  • CRV-Complete Recreational Vehicle - 2002 Honda CR-V

Love my CRV. I waited 5 months before I bought mine. I also looked at the Pilot (too big and expensive).I put 200 miles on it the first day I had it! This is my 3rd Honda. Everyone has a Honda in my family except for my husband who has a Toyota Highlander. The dealership was great! I paid $800 under MSRP.

  • Escaped to the CRV - 2002 Honda CR-V

The Escape was going to be my next vehicle, but the revised CRV stole the purchase. It has the ride height, cargo area, and (just) enough power for someone who wants the small SUV experience but does not go off-road. In addition, the automated part time AWD provides a comforting extra level of traction. Do not be fooled by the 4cyl engine, as this is quite probably the most sophisticated among mini-SUVs, with 160hp and 162 lbs. torque. If you have already experienced the last CRV, please head back to the dealer and update yourself with another test drive. For my $20K, the CRV cannot be beat.

  • Very Happy with our CR-V - 2002 Honda CR-V

Other than the bland interior our CR-V has been awesome. We average over 27+mpg with alot of highway. The interior space for cargo and people was a big factor in choosing the CR-V over the Liberty and Rav4. Im 63 and I can sit in the back without my knees hitting the front seat backs. The CR-V is a fun, practical, economical vehicle without the typical SUV liabilities.

  • EXTREMELY PLEASED - 2002 Honda CR-V

Three weeks old and loving it. I have owned Hondas before and went astray, never again. I am thrilled with it. Engine seems more like a 6 cylinder. I hope I get as good service as I did my prior Hondas. Highly recommend.

  • My used CRV EX - 2002 Honda CR-V

After years of driving a mid sized truck it was time to get something to haul the family in. The space in this car is amazing. The all wheel drive is a must and the low cost of ownership is something I look forward to.

Very impressed with the vehicle. Having owned three Explorers and one Trooper, was looking to the Ford Escape. Checked out the CRV when the Ford dealer could not come through on a 4WD unit in Texas. I am so happy he did not. The CRV has standard ABS (option on Ford). Drives much better than the truck like feel of the Escape, and much better mileage than the Jeep Liberty. My kids think the rear seat has more room than the 2000 Explorer I retired.

  • Simply the best - 2002 Honda CR-V

Awesome car. I would say SUV, but it isnt. If you are looking for a vehicle to tow a ton of stuff, go 4 wheelin in the mountains and mudding and stuff like that then get a Jeep. But if you want a real, practical auto got going around town in, picking up kids, and making peoples heads turn, then this is it! Good power, beats the Toyota RAV-4 hands down! Great, great car! I have NO complaints! Awesome ride!

  • Great Vehicle - 2002 Honda CR-V

I was less than impressed by the power of the previous version, but liked the quality and versatility. The new model is a whole level beyond the 2001 model and I feel has been underrated by the "editors" on the Edmunds site. The power is almost V6-like in most applications and the handling is very competent if not exciting. I fault the somewhat low fuel economy and road noise as less than excellent. The door rub guards actually serve a purpose. I found no problem with the cup holders as indicated in the editor review nor tire performance. Quality is first rate as is the "feel" of the vehicle. Solid, fun, and very capable.

  • 2002 Honda CR-V Ownership Is Bliss - 2002 Honda CR-V

I drove it with two friends down to Daytona Beach, Florida, for a reptile expo/show - not an easy drive. Were were all impressed as to how well the CR-V handled, even at 95mph! It handles a lot like a car, very sporty and comfortable in any seat. I also drove it up to the Northern Georgia mountains, called Flat Top Mountain. One of the trails up to the hiking area is called a "jeep trail" (steep inclines, narrow paths, water bogs, loose wet/moldy rocks and fallen tree limbs). Believe it or not, the CR-V made it up and down this 1.65 mile jeep trail (each way) like a complete champ. I just popped into low gear and it was unstoppable.

  • Great value for the money - 2002 Honda CR-V

My wife actually bought the 2002 CRV LX model. We test drove several SUVs, from the Isuzu Rodeo to the Toyota RAV4. The Honda CRV gave us the most comfort, less noise, more power, and easy handling. At first we did not like the gear shift location, but we soon over looked the location. Overall, we feel it was the best value for the money. And with the great gas millage and the cost of gas, it makes sense to buy a fuel economy veichle.
