Smartest Buy In Its Class - 2004 Honda CR-V
By Neal - September 30 - 2:00 amI thought long & hard before purchasing my CR-V. Other models considered were the Tribute, Liberty, Sorento, and RAV- 4. Along with Toyota, Honda has superior reliability in this class. My CR-V has the perfect balance of what I need in a vehicle - high build quality, excellent drivability, AWD when I need it, good looks, and a spacious interior. Power could be better, but the VTEC makes the most out of what the CR-V has. Weaknesses? Stock tires are junk. Radio is weak in performance and reception. Auto trans selector is located right behind windshield wiper controls, causing the grabbing of wrong controls at times. Gas mileage is not as advertised.

Beware before buying - 2004 Honda CR-V
By HappyFrog - September 13 - 10:00 amI owned a prior CRV and I was disappointed to see that this CRV was lower then my 1998 one was. I have knocked off the CA fuel can for SMOG emissions 3 times now. I have also hit the fuel tank on the CRV with rocks and scraped it going over the same kind of terrian that I took my 1998 CRV. Honda informed me that this CRV was not to be driven on dirt roads or sand, yet they have ads showing this. Even recently I have seen a Honda CRV being driven on the beach (this is not reality). Dont plan on buying this car if you live on a dirt road, it is about as low as a regular car. On the Highway and streets it performs well.

Honda CR-V - 2004 Honda CR-V
By Robert Wendel - August 18 - 2:00 amThe Cr-V is fun to drive...tight and very responsive to the road. Quality is evident throughout. The rear is easily accessible and plenty big for hauling items from general shopping errands to small household projects.

Reliable, Solid, but not comfortable - 2004 Honda CR-V
By Alex K - August 18 - 2:00 amI really like how well this car performs and how solid it feels. Superb fuel economy, solid engine, trans... BUT, its not really comfortable. The seats are hard and awkward. Honda needs to put more foam in those seats.

My new SUV!!!! :) - 2004 Honda CR-V
By Tori - August 7 - 10:00 amAlthough it is an almost perfectly comfortable drive for the driver (some things could be changed), it could definitely be more comfortable for the front passenger. The seats in front do not go back far enough for us long- legged folks, and the arm rests are not long enough to be of any use. The backseat passengers have more comfort though and like the fact that the seats are adjustable.
