the Poconos- it performed very well. no its not a corvette but it runs on regular gas and is comfortable for the family and it seems well built, with thoughtful extras, not electronic junk that might not last for 100k miles. the rear seat configurations have been well thought out with plenty of room in the back

  • Could be built better, 06 was Excellent! - 2007 Honda CR-V

The 2007 CRV is great on performance and driving. It is smooth and quiet. The build quality is lacking and just by looking through the CRV you can see where Honda has cut corners to save on costs which makes the CRV look cheaper. This is definitely a SUV that is made for soccer moms and women in their 30s. The carpeting and plastic looks cheap and after about a year will wear out unlike the real carpet and plastic from the 2nd generation. Ive own this CRV for a week now and wish I could have my 2006 CRV back.I feel the older CRVs will outlast this model.
