This Year's Model Updates:

The 2007 Honda CR-V is completely redesigned. It hasn't grown in size, power or seating capacity, but thanks to Honda's attention to detail, this small SUV is way up in practicality and refinement.

Pros:
  • Thoughtfully designed cabin with numerous family-friendly touches, high-quality interior materials, comfortable and quiet ride, agile handling.
Cons:
  • Could use more power for passing at highway speeds.

  • Somewhat better than the old CRV - 2007 Honda CR-V

I like the new Honda CR-V, and owned the previous model (2003). Unfortunately I think it looks like every other new crossover-they look like station wagons! Im not impressed with the fuel economy. I also miss the table that you got with the older CR-V-it came in handy for tailgating. It rides well, and is comfortable for the most part. I wish the back seat was a few inches wider, then two adults could sit in the back with a car seat.

A great little ride. Havent had any problems yet. Wind noise is a little bit more than used to especially with the roof open but not overly harsh. Fit and finish of the usual superb Honda quality. Love the way the dash looks at night....very informative. Respectable 24 MPG mainly city but hoping it will improve greatly as the car ages. Very comfortable driver and front passenger seat position. Dont know how I ever did without steering wheel radio and cruise controls. Car feels like its on rails and seems as if it can corner rather sharply in turns.

Test drove the RAV4, Forester and CR-V. For only $1K more the CR-V had moon roof, alloy wheels privacy glass and a hundred little gadgets like tire pressure monitoring, extra engine maint. gauges, trip estimates and a better sound system (w/ ipod input jack). The CR-V had better interior than both the RAV4 and Forester and was much much quieter. Was somewhat disappointed in fuel economy. Sticker says 22-27 but Ive been averaging about 19 mpg with half city/half hwy driving. Though I took it on a road trip last week and averaged 28.5 mpg w/ cruise on. Also, your not going to win any races with this car. The performance is adequate and responsive but not extraordinary.

  • Our best Honda yet! - 2007 Honda CR-V

Honda just keeps getting better. The wife has driven this hard for 9 months and 14,000 miles now. I suspect the car is not even broken in yet, still drives like brand new. Comfort and driveability is a strong point. Im a big 6-1 and after a three hour trip behind the wheel, I feel like Ive been sitting on my couch relaxing. A lot of thought went into the details, from the way you can configure the fold down seats to auto open for the moon roof. Every button seems to know exactly what you want to do. Gas milage is surprising for a car with this much room (seats five+stuff) 24 around town, almost 30 open road. Turning circle is crazy tight, feels like you can do a U-turn in your garage.

I am a first time Honda owner after trading in my Nissan Maxima for the 2007 CR-V. I dont know if it is because I am only 53 but I am having a difficult time with visibility while turning corners and changing lanes. My 2nd issues is mpg, I am a conservative driver but still only managing 21 mpg in town and 26 mpg hwy. The one feature I could not give up was my Homelink system. My dealer installed an Acura mirror with homelink as part of the deal, as well as a rear cargo cover & remote start. I prefer the plush leather seats of the Maxima for long distance driving, but for in town the CR-Vs are fine. I am amazed and delighted at how well the CR-V has handled winter driving.

  • Love my CR-V - 2007 Honda CR-V

This is my first new car. Im 39 and my old GEO has 198,000 miles on it and thought it was time for a newer one even though my Prizm still runs great, I use it for a work car. When I saw the Billboards CRAVE I was instantly impressed. I had been looking at the 2006 RAV-4 (another awesome car) but decided on CR-V because the styling to me is a little more upscale. Honda and Toyota (what my Geo basically is) have always had great resale value and reliability. I loved the GREEN TEA Metallic and thats what I got. With power everything and 6 airbags, the $20,500 including destination charge (using COSTCO discount) I got a great car for a great price. 30-32 hwy but only 15 city (San Francisco).

I purchased this car on October 2006, It has performed to our expectation. I have rented a U-haul trailer and pulled it from Richmond, VA to Livonia, MI (approx. 1200lbs). We love the adjustable rear seats and back rest. The all-wheel drive system performed well in the Michigan winters. I didnt have to worry about switching the system to 4x4. Lastly, the gas consumption has been good. In the city we average about 24 mpg and on the highway about 28 mpg (70 mph). Driving on the highway at 55-60 mph get me above 30 mpg.

  • An Extremely Smart Purchase - 2007 Honda CR-V

I love my CR-V. I was looking for a sedan that would fit our 5 full size family members and would replace my Audi A6 that was always in the shop (frustrating!). After a lot of research I found this fuel efficient, AWD, roomy, fun to drive car that was loaded with features and just happened to be a small SUV. In fact it was such a total package at an attractive cost I saved myself a bunch of money not buying a Japanese luxury sedan. As a bonus I can bring my two dogs along when the 5 of us go out. After 7 months of ownership I am still thrilled with the CR-V. I also have competition from other family members that want to drive my CR-V instead of our G-35 coupe and old Mercedes ML320 SUV.

  • Great so far - 2007 Honda CR-V

Improved ride and handling over my 03 CR-V but I miss the flip up rear window. The maintenance minder is kind of silly and it seems that it will be a pain to use. I prefer a written maintenance schedule which is no longer in the owners manual. The adjustable steering wheel is ok but I usually set it once and leave it alone. The spare sits in the floor well with the valve stem pointed down which means that you have to remove it to check the air.

1 yr and 12,000 miles later: Overall we like the car. Things that stand out and we like: - smooth ride - mpg meter (instant and average) - service reminder. The issues i can think of are: - very hard seats, butt hurts after 2 hrs of long distance driving - have never achieved the rated mpg, even on hwy. Best case is about 26 mpg on hwy, not sure about city. - base sound system could be improved - interior plastic scratches real easy and is very difficult to remove scratches. - car seems to pull to either side very easily depending on slant in the road. My other cars never did as much.
