  • Got this for Safety Reasons - 2003 Honda CR-V

I got this suv because of the safety rating. I like it OK, but, I cant stand the back door that opens to the side. It has no catch, so if you are parked on any type of incline the door slams shut on you or anything in its way. The inside is comfortable, but, the rug is already coming up. I have had a maint. req. light and the car has had 2 recalls that it has had to go into the shop for. I do like the comfort in the back since my passengers are fairly tall and they say it is spacious. Also I was tapped at very low speed (less than 5 miles per hour) and a huge hole was placed in the bumper. So much for safety!

  • All around Excellent SUV - 2003 Honda CR-V

Ive never been disappointed with a Honda before, and this vehicle is no exception. Even though its larger than most cars Ive purchased, it has extremely responsive handling and is quite fun to drive. The back seats fold up to hold all sorts of large cargo loads and still handles well fully loaded. We had an optional trailer hitch put on to tow our kayaks, but have not yet purchased a trailer. Hope it will tow nicely too. All in all, a very comforable vehicle to drive.

  • You Must Consider the CRV! - 2003 Honda CR-V

Ive put about 3000 miles on my CRV and I love it. I havent had any problems. Its bigger than the old model, and can comfortably seat five adults. The cargo space is big when the seats are folded down. Its fun to drive with acceleration much better than I expected. Fuel economy could be better, but Ill give it more time. This car has a lot of features that make in comfortable to drive, there was a lot of thought put into this vehicle. Plus it has the insurance institues highest safety rating. My only problem is visibility. I think the rear pillars interfere with the view occasionally. Not a major problem though.

  • Reliable light car with the space of an SUV - 2003 Honda CR-V

My CRV is going strong at over 143,000 miles and is great for city/suburb driving and commute, moving lots of stuff or large items, and the occasional camping or road trip. Engine/transmission and electrical are very reliable but acceleration is starting to drag a little bit, and the door lock actuator is broken (as in other reviews). But I have done all regular maintenance and major services like brake replacements, and the car is fine. Its easy to park and fits lots of stuff with fold-down seats. The seats arent plush, but the interior is roomy and practical with good driving visibility if you remove the rear headrests. Roof rack has come in handy. Reasonably safe, although you wouldnt want to be in a side-crash as many vehicles are larger/heaver than this. Feels like a light car with the space of an SUV. Paint and finish have held up perfectly.

  • Pleased CR-V Buyer - 2003 Honda CR-V

I needed a second car that would have more cargo room than my old sedan, good enough gas mileage to commute in, able to get through the occasional snow storm (4WD), and enough power not to get blown off the road. The CR-V fit the bill on all accounts. Very impressed by the 4cyl performance, this car is flat out fun to drive and does not seem lacking in power in any situation. Interior is well thought out and stylish; seats are fairly comfortable, although I could use more legroom in the front. The ride is smooth, and fairly quiet for an SUV.Combine that with typical Honda reliability, and itÂ’s a no-brainer when compared with the Santa Fe and Rav4.

  • 2nd t ime around - 2003 Honda CR-V

Bought my first CRV in 2001 when my car was flooded in parking lot during a tropical storm. Never owed an SUV. Was impressed with the CR-V and the salesman and dealership. Decided to buy another. Went back to same salesman, dealership and said...lets deal! First time I ever bought the same vehicle a second time. Now I think I am hooked!

  • I love my car!! - 2003 Honda CR-V

Weve had our CR-V since July and thouroughly enjoy it! The pep it has does not feel like a 4 cylinder. No difference in performance with air conditioner/heater running. Much easier to get around town with than the 93 Taurus we had. We are sure it will handle much better than our Suburban when the snow flies. Fun to drive, great gas milage.....smooth and comfortable all the way!

  • problems with my CRV - 2003 Honda CR-V

Great car. However, some problems came up. On the first week, I have to changed 1 brake rotor, realign door panel, and get a missing door handle component. Currently, after 4 months, the side airbag light keeps coming on and off.
