  • Honda Reliability & Practicality - 2004 Honda CR-V

Quiet, responsive engine with 25/26 MPG, peppier than my previously owned 97 Accord..no need for 6 cyl. Ride is excellent for a small wheelbase, handling is terrific. Practical features include easy access storage for groceries, etc. and simple fold down rear seats. Shorter drivers will find visibilty vastly improved over lower riding cars. Lot of storage spaces plus plenty of room for 3rd/4th passengers.

I got this car a couple months before I got my Learners Permit so that I could learn to drive on it. I fell in love with it immediately. Im pretty short so I wasnt into the sports car because I could barely see over it. The CR-V was the perfect size. Its not too big and its not too small. It also has a very good safety rating. It looks small but has pretty good room in the front and back. IT also has a large trunk great for atheletes like myself to put athletic equipment in. Overall it is a great buy.

  • CRV a bargain - 2004 Honda CR-V

Comfortable, quality is obvious, especially for a relatively inexpensive SUV. 4 cyl. engine really feels closer to a 6 cyl.& I am really pleased with the power. Very ergonomic interior. Compared to other compact SUVs, the CRV is larger and is a real bargain. The RT AWD makes a ride on slick roads feel very secure.

  • Honda CRV EX - 2004 Honda CR-V

Love the car just needs a few improvements. 1. Gear Shifter gets in the way of radio making in hard to reach programmed radio buttons. 2. Road Noise. Sometimes sounds like a window is open. Try opening the moonroof feel the air come thrrough the electric window openers on the drivers side door. 3. Radio could sound better. 4. small glove box.

  • Economy yes, not fun to drive, loud! - 2004 Honda CR-V
    By -

I bought this CRV for reliability and economy. This car has performed these functions well. The gas mileage is slightly lower than the EPA estimates. The CRV is great in the parking lot, small and maneuverable. The problems are these: This is the loudest car Ive ever been in. The road noise drowns out all conversation. The seats are very hard and make long drives even more uncomfortable. The car even looks kind of wimpy, too. The fuel indicator also shows empty when there is more than 25% of a tank left.(the tank isn big to begin with) After 3 years I have had enough. I will trade off a little mileage for comfort and styling.

  • Why I picked CRV instead of Element - 2004 Honda CR-V
    By -

I was comparing between the Element and CRV, and went with CRV. Ive had it for 6 months now and I am very happy with my choice. CRV seats more people (5 instead of 4), and is quieter and less bumpier on the road. It handles GREAT, I have driven quite a few cars, and this is by far the easiest to turn and handle. Fuel economy and horse power are decent. The car feels very spacy (and it is), while small enough to drive around the city.

  • Great Little SUV - 2004 Honda CR-V
    By -

People laugh when I tell them that we cross shopped it with RX330 and a MDX. We added leather and larger rubber, and a navigation system;thats it. My wife wanted a 5 speed and its definatly the most fun to drive of the 3. Its almost as large with better MPG and tires that chirp through the gears. Honda listen up. Go with the larger tires. Its quieter and handles MUCH better!

We love our CR-V 2003 5sp EX - nimble, and peppy with the 5-speed. I am impressed with our honda- space and all the comps we did to others small suvs - safty, room and heck 0-60 the CRV stood with or above other larger and smaller for us - we do like to get iup to the western NC mountains and ski once in a while and the 4wd is fine for that - not truck based , no 4 low so I dont try to mud bogg race with it. But it has been a fun SUV for us so far and no troubles or trips to the service dept other than oil change - Very satisfied compared to other new fords, and chevys we have had and service issues that came up.

  • good SUV but watch out - 2004 Honda CR-V
    By -

I purchase the CRV for the all wheel drive and to take to work. Ive own Honda Vehicles my whole life. Check your oil after its change there have been 27 cases so far where the truck catches fire, after an oil change and Honda has not issued a recall yet so BE CAREFUL Im taking mine back to the dealer ship to confront this issue face to face.

  • Air Conditioner Out in TX at 42,000 mi - 2004 Honda CR-V
    By -

I have owned an Accord and a Civic. Who would think to buy an extended warranty on a Honda? Not me. I certainly didnt think my air conditioner would go out at only 42,000 miles. My sisters friend also has a crv 2004 whose air went out and it cost her 3,000.
