  • Not for off road driving - 2003 Honda CR-V

For most driving, we love our Honda CR- V. But we have had real trouble driving it on anything but paved roads. Both last summer and this summer we damaged the vapor recovery system (it hangs down under the rear axle) when we drove it on rough roads. We were not taking on particularly hairy roads but the CR-V really has no more ground clearance than a sedan. Not recommended for those that want a car to take to the mountains.

  • Perfect car for our new family - 2003 Honda CR-V

My wife and I just purchased a 2003 EX CRV automatic. My first though on this car (before test driving it) was that the four cylinder would be anemic. However, Ive found it to be fairly peppy and definately fast enough for us. There was more torque than I imagined it to have. The car handles well and the turning radius is excellent. Also, the interior build quality is spot on with plenty enough room for our new baby. All around its a great (small) family hauler. If our family gets larger, Ill look forward to getting a Pilot.

  • 2003 Silver CRV EX - 2003 Honda CR-V

Wanted to get away from the smaller car to a vehicle that had good all weather abilities(AWD), and had good enough gas mileage to commute to work in. The CRV came out on top to other Makes/Models.

  • Honda has lost another customer - 2003 Honda CR-V

three months off the truck, the transmission completely obliterated. Seemingly, endless recalls. Most recently, air bags. In the sixteen months that we have owned this vehicle we have experienced complete A/C failure, trouble switching gears, four recalls for potentially fatal mishaps. And of course the transmission that died on us on our drive back from vacation. Dont make the mistake we did.

  • Great Interstate/Suburban Blend - 2003 Honda CR-V

Eleven months ago I purchased a new 2003 FWD LX CR-V and have driven it 25,500 miles (Southern Florida, with two 4,600 mile trips North to Rockford Illinois.) A buzz caused by an AC line touching the fire wall was fixed free with one trip to the dealer. One rear tire blew out after 18,000 miles, else no problems. Driving: 80% turnpike (at 80 mph) and the rest is city/suburb. I will buy another one, Silver.

  • Disappointed - 2003 Honda CR-V

I love aspects of my CRV but it has had many problems for a new car. Ive always been faithful to Hondas but Im thinking of trading this one in for a Jeep.

  • Anti-SUV - 2003 Honda CR-V
    By -

I read all these reviews.. I wonder what people are thinking saying "add leather, paint the bumpers, navigation systems, etc." Adding fluff just adds to the price. The middle of SUV means utility.. its refreshing to see a real utilitarian vehicle. We have not seen them since the demise of the true Land Cruisers prior to 1990. I owned 2 and they were simplicity and quality. A work/play truck. This is no truck, but the general idea is there. Use it, thrash it, and have fun with it,knowing you didnt sell the farm or are selfishly depleting the enviroment and parking spaces.

  • Lovin It! - 2003 Honda CR-V

I love my crv. I thought it was going to be hard living without a 6 cyl, but the crv handles great!

  • I researched them all for a year - 2003 Honda CR-V

Very happy I did all the leg work driving all the other suvs. Price was right. It has everything I wanted: standard. The body styling is much better than years past. I want it all, but can not afford it, so this made me happy.
