  • Honda CRV-EXL vibrate during idle - 2015 Honda CR-V
    By -

Just picked up new 2015 Honda CRV EX-L few days and quickly figured out the problem that most people mention about the vibration during idle. When put on the brake at the stop sign or traffic light, driver can feel the vibration on the chair, steering wheel, some time the vibration is strong like having a massage on the back.

  • Im telling you, DONT DO IT! - 2015 Honda CR-V

I have had MAJOR problems with this vehicle and EXTREMELY poor support from Honda in getting it fixed. I bought this car in December by June, it had 3,000 miles on it and the a/c didnt work - in Texas - in the summertime. This was the first time I heard "it seems to be fine to me. Lets compare it to another 2015 CRV." I have heard that phrase EVERY SINGLE TIME I have taken this vehicle in for service. Each time I have replied "I dont need to compare it to another. I know how this car was performing X days ago and its not performing to that level today." Any, I am promptly dismissed. This exact scenario has taken place at EVERY dealership for EVERY service issue. And, the service issues have been many: the windshield wipers dont always work, the sound system works intermittently, the dashboard lights work sporadically, the windows leak, and the ever present a/c problems- in Texas. I believe that Honda once made a good vehicle. I also believe that Honda changed something after the 2014 model year. Now, anybody I speak with who owns 2015, 2016 or 2017 Honda expresses major disappointment with the vehicles quality. I wont be purchasing another Honda.

  • Very satisfied - 2015 Honda CR-V

Last December,we decided it was time to replace our jeep liberty. The many smaller suvs would be the way to go for us. After lots of research, it seemed that all of them seemed to have their problems. Honda with the vibration, forester with the oil consumption, Escape with recalls, etc. Since we had great luck with previous Hondas. (280000 and still going with a civic hybrid) we test drove an EX-L AWD specifically looking for the vibration. Never experienced it. About one month ago we bought the one we test drove. We are extremely pleased with our purchase. No problems at all after 3000 miles. No doubt some crvs have an issue. With the number sold maybe <10%?????

  • Perfect for us. - 2015 Honda CR-V

After going to a few auto-shows and sitting in dozens of SUVs and compact SUVs, we decided on the Touring FWD in White Orchid Pearl with beige interior as our family hauler. Main reasons: low floor, 90degree opening rear door. The power-train is very peppy and gets up to speed surprisingly quick. I never find the need to use sport and always have ECON mode on. Avg 26mpg on a light load, 22mpg with the whole family and peripherals. Curiously, I am not experiencing any vibration issues others mention.

  • Vibration is really Annoying. - 2015 Honda CR-V
    By -

So i bought my Honda CRV 2015 EX on December 1st. I was so excited, and first time I buy a new car. I didnt want to deal with headaches from used car, who knows what problems they have. When I test drive the CRV, I tried all the functions in the car, and they seems to be pretty good, I got a good deal on the price, and i bought it. However after i drive it everyday from home to work, and i live in New York. I have to deal with stop signs or traffic lights every couple blocks. The car just vibrates like crazy when im in D mode and brake pressed. The shake is pretty violent, and after i research everyone is having the same issue. Man i really wish i did my research first, now too late.

  • Collision Mitigation - 2015 Honda CR-V
    By -

Purchased this car because of safety technology. The collision mitigation does not work. As a race car driver, I tested the system to the max without a collision. The system does not intervene in a way that would prevent an accident. Honda will not recognize the issue at both the dealership and corporate level. Subaru does not have this problem.

  • VIBRATIONS AT IDLE !!! Not an issue, a problem! - 2015 Honda CR-V
    By -

Bought in December 10 2014. After a 2 block test drive I really liked it. After purchase I noticed a vibration in the seats and between1000 and 2000 rpm and a droning noise. Thought that was the way a 4 cyl. was supposed to be since I have always drivin 6 cyl. Well I looked online and omg! This is not what is normal prior CRV s . Honda is telling thousands a fix is coming, if a fix is needed for a new car how can you sell them knowing there is an issue, Honda calls it an issue, to a consumer its a problem! Honda uses the word issue to downplay it. Look out Honda! You tricked the wrong person. Imagine your an ant, all others are stepping on you to kill ya, well Im a 20 lb sledge.. Fix it!

  • CRV 2015 is not a safe car - 2015 Honda CR-V
    By -

Brand new CRV on the third trip from home. The hesitation/vibration problem is noticeable (intermittent shuddering as if a wheel is out of alignment and/or the vehicle has just hit a patch of black ice, but related to the newly designed CRV transmission, a problem common to all CRV 2015 that does not yet have a fix) but what really stunned me was a sudden EXTREMELY HIGH REV when going down a small hill. I was braking lightly at the time. It happened again a week later going up a small hill without brake. It didnt last very long, but the engine raced so completely out of control that the vehicle did not feel safe. The noise was incredible. I returned the car to the dealership.

  • I would save your money and shop other brands - 2015 Honda CR-V

Simply put, I would save your money and aggressively shop other makes & models. I really tried to fall in love with this car for over a year but Honda missed the target by many hundreds of miles! First and foremost, it has the dreaded vibration issue that Honda has now quietly admitted to and issued a TSB to dealers - only it moves the vibration from lower speeds to higher ones so the problem isnt really fixed. But I cant dock them for that because I was aware of this going into the purchase. I have owned this car for well over a year and I have found the build quality to keep progressively getting worse. Every time I drive this car I notice a new squeak, rattle or vibration. It has been taken into the dealership many times for things such as brake shoes makes noise when changing directions, on occasion the starter will make a grinding noise on start up, the AC in this car barely cools the car in the summer, the drivers master window switch needed replacing because the auto up/down feature would not work intermittently, the fan speed will not work on the highest setting at random, and finally the interior sounds like it is falling apart during normal driving because the interior materials seem to be so cheap. Now when I mentioned these things to the dealership I was advised "this is all normal" - go figure! My favorite though, and I havent mentioned this to the dealership yet because Im watching this myself - the oil reading on the dipstick keeps getting progressively lower each time i check it. In other words I have reason to believe it may be burning oil. Every time I unscrew the oil fill cap, it is always white and milky underneath - it is as if coolant is mixing with the oil. Im only suspecting this because the coolant overflow tank was almost empty until the dealer filled it during an oil change. This is my conclusion and advice to you: In theory, this car is phenomenal! Good looks, great gas mileage (yeah bull sh** Honda), plenty of storage space and AWD - in theory. In reality, you as the consumer should run far away from this car and realize that what Honda is doing is standing behind a well known reputation for quality and reliability while mass producing garbage and selling it off to consumers. Honda needed to quickly update the CR-V in 2015 to be competitive which other CUVs on the market. Unfortunately they rushed the CR-V through the design phase and onto production so now the consumer who buys this product is left to work out the design flaws and bugs that Honda should have addressed before producing this vehicle. My parents owned a 2005 Honda Pilot (excellent vehicle) with almost 200K when it was traded for a 2015 Honda Pilot (very well made vehicle) - so we are a Honda family! When I was shopping for my next vehicle it was a toss-up between a Ford Explorer (Had a 1996 at the time that I loved!) or the 2015 Honda CR-V. I went with the Honda because I figured I would have no issues with reliability and you could get a top-level Touring for around 30k - more car for your money. I regret that purchase decision each time I get behind the wheel or see a 2015/2016 Ford Explorer zoom by me. Im not saying Honda as a whole company is bad, but this 2015 CR-V (and Im assuming the 2016 as well) are absolute garbage and I would highly suggest you shop other makes and models because there are much better options out there.

car is disappointing. the rpm is to low when stopped at lite with car in gear, vibrating a lot. also while excellerating between 1000-2000 rpm the car vibrates and moans. it seems like it should be downshifting but is not. it is not there just riding with the cruise on.i test drove 2 different 2015 crvs that were fwd and they were fine. mine is a awd.
