  • Excellent SUV - 2002 Honda CR-V

Upon researching all the available midsize & small SUVs on the market for 3 months, I finally came upon this little jewel. I didnt consider it at first, because I had seen the older models on the road and didnt like the way they looked; it looked too small. I discovered that the 2002 models were redesigned on a Friday, test drove it on the following Monday, and purchased it on Tuesday. I have no regrets with my purchase.

This car is just unbelievable! Ive had 8 cars in the last 10 years and this car is just a dream! It steers like a compact car allowing u turns with ease. It speeds up to allow you to get in the fast lane without making others slow down for you. I mean its just sooo awesome. It rides QUIET and smooth. It is built with creation and safety in mind and it shows. Dont let the odd location of the gear scare you!! :) Patti the best Realtor in S. Fl.!!

  • From an Accord to a CRV - 2002 Honda CR-V
    By -

Got a 2002 5 speed EX, traded in a 97 Accord. I wanted something bigger, higher, sportier & more flexible than my Accord. The CRV has the power and size to be a step up from my boring old Accord; the 2001 CRV was lacking. I am happy with everything. The 5 speed is fun (also eliminates any complaints about the dash shifter), plenty of perk & all the gadgets exceed my expecations. I paid sticker & waited 3 weeks. A lot of truck/car for $22,000!

  • Jack of All Trades - 2002 Honda CR-V

This vehicle seems to do it all. It has the cargo room of a larger SUV, but drives and feels like a car--really! After 2 weeks with the CR-V, this mini-ute truly exudes a solid, well crafted feel. The quality of the materials and parts are evident as well as the excellent engineering. There is a reason why Honda does not have to advertise their superb quality...everyone knows it after driving any Honda. Like Edmunds.com states, "Drive it, youll like it."

  • Honda CR-V EX - 2002 Honda CR-V

We bought the Honda CR-V for the Honda reputation for quality. Basicallly we are satisfied with the car so far. We have been experiencing a problem with the check engine light coming on quite frequently. So far the problem hasnt been resolved by the dealer. I hope it isnt an ongoing problem.

  • Awesome and 100% Better than pre-2002 s - 2002 Honda CR-V
    By -

My husband and I awaited the release of the bigger, more powered 2002 CRV, as our 99 was underpowered and shifted way too poorly for our mountain living. The 2002 shifts like a gem, little if any transmission noise. Interior is much more comfortable and intuite, although the auto shifter takes a bit getting used to. All the Honda reliability, unique features and great mielage for an SUV. We are very happy with this buy.

  • Reliable w/ very good gas mileage - 2002 Honda CR-V
    By -

I purchased my first Honda a little over a year ago. It has been very reliable, gets good gas mileage and is fun to drive. Power is a little weak with the 4cyl engine even with a manual stick. The interior is roomy for four adults and thats about it. Engine is a bit noisey on the highway. I feel safe operating this vehicle. Its not so high off the ground that you need a ladder but the view does improve operating safety I believe.

  • Blizzard of 2003 Report - 2002 Honda CR-V

We traded our 98 Cherokee in this summer. On Feb 15-17 2003 we got over 3 feet of snow and my first thought was "wish I had my Jeep back." Wrong. The CRV jumped snow banks without hesitation. We also took it to Cape Cod this summer and packed it so full of junk, we NEVER could have made the trip in the Cherokee. Weve had ZERO problems with the car.

  • Great little SUV - 2002 Honda CR-V

Honda did a great job with the exterior and interior of this SUV. I get 25 mpg which was not bad in 2002.

  • Its the one to get... - 2002 Honda CR-V
    By -

Comfortable, peppy, roomy. Easy to park, good gas mileage, and Hondas legendary reliability. What more could you ask for? The 4-spd auto works very well with the 2.4 liter inline-4, and the i-VTEC makes up for the fact that it doesnt have a V6.
