  • 2015 Honda CRV- ENGINE FAILURE - 2015 Honda CR-V
    By -

My father just Bought a 2015 HONDA CRV Touring model which is their highest end. The interioir and exterior design are great. However, the ENGINE FAILED after having it only 3 days. The car was bran new and came off the lot with less than 7 miles on it. We traded in our 2014 CRV which we loved for this new lemon. Now we are fighting for a refund to get our old car back but they are not letting us return it. It has now been 10 days. We noticed vibration in the vehicle at medium speeds (30-50mph) and then some studdering at stop signs and red lights. Turns out there is something wrong with the engine. When we brought the car back they were not surprised, we are not the first to report this

  • Worst Drive Ever - 2015 Honda CR-V
    By -

I purchased my 4WD CR V ExL Nov 1 and wanted to return it a week later. While the car has great pick up it is the worst drive i have had in a Honda. The engine vibrates when stopped at lights or while in idle. Also while driving you feel a vibration at certain intervals. I am not sure what triggers it but it is the most annoying thing I have ever experienced. It takes all the joy out of owning a new car. I learned from other reviews that it is the CVT and I took it to the dealer to see if any adjustments could be made and they just told me they could find nothing wrong with the car. I am seriously thinking about trading it in for an Accord. I miss my old honda accord.

  • 20k miles a year and going great - 2015 Honda CR-V

Our 2015 CRV has been great. Initially I worried about he reports of vibration from some owners but thankfully Ive had absolutely no issues. Performance and comfort are great. Handling is solid. Quite happy. Only two things Id change: --the built in microphone for calls really has a hard time with any ambient noise. Wind or even air from the vents regularly disrupts calls and commands. -- The tan seats get spots too easily. I moved to the CRV from he Ody van and a Passat and Camry before that. These CRV seats definitely mark up more quickly than any of the others. Other than that, great car!

  • Look at accessory photos before you purchase - 2015 Honda CR-V

I am slowly liking my new car more and more. Ive owned the CRV for one month now had have driven approximately two thousand miles. I average 500 miles a week. I have no mechanical complaints. The new variable transmission is a little whiney and noticeable at times . But nothing to complain about. My former vehicle was a fully loaded 2012 Odyssey except navigation to a base model 2015 AWD CRV. The two vehicles are very different. I was trying to downsize, get better mpg, and AWD. My chief complaint is that the accessories I had put on the CRV were not the same size as the Odyssey. The raised roof rack is not the same as the raised roof rack on the Odyssey. The tow package with the 2" ball is not what I expected either. My kids say the back seats are uncomfortable . I am going to get memory foam back support pads for them. They also miss the XM radio and entertainment package. I did buy a portable XM radio receiver it was free with subscription . The rear view camera is much smaller. I must say I really enjoyed working with Phil Ha at Stevens Creek Honda in San Jose, Ca.. Phil got back to me within minutes every time I contacted(email, text, voicemail) him. Phil give me the best price for my CRV within a 500 mile radius . I had contacted 4 other dealerships and Phil still had the best price. I really enjoyed working with Phil Ha and edmunds. I would recommend working with Phil and edmunds.

  • Transmission failure after 15,000 miles - 2015 Honda CR-V
    By -

We leased our 2015 CRV for the fact we liked the new body style and the fuel economy was great. We leased for wife to drive and this gave me the peice of mind that the services would all be done at the dealership and she was in good hands. All was well with the suv, we drove it from ohio to florida and back for vacation and it had great fuel economy. However on our next trip to Tennessee we had major transmission problems over 100 miles away from home. On the way I was driving and noticed that the rpms would increase and decrease rapidly. I thought maybe some bad gas was causing the issue and stopped to assess the problem. At idle the car was fine and as I increased the throttle there were no issues. Back on the road about 15 miles and the car seemed to get worse rpms surging. We decided to turn back and limp it home to the dealership we bought it from. About 20 miles heading back the shifts got worse and the D light on the dash starts to flash. I immediately pulled over and safely got to a gas station. By the time I pulled into the gas station the rpms were at 4000 just to get the car to move a little and you could here squelling from the transmission. 3hrs later (I forgot to mention my wife was 4 months pregnant and very emotional as the trip was for valentines weekend) we got the car to the nearest dealership to assess the transmission. The CRV only has close to 15,000 miles on it and the codes thrown for the transmission were showing total failure. We tried to get a rental from the dealership, but we didnt have honda care just 24hr roadside assistance so they said no coverage. After many calls to our dealership and the 24 hr roadside assistance (got hung up on a couple times by them) we decided to give up on them. The dealership we were at helped us get a good rate on a rental that WE paid for and decided not to have the car ruin our valentines weekend and I am actually writing this review in Tennessee. I have been a honda fan as they usually have great cars (I have the ridgeline), but I think they may have tried something new and failed. The new cvt transmission seemed good at first, but now I do not have high hopes for it.

  • Vibration also - 2015 Honda CR-V
    By -

Really like the vehicle, except for the vibration issue so many others are noting. Honda, please get a fix out for this as soon as possible. Notice after car has fully warmed up, you stop in "drive" and you are not running accessories like heater. It is much more vibration than a typical 4 cylinder. It does seem like the cause is idling too low. Otherwise, the car is really nice.

  • Issues with 2015 Honda CRV - 2015 Honda CR-V

I have brought the new 2015 Honda CRV in NJ and from the day one I noticed a vibration on the front seats, I report that to local dealer and American Honda. Dealer checked it with other new 2015 models and confirmed that this is with all Honda CRV 2015 Models. I reported the same to American HOnda and they told me GET LOST. The vibration is not always but few times but is strong that you can literally feel it at the back. Very sad that HONDA put my feedback under the carpet and washed off their hands with there responsibility. I told them that the vibration is so strong that my driving get distracted and I get a feel of discomfort but they did not listen to me and closed my case :-(

  • Unbelievable Vibration - 2015 Honda CR-V
    By -

I am not one to complain about small things, but the vibration felt in my new 2015 CR-V detracts from all the other positives in this vehicle! The vibration only occurs once the car is warmed up and is so bad that it makes the sunglasses on my face vibrate! I have never written an online review for anything, but I felt that others should know about this major flaw. If Honda is able to fix this issue, then I would recommend this car. Otherwise, I would not. Hugely disapppointed in this purchase.

Honda company is disregarding the issue of the Honda cr-v vibration. It is been 7 months after some many vibrating trips to the Honda dealer to fix it and no solution. I am discouraged, disappointed, and unsatisfied with them . They trick people to buy this garbage with out letting them know that there is an issue. I am alerting those buyer dont be a victim like me. NEVER MORE BUSINESS WITH YOU HONDA FULL OF HYPOCRISY
