  • Wonderful car - 2015 Honda Accord Hybrid

Great car! Ive averaged 43mpg over 17,099 miles. Fun car to drive. I rent a lot of cars for work and my Honda is always a joy to return to. One factor to consider is maintenance. This car requires an oil change roughly once a year ( the maintenance minder will tell you, but the manual says once a year otherwise). I have been to the dealer twice in two years, which would be unheard of in a regular car. The sound from the speakers is excellent and the collision detector has saved me more than once. I love this car!

Acceleration is great but engine is a bit noisy. Mileage is excellent. No maintenance problems whatsoever. Basque Pearl Red is a great color...many nice comments about how the car looks.

  • My second one - 2015 Honda Accord Hybrid

The 15 Touring is my second iMMD Accord in a row. I put 33K miles on a 14 in about 11 months, so I traded to a 15. The cars are identical except in color, old one was red the new one is a dark metallic silver which looks much nicer. My circumstances changed, and for the two years Ive only put 20K miles on the 15, so its brand new. The car is complex, the doodahs are stupid -as such doodahs are for all cars. I disabled Adaptive Cruise Control, all nanny warnings, the whole works.... so I DRIVE the car. What is really good about this car is how EV like it is... gobs of immediate torque off the line... instantly.... smoothness of the drivetrain... its silky. In the 14 we took some long trips and, cruising at 78mph, achieved almost 600 miles per tank, even going over the mountain passes on the Western I5 from SoCal to the Puget Sound. We had to stop for pit stops, not gas. Now, the trunk is a bit small, so we had to pack it tight once for Christmas Gifts but it was big enough for another trip to wine country. Indeed we love this car, but were going to sell it because were on the list for a Honda Fuel Cell Clarity. We have not had any real issues.... driving into the sun for long times (as in the evening) does confuse the ACC camera and will generate errors... they go away when it cools off. But, I dont use ACC, so its no big deal for me. The interior is very comfortable as well.

If you dont like going to gas stations and you like a comfortable cruiser, this is the right vehicle. I drive to Pittsburgh several days a week and bought this car as opposed to a Camry Hybrid because of the better gas mileage. I have not been disappointed. I average 44 MPG on my trips from home into Pittsburgh and that is running at least 70 MPH on the way. Its fun to sit in traffic and see the average MPG go up because of the electric motor. Short trips to and from town are all easily over 50 MPG and if I try to milk it more, I can do much better. My wife and I drove from Morgantown, WV to Chattanooga, TN before we needed to stop for gas. 600 + miles on a tank is the norm. The worst MPG that I have ever gotten was 39 MPG on a tank or two in the dead of winter (mileage is not as good in the winter). The car is very quiet (forget what others say about noise. It is a little noisy when doing a quick acceleration from a stop, but its not a big deal and goes away as soon as you reach cruising speed.) and the car rides very well. The handling could be a little better, but its not bad. There are three sacrifices that you make. One is that the legroom for front seat passengers is a little less than would be expected, two is that the trunk space suffers because of the battery pack, and three is the lack of a spare tire. I had a flat last week and the repair kit didnt work. Honda Roadside Assistance was not too good and I ended up having AAA tow the car back to the dealership where we ordered a replacement tire. I plan on buying a spare and jack and putting them in the trunk. The controls are laid out well and are easy to use, everything is within reach, and the sound system is very good. I have had no problems other than the flat since I bought the car and service has been limited to oil changes (synthetic) and tire rotations. My EX-L does not have Navigation and the car has no transmission (believe me you wont miss it and you can use the B setting for regenerative braking to slow down on long grades), so both of those were rated N/A as was resale value. I would expect it to be very good. I would definitely buy another Accord Hybrid.

  • Great car with some qalifications - 2015 Honda Accord Hybrid

First if all entertainment system sounds great, DD player is essentially useless other than to play CDs, will not save anything. Playing with flash drive is cumbersome, I bought an iPod Nano and it is infinitely easier. Honda needs some new engineers, this is unacceptable. Dealer shrugged his shoulders so Ill try once more then contact Honda directly. Car handles great, reasonably quiet when not accelerating (pronounced whine). Mileage very temperature dependent, heater is electric, heater warming cab, no EV.

  • Best Hybrid on the Market - 2015 Honda Accord Hybrid

Im in love with my Accord Hybrid for one reason - It drives and feels like any other Honda Accord. I read a ton of reviews about this car prior to purchasing especially regarding the fuel economy. The fuel economy all comes down to how you drive. Im averaging 48.7 mpg after 17k miles on the car. The car does OK in true traffic, but it really shines in stop/go ish traffic on highways at low speeds. I live in DC and this car does exceedingly well in the traffic conditions here. With that said - it does not perform well on long highway trips (drove to FL and got 37mpg). Overall this is a car that drives like any other Honda Accord and I could not be happier with my purchase. Almost three years in, still the best bar Ive owned. Only issue is that they had to replace the audio unit at 30k miles.

  • A hybrid you can keep your man card with! - 2015 Honda Accord Hybrid

Leased this car off the lot when they couldnt give them away due to gas prices. I wasnt looking for a hybrid but the dashboard and instruments sold me. Its the base model but the dashboard is well thought out. No center needle to get in the way and it tells you what you need to know. One reviewer posted he couldnt change the radio stations to other than presets well you can you just hold the direction arrow and it seeks. It would be nice if they heater controls were on the wheel but oh well. Driving this car is a breeze actually let me rephrase it hauls ass. Getting on the freeway it goes from 30 to 70 right now. Sure theres a little engine noise but so what. Passing from 60-70 to 90 happens at a rate not expected in a 4 door 4 cylinder that makes your neighbors think you are frugal. This car actually held the record for longest trip on a tank of gas and I have come close. I drive from Nebraska to Michigan quite often and have clocked almost 600 miles on a tank several times and its a 14 gallon tank. Its one of the few new cars of that year that dont turn the headlight off when you turn on your signal, and the HIDs are amazing in the middle of nowhere. I have owned mostly performance cars and I have to say this one is quite possibly the perfect commute car. Now the bad parts. When steering under full acceleration the designers made the steering way to sensitive. It feels like you are steering from the top of the tires and its very touchy. If you live in a hot climate turn off ECO mode in the summer. The AC Compressor will cycle at idle in order to be more efficient and that cuts down on the cooling. The trunk is small a couple of larger carry ons and a gym bag are about the limit. The electric motor torque does not do it any favors on the OE tires leaving a stoplight in wet or snowy conditions there is a lot of wheel spin and cutout from the traction control kicking on and off. Its a car you have to adjust to driving just like any other but its also a 4 door hybrid that destroys most other cars to 40 from a stoplight including the CIVIC SI of the same year. I dont write reviews often but this car is actually worth the money I am paying. Its been a great car, has only been to the shop for the recall on the battery shutdown that was mentioned and in the spring and fall I am crushing the EPA Estimates. Winter the motor runs to heat the cabin and that does impact the efficiency as does the cold battery. Summer well I like AC so at 75MPH cruising with the AC set on ALASKA I am only getting about 48 MPG on my highway commute to work. Yeah you read that right plus did I mention its not a prius?

I work with my car doing share rides Lyft and Uber I drive at least 10 hour a day 5-6 day per week and I only fill the tank once a week, great value it allows me to keep my more of my money in my pocket not the gas tank

  • FABULUS CAR FOR THE MONEY - 2015 Honda Accord Hybrid
    By -

Beautiful roomy passenger car inside. Trunk space is limited. Faster than my last Accord. Tank of gas cost like $25, which will last 675 miles. I estimate yearly cost of gas like $500. I recommend get extended warrantee. Plan to drive for 6 years at cost of like $3000 plus tires, oil change, and insurance. Save you lots of $ compared to many luxury or near luxury cars, yet looks just as good. No problems with car at all. In 20 degree weather the mpg is like 37. In 108 degree the mpg is 39. In 78 degree weather the mpg is 45
