  • Beware of vibration and harshness - 2015 Honda CR-V
    By -

I bought a new 2015 CRV from an Ohio But, after having driven it several hundred miles, here is what I am finding: 1) Vibrations from the power train are moderate to severe, after the engine is warmed up (actually, I suspect after transmission fluid is warmed up, and is less viscous, and less able to dampen engine vibes); 2) When at a stop, with foot on brake, and idling, in DRIVE, vibrations shake the steering wheel, floor, and both front seats. If you drive this car for more than 5-10 minutes in stop and go traffic, it is indeed fatiguing ! 3) Very prevalent vibes around 2000 RPM under load (feels like a rumble strip). DO NOT buy until Honda has a fix !

  • Vibration-Free 2015 EXL/Nav - 2015 Honda CR-V

Ive only put 200 miles on my Honda. So far, I am delighted with my purchase. Also, so far, Ive not noted ANY vibration issues that MANY others have noted in their reviews. I find this to be a comfortable car to drive, both in short urban trips and hour long highway cruising. I like the way the power steering is very light for low speed operations, but it stiffens up at speed, making for a very stable cruising machine. So far, averaging 31 mpg with mostly highway driving at 65 mph. This is my first CVT car. So far, I see no difference in how it operates compared to a conventional automatic transmission.

  • CVT vibration problem with most cars! - 2015 Honda CR-V

I love my CRV and dont blame Honda. For who has a vibration issue heres why its your CVT transmission causing the problem, most not all cars have this vibration issue its just the way the CVT is and will always be. Continuously variable automatic transmissions (CVTs)—often considered the uninspiring alternatives—keep the engine in its sweet spot for acceleration (or fuel-efficiency) but often to the detriment of noise and vibrations, leading to complaints of a disconnected, motorboating feeling when accelerating—in which the note of the engine isnt connected to a sensation of speed. At their worst, CVT transmissions can feel sluggish, or as if something is uncertain or slipping.

  • Great Car for Both Hauling and Running Errands - 2015 Honda CR-V

Performs well. Easy to operate, good acceleration and braking. Excellent cargo space and very comfortable seats. Look is really nice and handles well. It lacks the blind spot blinkers and audible warnings but includes a camera for passenger side blindspots. That helps but can also be distracting. Doesnt allow voice commands for audio and navigation but does for phones. Good lane monitoring system, collision, variable cruise control and braking.

  • 2015 Honda CRV transmission issue - 2015 Honda CR-V

We did an thorough research of small SUVs before buying the 2015 Honda CRV. Test drove it at two different dealerships. We did not test drive the one purchased (salesman said the one delivered would drive the same). The 2015 Honda CRV we purchased shudders significantly when accelerating. It makes for a rough ride and will impact resale. It is now in the Honda service department. They said: 1) There is a transmission problem the 2015 CRVs. Honda is aware but doesnt have a fix. 2) They did mentioned a software “Patch” yesterday but retracted that comment today. 3) They dont know what else to tell me. The transmission problem is an unacceptable material defect.

  • New car needs new transmission in 1 year! Beware! - 2015 Honda CR-V
    By -

I bought my 2015 CRV last year and immediately had difficulty with the vehicle shuddering and then stalling. Now a year later, the transmission has been replaced, but the experience has been horrible. I had to call Honda corporate and have a case manager because the repairs, even though they were all under warranty, took more than a week to get approved before they could even order parts or begin repairing it. I was without my car for all of that time, and they wouldnt approve a rental because they said the car was drivable. ( I did finally get a rental, but only for the last 2 of 10 days) If the car needs a new transmission, how it that considered drivable and safe? 10 days later I had my CRV back, and I immediately took it to another dealer and traded it in. I have lost confidence in Honda products and in their service department. I have always owned Hondas, but never again.

  • Buyer Beware - 2015 Honda CR-V

Terrible vibration at idle. Rough riding almost as good as a pickup truck with bad springs. The vibration cancels out any good features of this care so please read all the negative reviews and test drive when fully warmed up. This is the worst Honda ever.

  • 2015 CR-V Vibration/Shudder Issues - 2015 Honda CR-V
    By -

This is our familys 6th Honda. I am quite sure that if Honda does not come up with a fix for this terrible vibration issue it will be our last ! All, I repeat all the new "So called SUVs of the year" have this problem. At idle around 500 to 600 rpms. Then again at 1100 rpms. And again at 2200 rpms ! The rpm range that you use to run around town. On the highway it seems to do well. Please , when you test drive one make sure the vehicle is warmed up and take a service tech with you. Do not just drive around the block ! Go out for 20 minutes. Also , this wonderful new CVT makes a high pitched whining noise as you are descending a steep hill. We are very disappointed with this purchase.

  • honda odometer problems - 2015 Honda CR-V
    By -

I took my first trip in my new 2015 Honda EX-L CRV. The odometer is high by almost 3 percent. Seems like Honda is repeating their 2006 odometer problem. Is this how honda improves the gas mileage? 3 % of 31 MPG is 30 MPG.
