This Year's Model Updates:

The 2007 Honda CR-V is completely redesigned. It hasn't grown in size, power or seating capacity, but thanks to Honda's attention to detail, this small SUV is way up in practicality and refinement.

Pros:
  • Thoughtfully designed cabin with numerous family-friendly touches, high-quality interior materials, comfortable and quiet ride, agile handling.
Cons:
  • Could use more power for passing at highway speeds.

  • Better When New - 2007 Honda CR-V
    By -

Loved this car when we first picked it up after driving a couple of 10 year plus old cars. But with some time behind the wheel the CRV does have some faults. Seats are uncomfortable, very noisy, cheap interior materials, tire monitor light that comes on when its cold out, and try rolling down the back windows at highway speed, terrible wind rumble noise. Performance and reliability should be good and of course the safety factor. All in all a good car but not one to fall in love with.

  • Not crazy about CR-V - 2007 Honda CR-V

Both my wife and I are not thrilled with our CR-V. Mileage is poor 23 on highway or around town, seats not all that comfortable. Very uncomfortable on long trips, black stickers on door pillars peeling-rear differential was howling and had to have fluid changed (on going Honda problem) tires almost at wear indicators with 20,000 miles- we have had regular maintenance. Honestly we are considering getting rid of it and replacing with a RAV 4.

  • First Driving Impression of 07 CRV - 2007 Honda CR-V

This SUV comes close as it gets of scoring perfect in all aspects in its class. Totally superb handling, comfort, style and reliability. Compared to previous generations of CVRs, the 07 is much more refined and classy as if its a 45K SUV. I would be proud to park it next to any Lexus Acura or BMW without being ripped off.

  • Excellent Vehicle - 2007 Honda CR-V

I love it. Absolutely love it. I have had mine for a month now and cant stop driving it. Albeit a 4cly engine, it still has quite a bit of get-up and go to it. Lots of room, kid friendly features, and a smooth noiseless ride.

  • Love my CR-V - 2007 Honda CR-V

When it came time for me to buy a new car, my son talked me into test driving a Honda CR-V. I absolutely fell in love with it. For the price, it has more amenities than any other car I test drove (and I test drove lots of different cars). I have the LX- L model with the rear view camera, navigation system, and great stereo system. I am averaging 25 mpg this last year, city and highway combined. Around town, I usually get 21 mpg, but on the highway, I get as high as 31 mpg. This was also the best gas mileage posted on any car I drove. I cannot remember when Ive enjoyed a car so much. One thing that impressed me overall was I was not exhausted after driving a long distance!

  • Great Car! - 2007 Honda CR-V

I bought this car in 2007 and Ive gotten nothing but compliments on the design. Smooth ride but weak power on acceleration/. My car mileage on highways is typically 28.1 mpg and 27.8 on city roads (based on 87 octane). Seats could be more comfortable as they are a bit stiff, esp for long distance driving. Love how the back door opens up, not sideways, like the RAV4. One of my complaints is that I have to turn off my front lights manually--does not turn off with the engine. Also when you drop anything between the 2 front seats-around the console, its extremely difficult to find/retrieve whatever you dropped. Overall, its a great-looking car with good gas mileage.

  • Luv it, Luv it, Luv it - 2007 Honda CR-V

When we went searching for a new car, I had my heart set on a 07 RAV4. Husband wanted me to look at a CR-V before my final decision. Glad I did! Im happier with the fold down table in the middle of the front bucket seats. Im glad the hatch swings up and not into traffic. I added the removable tray in the back which is a dream after a trip to the store, and the gas mileage is wonderful. I didnt have to change oil for the first time till it hit 8,000 miles! And yes it is true for us, the CR-V was 15% less to insure because it doesnt have the spare hanging on the back. Ive driven it for a little over a year now, and cannot find one thing wrong. And I got the entry level AWD!

  • Not happy with my purchase - 2007 Honda CR-V
    By -

I have owned two Hondas before this purchase. This is the first CR-V. I am not happy with it and will replace as soon as possible. The interior is cheap, there are issues with the differential that I learned have been an issue for quote some time. Now with only 22,000 miles I have to replace all 4 tires. Never had any trouble with my Honda Accords. Should have bought another one! Miles isnt as good as I thought either. Drove terrible in the snow and ice.

  • Right Choice - 2007 Honda CR-V

I bought this car needing something with AWD and good fuel economy. Ive moved to the country and the roads are, shall we say, challenging. This car has been a gem. Its beautiful and flawless on the roads I navigate through. Weve had a tough winter with much rain which turns to mud on dirt roads. One morning going to work in the dark and much rain I turned on the dirt road only to discover it was flooded. I kept going through a torrent of water (yes I know youre not supposed to!) and this car never faltered for a moment. It was like it knew what to do and where the road was. Im getting about 25 mpg and feel very safe both on paved and unpaved roads. This car is sturdy and nimble

  • Comparing the 2006 to the 2007 - 2007 Honda CR-V
    By -

After 364 days my 2006 CR-V was totalled in an accident. I got my 2007 CR-V a few days ago. There are some marked differences between the old model CR-V and the redesigned 2007 one. The 2007 has a much softer, more car- like ride than the 2006, the seats are more comfortable and the engine is more responsive. On the down side there is almost no practical storage in the vehicle, the the cargo nets on the rear of the front seats is gone, the shift knob had been moved to the middle leaving a couple of usless holes where there once was a drawer and box big enough to hold CDs. The passenger underseat drawer is useless to the driver. The flip down center console holds nothing but drinks.
