  • Surprised - 2008 Honda CR-V

I was pleasantly surprised with the CR-V. I have been dying for the Nissan Murano, but at $11,000 more for almost identical features, I had to reconsider. I also considered the Honda Civic and Accord, and the Civic actually had a more high tech interior. Overall, though for the money, I got most everything I wanted, without a lot of hassle in different packages. They had the one I wanted at the dealer and I drove it home. I couldnt say the same for the Murano - as they wanted to add AFTER market stuff. The CR-V is easy to drive, fun to handle, I just drove it home and Im in love with the navigation, which I originally decided I could live without - but I was wrong - I love it!

I love this car. I cant believe that I own it. Ive had it for 2 months. It looks great. Mileage is averaging 18 miles. I do many short trips in stop and go. I havent been on a highway yet. I love the shine on my Glacier blue. I wish Honda offered a blue interior too. The only thing that didnt make me happy was the fact that I couldnt get a great deal . CR-Vs are very popular here.

Hard to judge built quality this early since my CRV is so new but so far not a single problem. The engine could use a little bit more power but no regrets. The fuel economy is decent for the type of vehicle and the big tank with an 87 octance is a relief. The interior is very comfortable and nicely put together. Before taking delivery Ive noticed a scratch in the shift level indicator. The dealership will replace under warranty. Hard to judge exterior design. Is no Alfa Romeo but not bad.

  • Best New Car Ive Ever Owned - 2008 Honda CR-V

Was going to buy a Honda Odyssey but with fuel prices they way they are I decided to go with the CR-V. Love the Green. Great family vehicle took the kids on a road trip and we had plenty of room, kids love the 6cd changer. Ive been getting 26-28 mpg around town. Hope to own this vehicle for a very long time.

  • Terrific - 2008 Honda CR-V

15,000 miles and hasnt needed any warranty work whatsoever! Terrific drive and very comfortable; decent visibility helped by height off ground. Enough oomph to not be frustrating. Up to 34 MPG at 55 - 60 MPH. In town I can average as low as 22 MPG when it involves very short trips (1 - 2 miles at a time) and you would think 25 MPG would be more the norm. However, when my in-town driving goes over 3 - 5 miles at a time, my average does go up to between. Too bad Honda does offer this wonderful car with a manual transmission. I test drove the Toyota RAV4, Subaru Forester and Mitsubishi Outlander. Honda is more comfortable and maintenance-free car.

  • Love the CR-V - 2008 Honda CR-V

After owning this car for three weeks, my wife and I are still looking for excuses to drive somewhere. I have no idea what the other review with the stiff steering wheel is about. This car has some of the lightest steering Ive ever driven. I test drove 4 competing brands and the only other I even considered was the Toyota RAV4 because the 4 cylinder had a little more power. The interior is laid out well, seats are comfy. The ride is a little stiff over expansion joints, but the trade off is excellent handling in corners. Averaging 23.5 mpg in city driving, 30-33 on the highway. I will say the sound system could be better. It just doesnt seem like I can get it adjusted right.

Ive had this CR-V for 3 months now. I have not had one disappointing moment. It drive just like a car. I dont have problems passing other cars or trucks. Ive been to NY and it gave me 28 miles to the gallon. Around the city I get 23 miles but the combo is 21/22. I totally love this car. This should have been the first car I purchase instead I went in the opposite direction and purchased a 2007 Dodge Caliber (one of the worst cars on the road).

  • Jeep Guy to a Honda Guy - 2008 Honda CR-V

I have owned a Jeep Wrangler for ten years and just purchased a 2008 Honda CR-V. This car drives like a Cadillac, nice and smooth and has lots of power. I am so impressed with the power. It has so much passing power. My CR-V is black with black leather seats. The interior is so classy and roomy. The sun-roof really opens things up and I love the shelf tray in the back. Lots of room when you fold the back seats up.

  • Great Value, Fun to Drive, Saves Gas $$ - 2008 Honda CR-V

I bought my 08 CR-V in 11/07, and have put 15,000 miles on it driving all over the country for work in the past six months. Ive driven in the mountains, on the prairies, in ice, snow, floods - just about every weather condition. It handles beautifully everywhere. The only area I feel some pressure on the engine is on hilly highways. The ride is great, not too soft and not too stiff, and I am just thrilled with the MPG. I average 29-33 highway and 24-28 city in all kinds of weather. The build quality is very good, love the power features, love the exterior looks. I would like to have fog lights and a longer armrest, but thats about it! Great vehicle for a fantastic price. Get it!
