  • A Great Car - Horrible Comfort - 2016 Honda CR-V
    By -

I will never buy another CRV again unless Honda decides to fix the interior car seat design. After owning the car for 6 months I now have a permanent shoulder and neck injury from driving this vehicle. The headrest is so far forward that it causes curvature right at the base of the neck into the mid spine area. As a result of being constantly curved you begin to develop next train with creates muscle tightness in the neck which is now resulted in tingling and numbness in two my hands. I tried turning the headrest around and felt infinitely more comfortable but its not safe because theres no support in case of an accident. An additional problem is the bottom part of the seats themselves even at 5 to the seats are too short. As a result you dont get any support behind your legs. And this creates neck and back strain as well as you are required to support your own legs throughout the drive with just your bottom on the seat. I drive a car to drive and go places and this car has been miserable. Another reason not to ever buy this car again is the road noise. You can barely talk on your cell phone in this car when youre on the highway because the road and wind noise is so loud. You cannot listen to music comfortably in this car because you have to blast it so loud in order to be able to hear the music over the wind and road noise. When I bought this car I was thinking great gas mileage reliability and safety. But I didnt think about Comfort because I assumed a car company like Honda as reputable as they are would have created seats that would have been comfortable.

Great fuel economy. Good SUV for family of four , not needing 3 rd row seating. Great trunk room for groceries etc.

  • Loud noisey on the inside - 2016 Honda CR-V

I love the Honda, however, this CRV has loud noise from the tires, or the windows not air tight, I thought my sunroof was open because of the noise, you can hear a lot of air coming inside or the tires are loud too. I have a 03 Honda accord and I ride in it more because it is old but no loud and it came with Michelins Tires a very good ride. This CRV came with Cross or something, tires something I had not heard of before, and they have very noisy sound. I love the Truck, however, something needs to be done about the noise. I rather ride in the 03 Honda Accord and it shakes & vibrates but has a very quiet ride, the window comes down to get the heat out before you get to the care by holding the unlock button and it has six CD changer inside not sure why they deleted those options, BIG MISTAKES.

  • No Vibrations! - 2016 Honda CR-V
    By -

I was wary of purchasing the CRV due to the vibration issues noted in the 2015 model and was on the verge of purchasing a Toyota. Im glad I stuck with my initial choice because after more than 1,600miles in my 2016 CRV EX FWD, there are no vibrations at idle or driving. There are some vibration as with any car but nothing like those mentioned in the 2015 models. The ride is excellent with good sound proofing in city driving. Parking is super easy with the rear view camera and the big side mirrors. Sufficient storage areas. I can get the MPG as claimed by Honday, which is excellent. Its very comfortable to get in and out of the vehicle and the features are much greater than other SUVs I have compared, for the price (Toyota RAV4, Subaru Forrester, Ford Escape).

User friendly controls. Nice transmission CVT

Wish Honda would allow purchase of options independent of model type. This is the only very annoying factor.

Cloth seats are way better. Love the heated seats and no static!

This is my 6th Honda dating back to 1977. I chose the CRV due to living in a snow belt. This SUV rides very nice. The handling is good. I really like the driving position, it sits up high enough to see everything well at night. It has plenty of options. I like the amount of storage and the way the rear seats fold down. With my past experience with Hondas this should last a very long time. I am not planning on ever needing to purchase another car. No vibrations as some have mentioned with the 2015 model.

  • Still have the vibration problem - 2016 Honda CR-V
    By -

We just got this car a week ago. Did not feel anything when test driving it but feel the vibration the day after purchase with only about 100 miles. What we found out is the vibration only happens when the car is in gear at idle. After doing some search on the internet we found a lot of complaints for the 2015 model but not for 2016. The vibration is similar to a lot of comments people said about 2015: only happens at 600-700 rpm after the car is fully warm up. Went back to the dealer twice already and finally got the manager tried it with me and documented the problem. However, we were told this is the characteristic of CR-V and there is no fix at the moment. They can only file this complaint to Honda and wait for the update. I am surprised that I did not find complaint about it for 2016 on the internet yet. My guess is it probably a lot less severe than the 2015 but you can definitely feel it. The good part is I can turn the heater to maximum to bump up to 700-800 rpm then the vibration goes away but the VIBRATION DEFINITELY IS STILL THERE! Make sure that you test drive it on highway and local for at least 20min before you decide to buy it.

Not as good of discounts as some other brands but seem better made than others. More quiet cabin and better driver feedback when operating.
