  • Almost bought a RAV4 - 2002 Honda CR-V

I had a Toyota Camry but wanted something with a little higher profile so decided on a RAV4-couldnt make a deal though so I checked out the competition and discovered the CR-V, which is roomier and has more standard features than the RAV4. Im so glad I checked it out. Its got a peppy 4cyl engine that likes to go and a smoother ride than I was expecting from an SUV- its not trucklike at all. I loved my Camry for its smooth, quiet ride and this vehicle is not comparable in those areas but it is more fun to drive.

Having a Honda name is what lead me to test drive the CR-V. After doing extensive research on Honda and the CR- V, it is how I came to my final decision. The SUV handles shockingly well in icy or snowy conditions. I was amazed after the amount of snow fall we had last winter, how well this vehicle handled. Its almost like driving a car. I would (and have) recommended the CR-V to anyone. Its an excellent vehicle overall. Well worth the money. Everything you can possible want comes standard in it. I will definitely purchase another CR-V for my next vehicle in years to come.

  • My 2nd Honda... - 2002 Honda CR-V

The fake dead-pedal is poorly designed for your clutch-foot. The EX manual has no armrest in front! The stereo is too far away for anyone shorter than an NBA star - changing CD tracks requires you lean over as if you are getting something out of the glove box. The front seats could use more bolstering. The carpet is awfully cheap. The headliner rattles. The power windows on the CR-V wont operate in the auxiliary key positions. I’ve experienced some torque steer under high-powered starts. The stereo needs more power. The tailgate is rather unwieldy.

I love my CRV. I only had 1 problem with the rotars on my brakes that needed to be replaced. I had to wait almost a week for replacemnts! Other than that every that drives my car loves it.

Our experience with the 2002 Honda CRV has been amazing. The CRV has a very solid feel about it, build quality is outstanding. It has plenty of power to merge with traffic & can hum right along at 70 mph. The CRV can make turns that are nearly 90 degrees from a stop with a quick turn of the wheel. The interior space of the CRV is cavernous. We hauled a large dryer after folding up the rear seats and a recliner in back WITHOUT folding them up. The front 3 cup holders can all handle McDonalds Supersized sodas. This dependable little bugger fits in perfectly for most families & wont break the bank with a top price under $23k. This is by far the best of the bunch in the Mini-Ute Class.

  • Typical Honda Quality (The Best) - 2002 Honda CR-V

This is one solid vehicle. The 4 cylinder 160 HP engine has great low end power, and it is faster then the Ford Escapes V6 model. The engine is very smooth, very quiet, and very refined. It pulls 1,500 lbs trailer like it was nothing. The auto transmission shifts smooth as silk. The build quality is fantastic, and you can tell the engineers put lots of thought and imagination into designing the interior.

  • Cool Car--Car salesman Sucks! - 2002 Honda CR-V

I liked the car overall. I did not purchase it though unfortunately because the dealer lied to us about the price all the way up until we were about to sign the contract, by an amount of nearly $2000.00. Luckily, I found it while getting ready to sign the final contract. I kept asking to see the price that I was being offered for my trade in and they said, "no problem, your trade in will be at that price or more." This was a LIE! Just a reminder to anyone out there--be sure that you like your carsalesman or woman from the beginning. If you do not, dont hestitate to switch.

  • 2002 Honda CR-V is much improved! - 2002 Honda CR-V

The 2002 Honda CR-V has been improved in every area that was lacking in the previous model. Engine has more power, transmission shifts smoothly, seats have great support, ride is not bumpy, power window buttons located on doors. The three dial climate controls are easy to see and use. Every button and is easy to reach without distraction. Rear seats fold up in a snap to add cargo room and head rests no longer need to be removed. Better sound proofing for quite ride. Excellent dash compartments to store things. Over all body stiffness is gone from old CR-V. Less rattles, aerodynamic doors and body. Im getting 24 mpg city/highway combined.
