Overview & Reviews
GMC's strong-selling Yukon heads into 2002 with few changes. The 5300 V8 is now ultralow emission certified (ULEV) for California. For states with less restrictive emission requirements, the Yukon offers flexible fuel capability with the use of cleaner burning gasoline blends. A more efficient starter, more durable steering gear housing and LATCH child seat attachments anchors round out the Yukon's upgrades for 2002.
- Powerful V8 lineup, roomy cabins, extensive list of standard features.
- Interior fit-and-finish concerns, still too similar to the Chevy Tahoe.

Good SUV - 2002 GMC Yukon
By Lee Medimaolle - February 8 - 1:52 pmThis the 2nd Yukon Ive owned. The combination of an excellent engine, solid ride, and good looks make it a great value. Additionally, repairs and replacement parts are inexpensive. I would recommend this SUV very highly.

Awesome SUV! - 2002 GMC Yukon
By rnrwatts - May 8 - 2:00 ammy husband and i are looking to save money on gas. Everything about this SUV has been wonderful. I did give it a 9 in fuel economy only because its what we expected when we bought a V8 SUV. This car run smoothly, handles accurately and have been a wonderful car for the last 2 years.

Excellent Yukon 4x4 - 2002 GMC Yukon
By SteveGoose - August 11 - 2:00 amWe have 2 kids and plenty of room in our Yukon to haul them, their stuff and our stuff as we travel up and down the coast line from NY to Fl to visit their grandparents. Also have the ability to haul as many as 9 occupants, which comes in handy when the uncles and aunts come along too.

Great Truck - 2002 GMC Yukon
By jayhawkjimbo - August 2 - 2:00 amMoved up from Ford F150 Super Crew 4x4 the Yukon seats should be in the living- room! GMC rides more luxurious. Only miss the higher torque, but Yukon has sufficient power (5.3L definately recommended). Couldnt be happier - dont know why everyone doesnt drive one of these SUVs. Interior storage compartment space is lacking, but handling more than makes up for this slight flaw.

Excellent S.U.V. - 2002 GMC Yukon
By Chris A. Mann - May 3 - 2:00 amOur Yukon is a excellent ride, fun to drive, easy to park in city traffic and the on-star communications system on board is a safe feeling knowing that if your in a severe accident with air bag deployment and can not respond, help will be coming. G.M.C. may want to consider replacing the engine cooling fans with electric fans to assist with better fuel milage.

Smoooooth - 2002 GMC Yukon
By happy_driver - January 24 - 2:00 amMy previous vehicle was a 96 Pathfinder...given the Yukon is a larger vehicle...but the drive is soooo much better. The V8 engine has alot of kick to it, but not too the point where is throws you into the back of your chair. Ive had it 24 hours, and I look forward to the next 100,000 miles with my Yukon.
