  • CRV: Nice Car - with unexpected issues! - 2002 Honda CR-V

It has a few drawbacks: a) Fuel Inefficient (15 in the city, 20 highway) for last two months. b) The folding table broke without anything on it! Tip for using it: never use handle to lift it up. Just slowly pop it up, from the middle. c) Paint crack: I just saw it on the hood last night.... covered under the warranty? d) Front foot room - already mentioned: exhausting during long drives. BTW Angelica; the noise experienced is due to gear selector being blocked/released, at higher speeds.

  • Best Small SUV - 2002 Honda CR-V

This is used primarily as a tow-behind-our-motorhome vehicle, and as our 2nd-car home vehicle. It excels at both. Its light & pulls safely & reliably with 4 wheels on the ground, has 4 speed automatic, is powerful enough to use off-road, and delivers a solid 28 mpg. The best investment a motorhome owner could make. We live at high altitude in Colorado, and have plenty of power to go over steep mountain passes on cruise control @ 65+mph, and when shifted to 3rd gear, the tough little engine has enough compression to handle downgrades without braking. It handles reliably in snow and on ice. After almost 4 years of use, only routine service has been done. No repairs required.

  • Thinking of a darn good mini SUV? - 2002 Honda CR-V

Since purchasing this suv in 3/02 it has been the most reliable vehicle I have ever owned. Every car, especially first year redesigns such as the 02 CRV, has minor glitches. The check engine light periodically came on when the car was new because of a software bug-dealer updated software and solved the problem! The other problems are to minor to list. Tires, on the other hand, are something this truck loves to eat! After 30,000 miles give or take expect to purchase a new set. Those issues aside I would highly recommend this vehicle and expect to drive it problem free for many more miles!

  • My new CRV - 2002 Honda CR-V

We purchased the new CRV for our growing family (new baby in July!). We were sold on the safety features and the numerous extras that came with the EX model. It passed its first test when we had to stuff a dresser in it, the seats flipped up beautifully and everything fit! The 6-disc cd changer is a bit noisy as it switches and I would love it if Honda would put in heated seats (like a comparably priced Subaru does). And why no daytime running headlights? We are happy with the acceleration and power. We looked at the Ford Escape, Hyundai Santa Fe and the Jeep Liberty. Honda was the best value for space, options and price all-around.

i have this vehicle for 6 months now and it has fulfilled my needs so far. for an SUV its size - i must say its value is hard to beat. i considered the Rav 4 , ford escape and mazda tribute - all of which i IMO did not compare to the total value of the CRV.

THIS IS A NICE SUV. THE LEGROOM IS A LITTLE SHORT BUT I CA WORK WITH IT ME BEING (6FOOT) AND ALL I STILL LOVE IT. MORE POWER AND GERAT PERFORAMANCE.

  • Great Vehicle - 2002 Honda CR-V

After 8000 miles, we love our CRV. Drove 13 hours on vacation in a day with no problems. We have not had any problems at all with this SUV. Comfortable and roomy. I wish acceleration was a little quicker, but its a trade off for good mileage. Lot of storage places. We finally figure out the best use for the compartment below the radio is as a french fry holder.

Great vehicle overall but uncomfortable on long rides. Poor fuel economy, nowhere near the 25-30 mpg that is adverstised. Harsh riding because of smallish wheelbase.

  • So Far So Good - 2002 Honda CR-V

Great handling. Nice strong engine through all gears (cant believe its a 4). Very large interior. Comfortable seats. Plenty of cargo room; lots more with the seats flipped up. Around town 24 MPG. Paint and exterior detail is perfect - even in cracks and crevices. Smooth, positive ride. Road noise is minimal. Doors close like an airtight vault. The only problem is that Im still talking to myself about paying list price, $22,740.

  • Almost perfect - 2002 Honda CR-V
    By -

I have this car for a little over a week already. I really like this car. The manual transmission is great. It is smooth and quiet (no clicking noise problem). A lot of power in low gears. High RPM in highway speed (over 3000) slightly over 70 mph. Road noises depends on ashalt(good) or concrete road (bad) but very good in general.
