We went from a 2011 Honda Civic that had elusive periodic issues with the ignition. We adore the CRV. Once in a while at a stop light I notice some vibrations, but nothing to get upset about. The back up camera, right side indicator/safety camera, dash, roomy size and the gas economy are fabulous. I was worried I would spend more in fuel costs, it has worked out exactly the same as the wee Civic, so I am very happy. The heater does take longer than I had hoped to warm, the wipers are somewhat awkward and washer continues to drip.. there is also a dead spot for the fluid, right at the passengers eye level-frustrating. We are also experiencing an exhaust smell in the cabin on vent.

  • Excellent car. - 2015 Honda CR-V

Great car; comfortable, not one problem of any sort. It has plenty of room and everything on it works flawlessly. There is a small vibration when it idles for a while with all the accessories turned off. But its mild. I probably wouldnt have noticed it except for all the carrying-on. If I turn up the fan on the ac just a tad or use the headlights or anything that nudges the rpm up a bit, it goes away. But why bother? Its a non-issue. What is an issue is that this is a great car that runs perfectly, never gives a problem and is a pleasure to drive, both in the city and on the highway. My gas mileage is consistently better than advertised, but then I dont slam it around, either. I consistently get around 30-32 mpg in city driving. I have zero complaints about my CR-V and plan to drive it until the wheels fall off. Then, Ill probably buy another one.

In October 2014, we traded our 2013 CRV EX-L AWD for a 2015 (same model). What a mistake. The CVT is awful. It shifts constantly (up hill, down hill, flat terrain), its loud (can hear it when the radio is on), and it doesnt have any get up and go unless you put the pedal to the metal. The gas pedal is also difficult to regulate due to the constant shifting of the transmission. Before buying a 2015, PLEASE test drive for several miles and take it up some hills. Ask the sales person to remain quiet. Listen to and feel the engine. Id only recommend this car for long commutes/thruway/freeway driving, not for shorter commutes.

  • Issues with Transmission - 2015 Honda CR-V

When driving down hill and braking the car excellerates. From 2200 rpm to 3000 rpm . It is scary I will bring mine in for service but from what Ive heard at other websites the dealers adjustments do little or nothing and the gas consumption goes up. Honda must address this issue with possible replacement of all these transmissions. Can be dangerous

I love my new CRV. Roomy, comfortable and averaging 35.6 mpg on hey and 30 mpg in town. The vibration is noticeable but hey, its a lower idle on a CVT for efficiency of the gas. Ive own a 09 Toyota Corolla and a 2014 Nissan Sentra that both had CvT vibrations and shutters and stops. The options available in the EX is great, you cant beat the heated seats, sunroof, back up camera, lane watch. This car has enough power to pass and you will notice a smooth take off. I love this SUV and am planning some fun summer road trips!

  • Worst Honda Ever - 2015 Honda CR-V

Ive had my car for exactly one week and I am completely disappointed. This is my third Honda and is my last Honda. Vibration and shuddering after it warmed up and really terrible at idle (stop on D). The vibration is very noticeable on passenger seat without passenger. The posted MPG is not true. The MPG from Honda website is 26 city/33 highway/28 combined mpg rating for AWD models. Currently mine is only 23.3 mpg combined (driving a little more city than highway). The heater is weak and has trouble keeping up in cold weather. The back seat takes very long time to get warm. This is really a problem for me because I have kids sitting in the back seat.

  • Honda Nation not holding up Warranty - 2015 Honda CR-V

My last 2 cars were a Toyota Tercel and a Toyota Camry- I love Elmore Toyota in Westmister- So, I decided I wanted an SUV and bought the Honda CRV- I love the car; however, after only having it for a little over a year, I am having problems---The windshield washer fluid depletes or stops working after a week of filling- They would not return my calls and I had to resort to writing a letter- Then they responded--I dropped it off and they are telling me there is no leak- Which I tested myself and already knew this- So, I asked if the reservoir was still filled with fluid- The Manager said he didnt know and I said well, if it isnt a leak, then maybe something is clogging it- he said they do not know so, come and pick up my car and whenever I come in, they will re-test it--Are you kidding me- They are returning my car to me without it being fixed and it is under warranty-they also had to order a motor for the apparatus that sets the door locks as this is now broke---I have never had problems with my Toyotas or experienced such bad customer service as with Honda Nation in Costa Mesa--The manager even said maybe I use the washer fluid too often- Really??? Are you kidding me- I dont know what to do so, maybe I will call BBB or Consumer Affairs-I am so disappointed because I love the car but, if things are breaking after only one year, what does the future hold- I do not trust them and will be getting a different car or a different dealer!!!

This is my wifes third CRV; quite frankly I cant get her to even look at anything else. However, we almost switched after reading all the vibration comments, but are glad that we didnt. Yes, their is SOMETIMES a vibration when sitting at a stop sign in drive, but you have to really concentrate to feel it. My wife uses it both as general transportation and as a work truck - we own a ranch and haul everything from feed to alpacas in the back. We drive it regularly in both city and expressway traffic and it performs like a champ. It feels very safe and secure at highway speeds and is very comfortable. My wife loves the gas mileage, as our other car is a Ford F-150.

  • Different -- and Im learning to like it - 2015 Honda CR-V

My wife really likes her 2013 CR-V, so the 2015 was on my short list when my ancient Saturn died. The biggest concern was the new CVT transmission, but after driving it for the better part of a month Ive pretty much gotten used to it. It certainly has a different feel, and for someone who has driven manual transmissions for 40 years, the mild vibration I get at low speeds reminds me of the "lugging" that would usually prompt me to downshift. But it didnt take long for me to get used to it, and now I hardly notice it. The car itself has been absolutely flawless; no problems whatsoever. Handling is even better than my wifes 2013.
