Despite numerous 2003 upgrades, there's not much different on the outside other than optional multifunction mirrors and new machined aluminum wheels for SLT models. Inside, you'll find tri-zone climate controls, an enhanced driver-information center and a redesigned center console and instrument panel. Satellite steering wheel controls are now optional (standard on Denali models) as are second-row captain's chairs. New entertainment options include a Bose audio system, as well as XM Satellite Radio and a DVD-based entertainment system. For increased safety, there are a standard front-passenger sensing system, three-point belts for all second-row passengers, adjustable pedals and an available StabiliTrak stability control system. GMC also upgraded the braking system for better pedal feel and performance and retuned the Autotrac four-wheel-drive system for better efficiency and less binding at low speeds. Finally, Yukons sold in California are fitted with a new catalytic converter that earns the truck ULEV certification.

Denali, better then any others - 2003 GMC Yukon
By jacey99 - July 23 - 2:00 amThis truck is the best automobile Ive ever owed. The ride is very smooth. The trucks body is wonderful. I stand behind the denali this is my 3rd one. Have test driven many suv and have the denali to be the best. We like them so much my husband bought one for himself.

Best SUV of its size - 2003 GMC Yukon
By Tiki - July 23 - 2:00 amThis vehical is smooth like glass. It has power along with elegence and grace. We desided to purchase our Denali just prior to the birth of our baby girl (Jordan). We knew that the extra space would be helpful. Not long ago, we were involved in a auto accident that could have taken our lifes. But thanks to our choice of vehicle and by gods grace, we are still here. We were hit from behind by a SUV traveling 60-70 mph. The Denali maybe total out but, we will get a new one soon. For us, the Denali ranks #1.

Best All Around - 2003 GMC Yukon
By NedFink - July 17 - 2:00 amGreat around town-Super turning radius. Suoer road trip car and very capable off road. Split removeable thirs row is a great featuere. Build quality is fine but the gas milage is a little scary (14 around town, 16 hwy). Despite the price, the vehicle is recommended.

By John Brozowski - July 17 - 2:00 amI purchased a 2003 2500 GMC Yukon XL SLT in October, 2003 with the 8.1 Liter engine. I tow a 8500# trailer regularly, and I noted this car is not available for review. Here are my thoughts: 1. Towing capability is great compared to the previous design.The engine, transmission and suspension handle the trailer very well.model. 2. The interior, for $49,000, is still too much plastic. Vinyl 3rd seat? 3. This same truck in a pick-up model is about $10,000 cheaper. 4. GM continues to design big cars for small people. The seats go too far forward, The plastic running boards sag under my weight of 215#s.

My first SUV!! - 2003 GMC Yukon
By tsngrns - July 14 - 2:00 amThis is my first SUV. I am a fan of the Chevy but was lured to the GMC by the customer service. No pressure at all! Cant beat the financing. This car rides like a dream! I actually made a full uturn in the middle of e residential area without hitting the opposite curb. Would definitely buy again

Denali Disapoints - 2003 GMC Yukon

I guess I can now look to the Foreigners for my next vehicle becuase I finally am so dissapointed in GM that I have no choice. The 03 Denali has so many problems in 4,000 miles that I will begin to look at my Lemon Law options. Nice try but no QC.

The room a mom needs - 2003 GMC Yukon
By scrappier - June 6 - 2:00 amBest car Ive ever driven. I recently had a stroke and even my doctor says if Im used to driving this size car, its better for me to driven something this size. I also feel its got enough room for the kids and all our stuff when we take trips.

Everyone loves their Suburbans????? - 2003 GMC Yukon
By trandall - June 1 - 2:00 am"The Road to Redemption" The plastic running boards are now standard. The roof rack was standard, only to find the side rails werethe cross pieces were not!!!! The plastic wheel wells do not fit the size of the well opening. Wires did extrude from the turn signals and rear trailer hitch. The seat only reclines a few inches. The console is extremely large. The entire car is bulked up plastic? The interior plastic fits just as poorly and it covers so much empty space? We wont get into gas milage,trailer hitch plugs, window openings, rear view mirrors, light switches, temperature control knobs blocked by the shift lever, back seat space, etc
